Much better then the first time I was here. Good regulars. Hockey on the big screen.

If you love craft beer and want a variety of breweries to choose from, this is your place. NHBG does an excellent job of bringing in taps from all over the country and locally. They also throw special events where they bring in a special keg from a brewery and they will have free swag giveaways. NHBG’s food menu has something for everyone. My personal favorite is the green chile cheeseburger. Ask for a side of their queso. You can thank me later. The restaurant is always pretty packed. Friday and Saturday evenings are particularly busy. They usually have a guest DJ playing music late Friday and Saturday nights. The bar area turns into a dance party. The staff friendliness is either hit or miss. Overall, if you are looking for a good bite to eat and a good craft beer, NHBG is your place.

Didn’t have any drinks here, just came to dance and check the place out. It has a small dance floor pretty close to the bar, but you’re still able to make it work. Booths and seats at the bar so there are options to sit. Like anything else bring a good crowd and it’ll be a fun time.

Just a couple of things: *Enjoyed our slow waitress showing us her two tattoos on each of her legs right under her a** cheeks(that’s how short her outfit was). * It took 15 minutes to receive my mixed drink on a Thursday at 4:00 pm with the restaurant ¼ full. * Waitress brought tea no spoon or sugar so tea was cold by the time we could flag someone down to get those items. *salads are great but ask for dressing on the side so it isn’t swimming in dressing. My cousin said her burger was good but after dealing with the top issues I was over this over rated place; lucky for us she treated. There’s so many more better places to dine in Nob Hill.

I do not know why, but I had the idea that this was going to be a dive. Boy was I wrong! We walked in and the atmosphere was really classy and well done. Including the huge elevated fish tank. We were quickly seated and started pouring over the beer menu. It was pretty long. Covered two pages with lots and lots of options. I often ding a place when they completely lack selection of the amazing local beers. And they really did lack all local beer. The only New Mexico beer was from Santa Fe. However, they did a really great job filling it out with a good selection. Including some sour beers which is not common and always appreciated. We were hungry so we looked for some appetizers. I will warn that they do not have a single inexpensive appetizer. Not one. But, the jicama duck tacos were well worth it. They really were amazing. Four tacos served on a very thin slice of jicama making a perfect«tortilla». I was really impressed! I had debated what I wanted to order and finally decided on the goat cheese salad with an add-on of steak. The steak was well cooked and the salad was really good. Perhaps the only thing would be less oil in the vinaigrette. But the overall meal, including presentation, was on point. My wife’s fish and chips were pretty good. Maybe not the most amazing fish and chips, but not a bad. She said she wouldn’t get it again but that she was excited to try other items too. So overall, we’ll be back! Oh, they also had a really extensive cocktail list. We didn’t try any, but will next time.

Really more like 3.5 stars. My steak was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The mashed potatoes were a different story. Flavorless and very dry. I needed salt and pepper but there wasn’t any at the table. My biggest issue was that they must be having an ice shortage. Our waters had no ice, and my sprite had barely any and it melted right away. I also never got a refill on my drink.

Yummy! Once again a great place for a good burger, service and conversation. I had the green chili burger. Yummy. Cooked the way I like it. Fries are good too. Dinning companions loved their meatloaf and tacos. I’ll be back. Service is ok. Price is reasonable. Not a fan of paid parking? Plenty of free parking one block to the north or south of Central.

Our server was very efficient, organized, and friendly. However, I was pretty disappointed in the food I was served on my most recent visit to Nob Hill Bar & Grill. I got the very appealing sounding«Drity Burger» — an incredible concoction with onion rings, a fried egg, bacon, chili con carne, and«beeronaise» on top. I ordered it with the New Mexico wagyu beef for an extra $ 3 and went with medium-rare. The cook was under medium but not quite rare enough to be called medium-rare. I didn’t mind that much, and the burger was quite good(and massive!). Sadly, my french fries were stone cold and the«chipotle ketchup» tasted more like BBQ sauce than ketchup. It was too dully sweet. I wanted the vinegar tang that ketchup provides — the meal needed that. I should have asked for regular ketchup once I realized, so that’s on me. I got a cocktail(a «Saintini» — I am partial to gin, St. Germain, and lime/cucumber concoctions), but it was far too sweet. St. Germain is sweet, but this didn’t taste like St. Germain. It tasted like a glass of simple syrup, period.(The«It’s 505 Somewhere» at Monte Vista Fire Station across the street does a much better version of this drink — and bigger and cheaper.) After that, hurting from the $ 10 I spent on that horrible drink, I got a huge $ 3 can of PBR and drank it while sorely regretting that I hadn’t just done that in the first place.

MYVOTEFORBESTBURGERINABQ. And for the record, let’s knock off this«Snob Hill» business. I am a good cook and the best meals I’ve had in the last year were in other cities. So when I go out to eat, I am pretty picky(maybe too picky?) and not predisposed to be delighted. I can grill a great burger with the terrific grass fed ground beef from La Montanita, but I am ALWAYS looking for a great Burger Place. Until the Nob Hill Grill, my go to’s were 5 Star and the Kobe Beef burger at Marcello’s bar. What I like here is the friends who are with me have a broad array of choices and my experience is that the meals are well priced. I also like beer. And as much as I like to drink local brews(we are lucky to be getting such good local beer), the Beer List here is impressive — someone has put together a very thoughtful list and how so much of it is on tap astounds me. In closing: If you take the time to tell the waitstaff how you want your burger cooked, that is exactly what you get. Sounds logical, right? I can do this until the cows come home and rarely get the burger I asked for. 2: I like the waitstaff and the level of service. They Don’t remove a dining partner’s empty plate without asking, when others at the table are still eating — this gives me hope that manners aren’t extinct. And if they forget a condiment and you have to mention it when the food arrives, it is retrieved promptly(as opposed to waiting while your food turns cold). So if your way of protesting the alleged snobbiness of the Neighborhood is littering, I’d appreciate your going elsewhere — because street litter and paid parking are my only complaints… neither of which are the fault of this restaurant. Ps It seems to me Nob Hill has taken a real hit with the rise of ABQ Uptown. I think we should make a real effort to support the small, local establishments — and also talk until we’re blue in the face about what a bad decision paid parking in Nob Hill and Downtown is. It is hurting both areas — kind of like cutting off your nose to spite your face. Just say’in…

Since everyone else addressed it, I will, too. The service is average FORNEWMEXICO. They are not in any particular hurry. This is bad because I have toddler-like patience when I’m hungry. This is good because they don’t rush you out of the restaurant. This is the place we go to catch up with friends when they happen to be in town. We’ve never had problems taking our kids here and request to sit at the booth near the kitchen because they like watching everything being prepared(and it keeps them busy while we’re chatting with friends). I love their drinks and I’ve yet to have a bad meal here. I think the prices are fair for what you get. The quality isn’t typical of Albuquerque restaurants and I think it’s nonsense that people expect enormous servings of food made with high quality ingredients at Waffle House prices. Also, gluten-free friendly.

SERIOUSLY??? NOT impressed with the steak salad I ordered last night. SERIOUSLY? A BUNCH of lettuce and four small pieces of sirloin steak??? Not a good value! When did a salad become sooooo expensive in this town??? Also, the chocolate cakes tasted like it came directly out of a box? If you seek tasty and loaded salad, Go to GRAVY!!! This is not the place«:( ANOTHERTIME… we ordered the salmon special and what a disappointment! Only a few bites of Salmon I got for more than $ 20. Yes tasty but not a good value! Shape up or I’m shipping out!!!

If I would have written this review a year ago, it would not have been the same. Thomas has taken the reins on getting hard to come by craft brew, some local, some national, that is making this place ALLTHERAVE on where to go to get craft beer. Amazing stuff here, guys. Tip: follow them on social media to see what wonderful beers/Brewers/events they have as they are ever changing. Not a beer drinker? In the middle of ABQ Beer Week I decided I’d had one too many malty, hoppy, beverages and ordered a martini. Perfect with just a little ice floating on top. And food? In addition to bar food, I ordered this AMAZINGLY steak salad(I’ll post a pick) that had a horseradish vinaigrette and rare tenderloin. I dare you to find that lovely combo at most bars. It’s my new go-to spot.

Used to love this place because yes the brunch is amazing along with their unique menu but seriously the service is very crappy. If you’re not trendy, hip, or just cool rocking designer fashion top to bottom. Very picky and don’t even bother saying hi or asking how are you? Like any other restaurant service welcoming you with open arms! Business is business if you want the customer to come back again. The guy at the bar told us we couldn’t sit there. Since there were about six seats at the bar when there could be more seats. We wanted to sit there for dessert and drinks on a Saturday after a passing in the family. He wanted to us to sit in the very tiny corner of the restaurant where no one can see you, where you can’t be serviced. I’m sorry the short skinny guy with the samurai mini bun is rude. Couple minutes later another couple shows up and they take our seats at the bar. In the end he ended up giving them better service than us. Beyond disappointed and I don’t think we ever plan on coming back here again. Just because the outside of the restaurant is appealing and nice. Doesn’t mean it’s going to be the same inside. If you want go to other local bars who will service you better like marble, tractor, or nexus. This place needs to be avoided with negative and judgmental snobs who work there.

Fun atmosphere and great location! There is several choices of seating that can suit you for a date night, friends night out or party with their booths and outdoor patio. The menu is simple with sky, surf or turf and greens menu. The munchies(appetizers) are fun and the three dip chip basket is delicious and easy to share. There’s a large beer selection and cocktails. The house margaritas just hits the stop! Weither you want a casual date night or a way to celebrate the weekend, check out Nob Hill Bar & Grill!

Well Snob Hill, you surprised me quite a bit with this experience. I’ve had a few meals or appetizers here and there in the past, but I was never biting at the chomp to return. After last night, this’ll be a different story! For one, I got one hell of a steal on Alibi bucks… $ 25 for a $ 50 gift certificate. There was a very limited supply and boy did they sell out fast. Even more awesome; they let you use it towards booze too. #TuesdayBoozeday, of course. Started with a shot of Herradura Silver(on Happy Hour for five bucks… Hollllaaaa!) and a La Cumbre Hefeweizen. They also offer their top four appetizers on the menu(I mean literally numbers one through four, not the«top» as in tastiest) for 5 bucks also! We went for the nachos which were smothered in their queso, topped with melted cheddar jack, guacamole, sour cream, jalapenos and chili beans. Let me tell you what. These nachos were no joke on the spice front. The guacamole had a kick to it to begin with, the chili was a bit spicy, and the jalapenos were NUTS. I like to think I can take a pretty good stomp in the mouth for spice, but these jalapenos were some of the hotter ones I’ve had in town. Thank goodness for my fruity hefeweizen to calm down the buds. Next up was a small side salad… very leafy! Authentic greens; none of that lame iceberg on your plate. Very simple salad(onions, carrots, cucumbers) but paired with a creamy, made from scratch ranch that’ll make you wish you had more things to dip in it! Following the salad came our sliders trio, which consisted of thick mini burgers on a soft bun topped with a mini pickle and a grape tomato. There were three different types; the bacon gorgonzola(classic and delicious), the grilled mushroom and provolone(smoky, earthy and yummy), and finally the ol’ cheddar and green chile(spicy chile, gooey cheddar, traditional New Mexican, what more can you ask for?) — I loved these sliders. A huge burger can be overwhelming to finish, and you start to lose your mojo for the flavors offered, but with mini ones with a variety of flavors, it takes burger eating to a much more interesting and fun level. Next up were the half rack of ribs, paired with a grilled corn on the cob in a red chile butter, and a creamy potato salad with hunks of egg. The ribs were super tender and we definitely picked those bones clean! The barbecue sauce was good, but not amazing. I wanted either a little more of a kick or sweeter… but the flavor needed to go a little more to one side or another rather than just finding a boring medium. After all the other POW flavors we had, it was surprising that the BBQ sauce didn’t nail it. I’m not sure if it was made in house or just a brand’s bottle. The corn was good — the red chile butter was the best part. The potato salad was a bit strange for me — the potato hunks were too thick and not soft enough… now don’t get me wrong, I like my potatoes al dente in a potato sal, but these were a bit too al dente, plus, the sauce wasn’t impressin’ me much. Thanks Shania Twain. :P It was creamy but it lacked pizzazz. But hey, approximately six minutes after my last bite of the entrée, I wasn’t even THINKING about the mediocre sauce or potato sal. No no no… because delivered to our table next was one tasty beautiful perfect treat that should be celebrated the world over. «I LOVEFRITTERBOMBS» from the rooftops of NYC! For real. This thing was majestic. Little fritters with a nice warm soft center, topped with Milkstout ice cream, topped with Bailey’s infused whipped cream, topped with a little caramel toffee thin sort of treat and drizzled all over with silky caramel. I swore I was stuffed to the brim until this thing arrived. Suddenly it was a fight to the death with my companion over the last exquisite morsel. Our server Emma was absolutely terrific. Very informative, extremely helpful, always on top of refills, and recommended the Fritter Bombs. For that, I am eternally grateful! Nob Hill was so close to a five star rating, but I just couldn’t go all the way this time due to my entrée. I’ll update soon after I try the next seasonal option, and we’ll see if we can stretch that last star! Regardless, hop on in before the crazy dance club experience, because then you’re just in a totally different place altogether. I think Nob Hill needs to be reviewed in two separate parts. Nob Hill Bar vs Nob Hill Grill ;)

I think it’s appropriate to launch this review with a memoir of the Dirty Stripper. Got your attention, huh? It was my bachelor party, about a decade back, and I’m about to fizzle your anxious, repressed hopes. I knew a guy who worked here and he invited me and my bros to kick things off on the patio. He told me to order a drink and await my plate. I wish I still had the picture of the sexy thang that arrived: an enormous New York strip, loaded with the kitchen sink. Foie gras, fried onion, two or three cheeses, asparagus, fries, an egg easy-over, the works. I devoured every contour of that Dirty Stripper, and it seriously sustained an evening of booze. Since then I’ve avoided the place, mainly because I heard(from the guy who worked there) that it was going downhill, and over the years I’d noticed that the focus on weekends was obviously the UNM crowd, which isn’t a knock on ‘em, it just wasn’t my scene. About a year back I heard they changed ownership. And then about a month ago I was cruising through EDo when I caught sight of a billboard featuring a bevy of Sex In The City ladies holding champagne bottles and flutes, looking like they were A) having way too much fun and B) obviously didn’t exist in this city, and so I slowed down and noted that the billboard was advertising brunch at Nob Hill Bar & Grill. And I was like, Huh. Brunch. With blondes. Who don’t live here. Well, I’d still check out brunch. So when I had a chance to grab a meal with a few folks from Über on a Saturday I suggested this place, and we met, and I learned that brunch with the non-existent blondes only occurred on Sundays. Oh well. I had a steak salad which briefly reminded me of that evening so long ago and my friends had burgers and tuna and some other stuff, oh, and we opened it with ceviche, which was fantastic. And I really liked it. And I was kinda bummed that there weren’t more people in the house, because they deserve a bigger crowd. If you peruse the timeline of reviews on this place, you’ll notice that they’ve had their ups and downs. These days, they’re on the Upside. So go. And if the weather’s tolerable, grab a seat on the patio. Good, good times.

As a night club. well, this place is immature. That’s my opinion. Think college night, frat party, sweaty just out of their teens boys trying to pick up on anything in a skirt to the blaring house music. They’re aggressive too. It’s like, «Hey, Fellah stop trying to act like calling me a M.I.L.F. is going to make me all gooey for you». I wound up here after a night at a private club. Like European cafes, Nob Hill Bar & Grill should have a sign up front of what you can expect on the inside to let patrons know what they are in for. Then they can decide if they are interested. It might read: College kids inside. They’re drunk. Gropers roaming. $ 2.00 Jäger shots. Elbow to elbow dance floor, it’s hot too. As a restaurant, I’ve never been and by the smell of the club, I doubt I’ll try it. Something sad happens when a restaurant is also a dance club. It usually starts to smell like stale alcohol and sometimes puke. This seems to be the case at this establishment. It would be fun if I were still in my twenties, but thankfully that ship has sailed. If you’re established, you might wanna hot shower after leaving this club. I did. Cheers.

Tonight was my first time to NHBG since they changed ownership and I was impressed! The draught beer menu is very extensive with so many great options I had a really hard time choosing. For dinner, I ordered the seafood gnocchi with lobster, calamari, scallops and crab in a white wine cream sauce with spinach and tomatoes. The flavor of the sauce was delicious and the gnocchi was tender and flavorful. My only gripe was that some of the seafood was on the overcooked side — calamari was downright rubbery and lobster was a little chewy, while the scallops and crab were more tender. Everyone else really loved their meals(and beers) as well, with orders of steak frites, hand made tortellini and short ribs around the table. You also can’t beat a seat out on the patio overlooking Central on a beautiful spring evening!

Based on the menu, this should be THESPOT in Nob Hill. The menu is full of food porn, everything sounds delicious, and deciding is the most difficult thing, ever. Well, it would be… if you had to place an order in a timely manner. That’s not an issue here. Are you cool with waiting 30 minutes to get your drink while your waitress chills in an empty booth with her friends giggling and being obnoxious? This is the place for you! Visually, this looks like a chill spot to get some good food, have a drink, and hang out. The abysmal service will make your visit less than awesome, if patience is your virtue give this place a try. The food here is pretty great for Albuquerque, they have lots of different burger options, sandwiches, and salads. It’s a different take on bar fare, and it’s good. Really. My 3 star rating would be a 2 based on the service if the food weren’t what it is. The menu has changed quite a bit, and there isn’t as much Vegan fare as there used to be, which sucks. They do have a patio, which is nice almost any time, and parking isn’t horrible. I’ll be back here if someone else wants to go, but it’s not on my list of places to visit simply because I don’t have the patience of a saint, and I like to eat and drink in semi-timely fashion.

This place use to be a staple in Nob hill. The last few times I’ve been the service has been mediocre to dismal. The food has its ups and downs with the wait staff it seems. The food was great but hasn’t evolved much or stayed the same really. The whole place seems to have lost a step. The typical Albuquerque beer selection is the only steady here. The one plus is the patio but not as great as some other Nob Hill locals. Just an update on the previous. This place has literally went to shambles. The service went from dismal to horrid. The food doesn’t really taste like much of anything especially for the price range. Big changes need to be made here or I think the doors may close soon. So dissatisfied.
