Be advised that when looking at dementia/​alzheimer units the pricing can increase drastically after they get you hooked. Additional fees get tacked on and on. In addition, the room you are shown may not be in fact the room that your loved one ends up in like what happened with my grandmother. When families are in crisis and need a place to put an elderly relative, it is terrible that a business such as this does not provide clear costs up front. Make sure you take at least two tours at different times of the day to get a clear picture of the interaction with staff and patients. Bed ridden patients’ rooms are mixed in with higher functioning patients. While there appears to be good reviews on the assisted living care side, it does not seem in my opinion that the dementia side is equal.
