I gave my slip to the girl and she said«you know the garden is a veggie burger». I know that, I’m a vegetarian. She made the impression that being a vegetarian was something uncommon. You do have some black people who don’t eat meat! Lol… On top of that, they took forever to bring me my food. My other parties’ food came out after I had already ate all of my food. When the server was bringing the food to the table, she slipped and almost dropped a whole tray if food, if it wasn’t for that table being next to her… omg! Unorganized and very slow service. I came here when they first opened, this is my second visit, not coming back here!

Didn’t actually eat here. When we were waiting to order, a customer came up asking for a refund after seeing roaches on the floor. Needless to say we left without ordering.

Alexandria City A city full of corruption. A city where government contractors claw their way to the top, fighting with the oppressive government who requires telework agreements. A city of sin. This is the story of one man, a man who felt powerless. A man who was known as vegetarian until some snooty vegan said he wasn’t one because he ate fish tacos. A man seeking retribution to all slighted vegetarians who are told they are just on a «plant based diet» by doing the unthinkable. Eating a hamburger. There are many places that allow you to order a burger… but there was only one that asks you to fill in your name on the order slip. Foster’s Grille. It was then that I became: Dr. Invincible(cible ible ble le e) Bur-Girl and I went in and ordered. I order a Charburger with extra cheese. Take that judgmental vegans! REALCHEESE… not that daiya crap that tastes like sweater lint. And that’s right… a real beef patty, charred on the coals of JUSTICE! Bur-Girl got the same but with bacon. Sword of the Gods! We sat outside to survey the area. So many working professional slave bots. Me: They are all unaware of what is happening here Bur-Girl. Bur-Girl: Holy Cow Dr. Invincible, our food is here! Me: Burger Girl… Bur-Girl: *sigh* Holy Cow Dr. Invincible(cible ible ble le e) Me: *smiles* Our food sure did come out fast. Server: Ok, heres the Charburger with bacon. Bur-Girl: Oooh, that’s mine. Server: and here’s yours sir. Me: Are you sure it’s mine? I mean, what does the name say? Server: Uh, I’m not saying that. Me: *under my breath to Burger Girl* He’s probably vegan. The Burger was tasty, although I did have dreams that night that I was a special guest on the Golden Girls and made out with Blanche. Actually, not my worst dream. So with speedy service, tasty burgers and a great location, I have now dubbed Foster’s Grille as my lair. Beware Alexandria evil doer, Judgmental Vegan or Gov’t COR, I am watching. I am… go on, you say it this time

I went to Foster’s Grille on 2÷6÷16 for dinner. Foster’s Grille is a casual fast food restaurant. I wasn’t expecting a fine dining experience. However, I was expecting(for the price of the food) it to be better than a place like MacDonald’s. The food was meh. It didn’t help that the our order got messed up. I am usually a little more forgiving about this when it happens. However, the restaurant was half empty when I had dinner(so it clearly was an issue of the kitchen staff not reading my ticket correctly). In a nutshell, if you’re in the area and need a burger it will satisfy you but I wouldn’t go out of the way for it.

I have to echo the comments about poor service. The burgers are decent but the service is the worst I’ve seen in the Alexandria area in 20 years as a resident. This young dude working the bar was actually falling asleep five feet away from me. I had to ask for a beer 3 times! My visit this weekend was my first and last.

This place blows. The chicken sandwich is always sad and smushed, fries are soggy. They sometimes forget pickles or other toppings. I only eat here when I’m craving a chicken sandwich, because they’re the only ones who serve it in the area. Plus side is they have online ordering, and it’s never been late for me. The cashiers are also friendly.

I have been coming to this place for a while now and the hamburgers are amazing! Their customer service on the other hand is another story everyone there is very rude! They act as if they don’t want to beat work, which I understand but don’t take it out in the customers. Also whenever I call to make an order they just have no manners and try to rush you off the phone. Sometimes I’m not even done with my order before he trying to tell me the total! Great food but horrible service!!!

I was disappointed with the kids hotdog. It looked and tasted burnt. The strawberry shake however, was outstanding and the hamburgers were good. One last complaint: the hi C was too sweet. Not likely to return…

there’s no option for cooking burgers medium well, etc, they just burn the crap out of the meat. This Fosters burns the burgers dry. There are better juicier burgers at five guys, smash burger, shake shack. Enjoy your carcinogens on your burnt fosters charburgers.

This place sucks. Really disappointing because it is the closest place within walking distance from my work that serves burgers and fries. Sometimes I just get tired of sub sandwiches and want a good burger. You wont find one here. These are clearly frozen patties that don’t even have any seasoning. The burger is bland frozen pre-made meat with a generic bun, the fries are limp and cold, and the portions are not big. I’ve had better fries at McDonalds. That is what you get after waiting 20 minutes or more and paying $ 10.50 after tax. Not to mention that the staff is about as mopey, dull, slow, and miserable as you could imagine. I’ve been here four or five times, but today was definitely the last visit.

Worst place ever, from management to cooks! I ordered a salmon burger, waited almost 25 minutes until it finally came out. I luckily opened my sandwich and the salmon still had paper on it, they grilled it with paper! I went to the front and asked an employee for help, he quickly turned me away, then I went to the guy I ordered from, he took the sandwich and went to the cooks, they all started laughing… Really? He came back and said we’ll make you a new one. I didn’t have time and said just cancel it and give me a refund. He went to a manager who started cursing and was visually pissed off. Came back to talk to the cooks. who responded with ‘whatever’, he yelled at them, cane to me took my card and was cursing under his breath. NOTONEAPOLOGY! this place Sucks!!!

Thought I would check this place out for a quick beer and burger. Bad mistake. Burger was small and thin, totally tastless and overcooked. Definitely not made there, maybe ordered in bulk. Fries were old, oily and limp. The mission statement on the wall starts with… Foster’s Grille is committed to providing the highest quality food and energetic service… Serious? Bad food and the service? Well, if there was a contest and if I tried really hard to be as sullen, slow moving and unhelpful as I could, the wait staff would kick my butt into next week. At least my beer was really cold. This is a totally thumbs down. Probably will be gone within 6 months to 1 year.

This place is a self serve. Order your food at the cashier using one of the menus that you find at the entrance. Sit yourself wherever you want to after that and the staff will bring your food to you. I love the wings at this place. It’s does the job and the milk shakes are decent. Food are also priced decently. It cost around 11 bucks for wings, fries and a soda. I’m not a big fan of their fries, it reminds me of the fries at Five Guys. It’s very soft and bland. I prefer crispy fries but it’s not something that you can get often around here. You can opt out of the fries by replacing it with onion rings which is pretty yummy. I have to agree with previous reviews, service has seems to gone downhill over the last year or so. The staff used to be really cheerful and talkative, the current staff seems to dread coming to work and seems to get lost with your food order really often even though it’s not crowded. Overall it’s a good place to go if you are in a big group since all ordering is done individually up front at the cashier and you pay right away. Very helpful when you come in a big group, it’s saves the hassle of figuring how much you need pay at the end of dinner. I am part of a meetup group that meets here weekly and it’s really nice to be able to come in and order your food, pay and leave without the hassle of a group check.

This place has really seemed to have gone downhill recently. Three visits in a row the food is cold, or over cooked, or delivered at different times for a group(of two), or whatever. It’s just not as good as it used to be.

This place has me craving to come back! I tried it last week on my lunch break and that char burger with my toppings was the bomb! The cheese fries were great too! The ordering system is pretty cool. You fill out a sheet so they know exactly what you want. I like the fact they have fries like Five Guys. The staff was very friendly and I do plan to go back ASAP!

I went here instead of Five Guys for my burger craving and what a mistake that was. Mental note: Never second guess Five Guys haha. I shared my food with my friend and I ordered a hot dog and he got the burger with the works. At $ 13 with fries we hopped it would impress but it fell flat — very flat. Standard bun and toppings but what annoyed us the most was the clearly FROZEN patty. Burger 101 fail. I don’t mind a frozen burger when I know what I’m getting but they tried to dress a cow up with lipstick(i.e. bacon). No luck. I have a hard time re-visiting places that don’t have a signature nor memorable burger. Hot dog was nothing to write home about but maybe I should’ve stayed home and cooked all of this myself. At least then it would’ve had some flavor! They only get +1 for the hand squeezed lemonade but you can’t really mess up lemon, sugar, and water haha.

Oh my gosh. The burger I had here was amazing. So good. The guys that were working the register and taking orders were very polite. The décor of the restaurant was very amusing including a car shell attached to the ceiling.

My husband and I used to come here a lot before 7pm; then, you can get cheap wings. We always ordered about 10 pieces of hot wings, extra well-done, with a side of chili cheese fries and their charburgers. The food is pretty solid, and sometimes, there can be consistency issues with the cooking of the wings. However, the service is always friendly, and it seems as if there are a lot of people who come here for Happy Hour specials and/or to watch a game while eating a burger. +wings special before 7PM +chili cheese fries +charburgers +HH available +friendly staff

Fosters Grille: The Good: The place has , funky look with an open kitchen so you can watch them grill your burger. The menu is a sushi-style where you tic the boxes of what you want for your meal. Again not a bad thing. The atmosphere of this bar is its most appealing feature, for it is casual and easy. This is a great place to catch a game, and with $ 2 happy hour beers, you really can’t go wrong. The Bad: The service really needs work here. When I entered, Foster’s Grille had a bunch of off duty employees or friends of the staff just hanging out. Now, this wouldn’t have been so bad, but they weren’t drinking or eating and they were taking up prime bar real estate so that it was rather hard to find a seat. And I will admit, it is kind of intimidating to come upon a group that has staked the bar out as their territory. This may also have contributed to the slow service, for their were times that I waited on a beer for about 5 – 6 minutes and I was the only one drinking at the bar. The Ugly: The food was a bit ugly, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing as ugly food that is messy can be fun. However, in this case, the ugly consisted in a burger that was burned through and through and soggy chili fries. Again, not the worst thing in the world, but with a little more care in the preparation, my burger and chili fries could have been really delicious and not just ok. I really don’t wish to mean here, but it was kind of like eating high school cafeteria food. However, just like Clint Eastwood always seems to find himself seeking justice in a Spaghetti Western, I’m fairly certain that I will revisit this chuck wagon grille again. But hopefully my next Fosters Grille experience wont feel like I’m being bushwhacked with mediocre service and off the mark food. I hope so, because this place has a lot of potential.

We were walking around our new digs, and saw this place. Why not we thought. Pros: –Char burgers! My burger was not dry like some reviewer’s burgers. It was flavorful, thick, and juicy. Mmmhhhhm. –fries were pretty yummy. Thank goodness ours were not soggy. They were similar to Five Guys, just slightly less flavorful. –Price was right! Burger, fries, and a coke for under $ 10. –The restaurant was very clean, and service was acceptable. Cons: –We were afraid to try it with all the sub par reviews! –The hubs said he’d give his Philly a three out of five. The bun wasn’t toasted, the cheese wasn’t melted enough for him, and he felt his sandwich was rushed. Maybe stick to the burgers? Verdict: –We’ve found our new neighborhood burger spot!
