This place is great that you gotta go to if you get a chance. This is a great location to get fresh and organic groceries. Stopped by many times to get already prepared pizza DOUGH to make any funky different pizza shape you could make. All u have to do is roll it out and add toppings from fresh spinach or cheesy mozzarella or even a meaty prochito ham also provided at the local store. Moderate prices for a superb quality of food. Thumbs up to Trader Joe’s

The last experience I had here was terrible. Food went bad a week before the«best by» date. Lots of money down the drain, we couldn’t even eat half of what we bought days before. The premade food is gross and bland. Only perk was my daughter could push her own shopping cart around and got stickers at the checkout.

What I love about trader joes is the frozen section. Cheap healthy eats like convenient stir fries, veggies, quick meals, etc. Also a good variety of organic food that’s at least reasonably priced! Seconding Howie though on the produce — it goes bad SOFAST. Not even worth it. Meats and such I tend to freeze immediately. We only shop here occasionally and I tend to stock up on frozen healthy goods.

I am perplexed by the thought of what I would do if we did not have Trader Joe’s. They are my mainstay… Great food, excellent prices, I know they take great care in delivering quality comestibles which means a lot to me.

Prices, Store, Grocery Choices and Service is why I drive all the way up to Paseo and Ventura. I have so many favorites and I love shopping here every week. They have so many fun holiday dish ideas that I love to try out. Go in and just walk around and you will find some amazing items that you would never normally try.

Typical Trader Joes set-up. The thing that sets this one apart from other Trader Joes, like the one in Oceanside, is the friendly staff. I walked in just looking for salsa and ran in to a large man named Ricky. He had a big personality and was really funny and helpful. He definitely brightened my day. As I checked out, the check out staff was very friendly and was honestly interested in their customers! You don’t see that every day. Awesome experience, keep up the good work guys; a well deserved 5 stars!

Great grocery store. You can find things here that you won’t find anywhere else. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The store is big enough to offer what you need but small enough to make it easy to find everything you want. The food is healthy and fresh. It’s a tad expensive but good stuff usually is. Highly recommended.

This is my store. I buy a majority of my groceries here. I write this review in a somber mood. I took my BIG exam… I think I pretty much bombed it. :(Headed straight to TJs for a bottle of $ 2 Chuck and some munchies. Pinot Grigio is my poison… but I also buy their margarita mix, its all natural and makes a terrific margarita! I can’t say much more than everyone else has as far as the pros for TJs… its affordable, great products, and has a wonderful wine selection. So… on bad days like today…$ 2 Buck Chuck… thank the Gods for your delicious cheap nectar to soothe a bruised ego. :-(

Trader Joe’s alright. Everything you’d expect. They even had a small sampler of their turkey bacon on a cracker with a tuna fish spread that was actually pretty good. I don’t like tuna at all, so that’s a hard one to put on paper…

I’m dropping this rating by a star because of the lack of freshness of the baked goods and produce, especially the berries. Shopper take heed: eat it up quick. Over the past year we’ve made return trips to TJs on many occasions due to molding breads, strawberries, nectarines, lettuce, tortillas, over-ripe watermelon and pineapple, the list goes on. Forget the raspberries unless you’ll chomp ‘em down the day of purchase. The rolls in the bread section never last longer than a few days. And we’ve had other disappointments: chicken hot dogs that expire a couple days after we bring ‘em home, same goes for some of the sausage, and the packaged meats on occasion. In other words, be especially wary of expiration dates, and give special scrutiny to anything that might spoil in or out of the fridge. I’ve had several discussions about this with employees and they’ve been honest, «eat it up quick». I love that they give soon-to-be parishable items to a great local food bank and I applaud the effort. Furthermore, every time I’ve returned an item I’ve met nothing but friendly customer service. But the issue is what it is. A family should be able to reliably purchase a week’s worth of food from a grocery store without stressing the day it may go bad. I do love all of the little things that make TJs great. I love the sea salt butterscotch chocolates and super cheap coffee and the wealth of semi-healthy frozen goods, alongside the local alcohol selection and cool stuff you won’t find anywhere else, like flax seed infused almond butter. I love the organic selection. My favorite conversations always happen during checkout: Cashier(holding a bag of something): Have you tried this yet? Me: No. Cashier: Oh, these are SOGOOD. I put them in my smoothies. Amazing. Expect great customer service and a distribution chain that needs a re-vamp.

When Trader Joes came to ABQ I was so excited. I still am. I don’t shop here all the time, since it’s so far from my house, but I think the selection of a) Orchids, b) cheese, and c) wine, make it a stand out. The prices are reasonable and I like to get fruit and veggies here too. The parking tends to feel tight at this location, but, it could just be the times when I go.

What’s not to like about this grocery store? They have all the standard Trader Joe’s stuff, plus some great local items. We were surprised, for example, to see local beers for sale at this national chain. A great place to stock up on groceries in ABQ!

Good ol’ Trader Joe’s. It’s a clear testament to my love of this place that I am much closer to Sprouts/Sunflower adn regularly stop there, yet still make it a point to drive much farther out to stop here, FORNOOTHERREASONTHANTHAT I’M A FIEND. I just like certain products from here. To use one of the recurring metaphors that arises in my reviews, this place just slangs the best dope. In the drug world, the tops of vials differentiated dealers and clients thus looked for red tops or blue tops according to their tastes. Well, I do that. There are certain things I only will buy from TJ’s: –their OJ(the pure, not the cut, if you nah mean) because of it’s price and taste –their cheese selection, which I again like because of the prices –all those damn tasty concoctions that they package like their chocolate chip cookie buckets, their soups, their sausages, their turkey bacon… again, at a fair price Oh, and I love that I can always come in here, have a sampling of some dish and wash it down with some coffee and cream. Always. That’s just awesome. I would probably give this place one more star, but this parking lot is cray. You know the scenes in The Wire when all the fiends are lined up to get that rock? Well, it’s amazing that a bunch of crackheads can behave more civilly and controllably than high-brow uptown TJ’s shoppers.

Outstanding place to do your grocery shopping! I am a HUGE Trader Joe’s fan. I fell in love with the place the first time I walked in several years back :). They have great produce, yummy frozen meals, a great selection of on the go meals and cheeses… not to mention that a lot of their stuff is all natural. I like getting their frozen meals for work because they don’t have the preservatives that a lot of others frozen meals do. I have to take a little time to talk about their wine. I LOVE Trader Joe’s wine. And some of it is dirt cheap! I’m kind of a wino and they have decent wines for $ 3-$ 7 per bottle. I don’t know how they do it, but I won’t ask questions. They have a fabulous selection. The only drawback(not enough to take away the 5-stars) is that they don’t have a location on the west side :(. However, this place is top-notch. Don’t walk there, RUN!

I am the happiest person ever now that Albuquerque has Trader Joe’s. I have been excited since they opened however many years ago. They make healthier eating more affordable and their shelves and freezer section are full of awesome things to help you come up with creative ideas for dinner. There is an awesome selection of food, desserts, ready-to-go meals, wine, booze, household items, and flowers. I see no reason to stop going. The shoppers have never been a problem for me– everyone seems to mind their own business and be in their own little grocery shopping world. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the lines move quickly. I’ll be a fan for life so far as I can tell.

In my case, this place is pretty much all around perfect. There are really no distance problems, as others have noted, being that it’s a half mile from my house. Everything is all around great at this location. My only complaint would be that they’ve stopped carrying the dried pomegranate seeds, but I believe they’ve been removed from all locations which is sad indeed. A definite thumbs up from myself and my family as well!
