Used the Groupon for two flights of beer for my wife and I. This included 10 tastes of beer and a pretzel appetizer. The beer was a uninspired and unimaginative for a local microbrewery and the location was hidden in the very back of a strip mall. The appetizer was passable. It looked like all the other customers were there on the Groupon too. The waiter told me they had been in their current location for about 4 years. We did buy a cool pint glass with a nice logo. Now the place has gone out of business as of October of 2015.

This place closed October 2, 2015. A little disappointed coming all the way from Miami for beer.

Meh… The beer isn’t great but it did get me drunk. It’s also next to a massage parlor if that’s your thing.

Broken bottles or broken hearts? Went here for the second time & they had last call SUPER early. The waitress was very rude and unhelpful. I’m pretty sure I won’t be going here again.

This place does not feel like a brewery. I don’t think it is. Feels like more of a whole in a wall place. Waitress was rude and called last call at 11 when they close at 12. Don’t even waste your money on the groupon.

The atmosphere and service was great. The food was ok(queso was very ordinary, chips tasted like they were store bought — the cheap kind, but the BBQ pork with siracha was good). Had a Groupon for the beer flights which was the most disappointing part of the evening. The ipa… well…it was flat… no hops… yeah…that’s not good. When my wife(an ipa lover) tried all the flights but asked where was the ipa, I knew why this place was only rated three stars overall. Sad because I’d love for this place to succeed on the west side.

I am a bit conflicted here. On the one hand, I want to support the local beer scene and small businesses while on the other, I was really unimpressed by the beer. The best way to describe it was that both beers I tried tasted under attenuated and they had a taste that I often find in home brew. My black IPA was lacking hops and tasted too sweet. My wife’s trippel tasted more like a sweet dubbel but was cloying either way. I’d give them another shot in the future but no hurry. I will say the atmosphere was nice and we had good service. Also, they had really cool chairs which were apparently welded in house.

My boyfriend and I are IPA drinkers, neither of us care much for this one. On the plus side our waitress was very nice and the décor was fun.

Excellent Beer wide variety, have never been disappointed in their brew selection, unless they are currently out of my favorite.

First off — bottomless pretzels and queso for $ 3. Perfect pairing for your flights. How can you beat that?! I tried a variety of beers — the cactus juice was interesting but not for me. Their Pumpkin Porter is great — think dark chocolate meets pumpkin pie. Milk Stout is so-so but their Mulligan is great. The Louisiana Hot Link is delicious and comes sides of ketchup, mustard and BBQ sauce.

I didn’t know this place existed and its been around for two years. It is hidden behind the sushi king restaurant in a strip mall. A friend of mine invited me to join her since she had a groupon for this place. They seemed to have a good selection of beers but I am not a big beer drinker. I ordered the Nacho and it went down smoothly. We also ordered an appetizer, the nachos. Were a bit spicy and kinda basic but did the job.

Fair warning is needed, don’t go for food. Pint prices were tempting though. The craft beers themselves are less than what I expected from a local micro brew. A date and I got a coupon for an appetizer and two flyers of tastings. THe beers themselves were not terrible. They were passable as beer but I find nothing in them that would make me want to make a point to go back for more of it. I was severely disappointed at the food menu. With a little imagination and effort I’m sure they could come up with something better than pretzels, humus, and blah queso as appetizers. Even though we didn’t eat off the entrée menu it did not look promising at all. Going on a Saturday I expected them to be busier than they were, at one point we were the only patrons they had. But reading other reviews I’m not surprised that the BBB hasn’t taken off. Seems like they are not too interested in making things better. Perhaps the status quo of just getting by is acceptable to the owners. The service was really good. I hope so since they had little to no business at the time. The waitress was friendly and attentive with a smile.

Beer is decent and worth trying, but don’t go there hungry. Food is nasty. Absolutely no thought has gone into the menu. It is very evident that they make a weekly run to COSTCO for pretzels, cheese and precut/precooked chicken and Franks hot sauce which they call a chicken sandwich. Could be a hip joint if they vamped up their menu.

It’s not great but it isn’t bad. The beer is meh. It’s OK, nothing special. It is served a bit warmer than I prefer. It’s cold but not ice cold. We tasted 10 beers. The black IPA was probably the best of the bunch, but it was a pretty basic IPA and not very hoppy. The seasonal Vienna Saas-age was pretty good. The others all seemed to taste the same. The bar is trendy industrial style, reasonably attractive. The location in the rear of a strip mall must be terrible for business. We tried an order of green chile queso and chips. Tasted like commercial nacho cheese sauce with a few canned green chiles, served with tostito round chips. Not good.

I hate giving the dreaded one-star review, but unfortunately BBB deserves it. I first visited several months ago and had a bad experience, but wanted to give it another shot because the location is so convenient to my house. Just like last time, I could not find a beer that was remotely drinkable. Their IPA was warm and not very hoppy, and their brown didn’t have the caramel or chocolatey flavors that I was hoping for. Their saison didn’t come close to Santa Fe Brewing or Marble’s saisons. The vibe in the place was pretty depressing too, with just a few regulars and some music playing at a really low level. The bartender wasn’t particularly friendly, but wasn’t rude either. Again, I really wanted to like BBB, but when you have better options on the westside now, like Marble’s taproom or Bosque, why even bother coming here?

Beer was tasty. Small spot not much atmosphere but still fine for a small local place. They offer flights of beer to sample all they have to offer. Regular brews as well as seasonal. $ 4 pints. Not too shabby. I had the Hoff. Fresh wheat beer. Hubby had the brown bear stout. Yummy. They we split a beer float. Beer and ice cream oh yeah! Who knew. We will return. I agree with the other posts regarding the names on the chairs. A bit off putting. Still ont know if we’d get bumped from our table if the«owner» we’re to show

Albuquerque is full of beer snobs. I knew that the craft brewing scene was serious here, and after talking to a few folks I had heard more than a few bad things about Broken Bottle. Finding myself on the west side one day, I knew I had to find out for myself. What I found was not a train wreck of a brewery(contrary to what I had heard). Instead, I found a small brewery making decent beer, and offering a little food, too. They have regular drafts, as well as seasonals. The food comes from Paco’s, a nearby food operation. To be fair to the beer snobs, there was a little funkiness going on with some of the brews. This brewery likes unusual ingredients, and the taste profile of some of their suds is not conventional. That being said, their black IPA was delicious, and I liked their imperial red, too. Service was OK for an empty Saturday at noon. Food was OK, nothing special. I wouldn’t make the trek out here specifically for the beer(certainly not the food), but I wouldn’t warn people against it, either. It’s an OK brewery, and if you like beer it’s something you should see if for no other reason than the diversity of beer in the Duke City.

I have mixed feelings about Broken Bottle. So, let’s break it down. The Good: –Really unique beer. I think I heard the bartender tell me it was made with some sort of different corn ingredient, although I can’t be sure. But it’s different from any other beer I’ve tasted –You can order from Nicky V.‘s across the street or Sushi King across the lot and they will bring the food to Broken Bottle —Decent prices —Different events like Geeks that Drink, Comedy/Open Mic nights, and Live bands. —Nice staff The Not-so-Good: –Pretty small space. They sometimes have live bands there and it can get kind of loud and obnoxious in such a small space –Not a great location The Verdict: Ehh, I would try this place again especially because it’s on my end of town, but it’s definitely not my favorite brewery here in Albuquerque. We have such great local tap rooms, and this place just isn’t my first choice.
