Went here with visiting friends who wanted sushi and didn’t want to go far. The reviews seemed good so I thought we could give it a go.
First for the pros: the staff was very friendly. We were promptly seated and the waiter was great about checking in with us throughout the meal. The Miso soup was tasty.
Now for the cons: the main dishes seriously failed to impress. My Teriyaki Tofu Hibachi was very disappointing. The tofu was limp and didn’t have much flavor. The beans in the dish were solid, but the tofu was so off-​putting I didn’t finish.
My friends had the California roll, and complained that it tasted strongly of Mayonnaise. I didn’t try to confirm.
The service gets this place 3 stars, but our food was only 2 stars. Maybe the tofu should just be avoided.

Mr T was ok. Good sized portions, my tempura was greasy, and the grease maybe needed changing. Other than that quick, pleasant service, ok food.

I love Mr.Tokyo. We have been eating here for years. My favorite is their Vegetable Tempura. My husband loves their Udon. They have great lunch specials too!

We found a new place to try. Décor is yucky. Black and gray. But it was clean. The food was really good at a great price. The drinks are Expensive! $ 2.50! order water.
