Wow, so dead this Saturday. Apparently they’ve teamed up with Alien(of the beer) and are now known as Alien Brewpub. I wonder if that has something to do with the lack of patronage today. On second thought there are no games. Right now unless you are one to watch basketball. Same good food though. My go to dish is the past state fair winning green chili cheese burger… tempura battered green chili strips and a big juicy patty. It’s a mouthful but worth the stretch. Last time we got the nacho fries, mmmmm… Imagine it… all the toppings of scrumptious nachos served over deep fried taters! Not quite finger food anymore. Friendly service, fair pricing, and good food will keep me coming back for more.

It’s taken us 3 visits, but we have finally figured this place out… I think. Service has always been friendly. The waitresses have always been prompt and are willing to answer questions. But the drinks(beyond beer) can be hit or miss. My husband tried a few options before settling in with a Manhattan he liked. My margarita was just OK. The food is obviously freshly made. I’ve had an excellent Cuban sandwich and bacon wrapped dates. The nachos were OK and my husband’s fish and chips were greasy. But we keep coming back here… There’s something charming about the vibe: half dive bar, half family café. It’s definitely a step up from a chain restaurant, and we will definitely be back.

Food was not good. Salad looked as if it was from a bag that should have been used last week. Chicken sandwich was edible, but the avocados were in the same condition as the salad. At least it didn’t cost much.

My husband and I have only been here a handful of times, mostly because it’s not a convenient location for us. They have a decent drink selection for being such a small place, and the food we’ve had in the past has been tasty, and although we liked it well enough, it doesn’t stand out as somewhere to go out of the way for, but is more of a «we happen to be in the area, let’s stop in» option. That’s what happened tonight, when my husband was running an errand near the ABQ Brew Pub, and asked me if I wanted to meet him there for dinner tonight after I got off of work, so I said sure. I had had a fairly large lunch, and wasn’t really in the mood for a burger or anything too heavy, but still wanted something filling, so I opted for the Ceasar salad and added the tuna. The Ceasar salad alone was $ 8.00 and it was an extra $ 5.00 for the tuna, so for $ 13.00 total I was expecting it to be a pretty substantial meal. When it was set down in front of me, I was surprised to see that there were only six small, thin slivers of tuna sitting on top of a pile of lettuce. I even looked to see if there was more tuna hiding underneath the lettuce, but nope. That was it. The size of the salad wasn’t tiny, but it certainly wasn’t worth $ 13.00. Also, when asked how I wanted the tuna cooked, I asked for it to be prepared medium, and it came out seared medium rare. I don’t mind rare tuna though, so I didn’t make a fuss. I was a little afraid that if they took it back to recook the tuna, it might come back with even less tuna than before. My husband had the green chile cheeseburger, which was around $ 8.00 and served with fries, so not a terrible price. He said the burger was good, but nothing that really stood out. After I finished my salad, I was still pretty hungry and considering getting something else, like a dessert or appetizer, even though I didn’t really want to spend more money after ordering a $ 13.00 salad that didn’t even half fill me up, but our server asked if we were ready for our check without asking if we would like anything else first. Now, I could have easily said, «Not yet, I would like to order something else», but I was really put off by the way he said it. He could have said, «Can I get you two anything else, or are you ready for your check?», but instead he just abruptly asked, «Are you ready for the check?», and the way he said it sounded like he was trying to get us out of there in a hurry. It was only a little after 6:00pm, so nowhere near closing time, and I didn’t notice any other patrons waiting to be seated, so I don’t understand why they would be in such a hurry to get rid of us. Anyway, I decided not to order anything else, and just fixed myself something once I got home. In the future, we might stop in for a drink or a snack the next time we’re in the area, but this definitely won’t be a go to choice for a full meal.

Haven’t been here for a year and a half and nothing has changed. You can’t go wrong with the beer. We ordered the fried zucchini and they were awesome! The quesadilla was solid; nothing special about it but it was good. My southwest burger was well done when I ordered medium(not the first time that’s happened) but it was still pretty good. The atmosphere is awesome and if they were to put a little more effort into their food this place would be rockin.

Stopped into ABQ Brew Pub for a beer, some wings, and football on a Sunday afternoon. The waitstaff was dismissive and rude. Their menu includes an entire page boasting about how they are more than your typical dive bar food/beer. Yet, our order of wings was one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen. I know that chickens don’t fly, but a good round of buffalo wings should suggest that their musculature could do so. These were the boniest(is that a word?) chicken wings I’ve ever seen. To boot, it was clear that they had been microwaved(they came out in minutes), dunked in mediocre sauce, and arrived at our table mushy and luke-warm. Although I appreciated the house beer selections, the server made it seem like an inconvenience to talk about the beer options. If you’re going to brew your own, take pride in it and talk to your customers.

Stopped in here for a beer while I waited for a meeting to start down the road. There was a large group in the corner and a couple of traveling salesmen at the bar. I sat at the bar and was given the menus. The bartender seemed to be dressed in workout attire, don’t know if that is the theme as I noticed other employees dressed similarly. I ordered the Imperial Stout, great option from Sierra Blanca, and asked to keep the food menu so I could review it bit. She took both menus and when I asked for a food menu again, she gave me a dirty look. She then proceeded to go back to eating her peanut butter from ta jar in the bar area. Maybe because I am not a regular or because I was alone, I was treated poorly, whatever the case, it will take me a while to give this place another go. The beer is priced well and the location is nice, there just needs to be an attitude adjustment with the staff.

We love going to the Brew pub on Tuesdays for happy hour and the Green chile Cheeseburger. Its absolutely delicious. Steak salad and fish and chips are also good if you don’t feel like having a burger. Make sure you try the cranberry bread pudding. It is among the best deserts I have ever had.

The food here is always awesome, the green beans are my favorite. But the server with the tattoo sleeves has screwed up my order the past 3 times I’ve been here. This time I ordered the brew master burger with mushrooms, cheddar and green chili with no lettuce tomato or onions. Just like the past two times I’ve been here the burger came with lettuce tomato and onions. He also screwed up my moms wine order and blamed it on the bartender, along with 2 other people sitting at tables near us. Imagine how much that happens if its happened to me 3 times consecutively? He makes my experience here frustrating and unpleasant. If you’re too retarded to remember somebody’s order then you probably should either get another job or write it down.

I must admit, I get a hankering for some green chile cerveza every once in a while, and this place knows how to do it up. Best green chile beer I’ve ever had. Perfectly balanced.

Best kept secret for a great get away for lunch. Food is very consistent. Always yummy food. They have an awesome table that holds at least twelve people. Great for a big group. The wait staff is super friendly. Service is always fast.

We had high hopes for this place. My husband was excited to try their brews. He ordered a flight. Most of them tasted like turpentine. He landed up ordering a margarita. We arrived at about 4pm on Friday and it was not busy, but service was slow. On a positive note, their signature burger was pretty good. Appetizers — fried cheese wedges and mushrooms– were good. Overall, I don’t expect to be back any time soon. We left and tried the sports bar next door(same owners — I’m guessing since they serve many of the same food items). The atmosphere, service, and drinks were much better

I had a very good grilled chicken breast sandwich & amazingly tasty sweet potato fries in massive portions. It would be enough for two small’ish people. The sandwich had a lot of veggie matter in it: salad greens under the grilled breast & cheese and avacado slices on top, which is a good thing to me. I’d ordered the sandwich without the onion & they withheld it as ordered. Sierra Blanca Nut Brown Ale was very tasty. To me it was like a lighter version of their milk stout, having the same strongly roasted finish in a less robust bodied drink. It went well to wash down the grilled sandwich. Waitress was a little cool & distant at first, but warmed as we got the meal underway, ending on a pleasantly friendly note. I was in at 11:30 on a Sunday morning and had the place to myself for much of my visit. They had upbeat music on the overhead speakers at a level that allowed easy conversation without shouting. Very pleasant atmoshere for a leisurely visit. Price is perhaps a little high for ABQ as a whole, but about what you’d expect for Uptown and not bad considering the quality and, especially, the portion sizes of the food. I’ll be back, which perhaps says it best.

We had lunch today at ABQ brew pub mainly because we had a coupon in our entertainment book so we figured we would give them a try. I read the reviews before hand and realized they are pretty hit or miss but we decided it was worth checking this place out. Upon entering we thought it was a nice little place, there was only a couple of other people in there so it wasn’t overly busy. Both my husband and myself had looked at the menu on there website prior to arriving at the restaurant and had both already decided to try out there award winning Chile burger, when the burger came out my first thought was it is big, but after taking my first bite my feelings turned to the stale taste. The bacon tasted like it was cooked hours previously and then warmed up it was hard and the green chiles were soggy tasting from the batter, the fries tasted old and warmed up as well and they weren’t even«hot» more like a warm heat like they had been sat around for a while. Neither of us were very impressed with the food at all and the only reason why I have given them 2 stars is because the service was ok and the food was meh but edible we won’t be returning though.

Excellent food and brew. Service was a little slow for how few people were in there… but the famous burger was excellent and so were the wings. Extra dipping sauce was free.

Visiting from Phoenix and went here with an couple friends. We had one beer each and moved on. There is nothing remarkable about the food or beer here, just another local brew pub trying to make a buck off mediocre beers. I had the nut brown ale, and tasted the amber and the lager. The nut brown stood out the most to me. It had the most complex flavor. The others were like they were pulled from the same tasteless recipe book so many local brew places use. Service was good at the bar, but it was a weekday and the place was slow. Ordered a plate of hot wings, 6 on the plate, ate 4. They were not cooked to a nice crisp and they had barely been sauced. My guess, they are just pouring Frank’s Red Hot sauce on them. Again, nothing setting this place a part from all the other brew pubs popping up all over place. Won’t return.

Co-workers and I went for lunch. If you’re hungry on a Tuesday or Thursday, go for the lunch special. $ 5 burger and ½ beer. I spent a total $ 7.60 for a 1⁄3 pound burger, salad(or fries) and a Monk’s Ale. This is the best priced lunch in town. The burger was quality and perfectly cooked(medium-rare). The salad was really fresh with a lime-something salad dressing. The beer was delicious, which I already knew. It all tastes much better with that price. The waitress was spot on, and then some. The TV’s had ESPN and the atmosphere was very clean.

This place has local brews which they make onsite, so I was automatically a fan. I came here after work with a few co-workers. We sat out on their patio because it was so gorgeous out which was nice. Our waitress was nice and checked on us a lot. I went with their Alien Wheat beer which was refreshing and tasty. We ordered their mango chipotle wings and bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers to share. They were both pretty good, but the wings were pretty sweet, but not in a BBQ sweet kind of way. This is definitely a great place to get some local beer and enjoy the nice Albuquerque weather.

I needed a late night place to eat & checked Unilocal for nearby restaurants when I found the ABQ Brew Pub. The reviews weren’t great but I thought, «how bad could it be?» It really could be that bad. I arrived at 9:40& took a seat at the bar. The bartender handed me a drink and food menu and then 5 minutes later told me they were on their late night menu and took away the full menu. On the late night menu card it said it was valid at 10pm. As a former server, I totally understand wanting to shut the kitchen down early on a weeknight and going home, & how much it sucks when people come in late(remember that scene in ‘Waiting?’ Totally accurate) I didn’t make a deal of it, just ordered off the limited late night menu. The house salad was a great portion size & the Chipotle Lime vinegarette was different & tasty. Then my meal came out and the fries were cold and hard, as if they’d been sitting for hours. I’m not too picky, but I had to send them back. I got new fries but even then they didn’t taste fresh. It was such a disappointment and a lesson to listen to the reviews! The bartender was really nice though and I think the only server in the restaurant. It wasn’t her fault but such a bummer overall. I would not go back.
