Very good wings and enjoyed some nice live music the night we went. Place was pretty crowded and everyone was enjoying it. I was overall pleased with the spot and would return!

Had a fantastic dinner with my girlfriend a few months back. Everything I ate was amazing. The tuna tar tar was fantastic! Only problem was i needed more of the crunchy tortilla to enjoy it. it came with a handful which seemed to be enough at first but soon proved to be an issue. Girlfriends kale salad was underwhelming… mostly because it was kale. worth a shot though, but for us kale doesn’t really do it. then i had the bourbon pork chop with mac’n’cheese as a side. both were amazing… like really amazing. i still think about the mac’n’cheese and fade out of conversations. girlfriends chicken was very nice. nothing crazy but very nice. the nutella crêpe was a pleasant finish to the meal as well. organic brown sugar old fashion made me glad she was driving but her french martini was excellent as well. Will go back for sure.

Truly can’t understand the good reviews this restaurant gets. Ordered burgers. Not cooked to order, bland tasting. Overpriced. The staff runs around so nervous that’s it’s extremely uncomfortable. Won’t be back.

Had a private party here for lunch on a Saturday and everything was perfect! Food was delicious, service was great, atmosphere was relaxing. Would definitely recommend and would definitely use them for a private party again.

I love a restaurant who’s menu changes seasonally. The food is always consistent(tuna tartare is always great) and I love the«small plates» option they offer which allows the diner to taste a little bit of everything. Try and enjoy any of their specials, and expect to see owner and chef Mitch mingling with the patrons. All in all a great experience!

We arrived early for reservation and were warmly greeted by the hostess. While waiting for our table, we had a drink at the bar. The bartender, Eric was very friendly and made a great espresso martini, he also gave us great food recommendations. Our table was snuggled in a corner creating a romantic setting. Our server Tony was super attentive & friendly. We started with the Kobe beef sliders which were perfectly cook and delicious, we also had the pumpkin ravioli. I would definitely order the sliders again! For our entrees, we ordered the hake and bacon wrapped monk fish, again, they were perfectly cooked and tasty. For dessert, we chose the S’mores brownie which was perfect size to share. I can’t wait to go back!!!

I love the ambiance. Our waiter Tony is awesome. But as I sit here munching on what I ordered I am sad that it lacks that little oomf that would make this meal better thank just mediocre. We got the lamb chops, they are tough to chew through(the ones I get at stop and shop are WAY more tender), the Caesar salad(awesome, get it!). Both the seafood ceviche special and the tuna tartare were pure blandness. And last but not least, the Mac and cheese — it’s good. How can you f*ck up Mac and cheese? Anyway, I had really high hopes for this place but I am sorely disappointed. It’s a place to try if you just want to have a meal, but it’s nothing to blow your socks off. Eater, you have been warned!

I was really impressed by this place. I ordered the mushroom soup and the pumpkin ravioli — both wowed me over. For desert I had the s’mores brownie thing and I left in a full on sugar coma. My parents and I agree, to this place, we must return!

On Tuesday nights, Mitch and Toni’s holds burger night where they serve several specialty burgers that are not offered on their regular menu. This past Wednesday, my friend and I decided to split the Truffled Mushroom Burger with sweet potato fries and the Brisket Burger with regular fries. The burgers were enormous. I somehow managed to eat almost ½ of each burger. The truffled mushroom burger was served with Swiss cheese, wild mushrooms, and truffled aioli. Truffle anything-count me in. The brisket burger was served with bbq bristket, fried onions, and cheddar. Can’t say which one was better-they were both good in different ways. The burgers were not cheap though-$ 16 and $ 17, respectively. My friend and I split the s’mores(a brownie topped with a graham cracker, homemade marshmallow, and a side of cinnamon ice cream). Pretty darn good! At a quick glance of the regular menu, I don’t know if I would return for anything but burgers. Everything else is even more expensive.

OMG! I live just a few blocks away and did not realize what a fantastic place to eat I had nearby! I’ve driven by the restaurant many times and it never caught my attention until recently. Today, I decided to give it a try. I’ll give almost any place a try. Let me tell you what happened next… I was totally blown away by how great the food is. When you have great food together with friendly service and a comfortable and chic ambience, it doesn’t get better. This restaurant had a great menu. It’s a nice mix of traditional homestyle with nouveau American fare. I can see foodies really loving this place… I know I do. I will DEFINITELY be back… many many times.

Went there for the first time last night and we enjoyed dinner very much. The Caesar salad with fried calamari and the onion soup were great appetizers. The hamburger and grilled salmon were delicious, although my baked potato looked and tasted weird.(How can a baked potato be awful?) The French fries that came with the hamburger were among the best ever. The only thing we really didn’t like was that the hostess brought the bill on an iPad, which was seemingly very cool. However, we had no time at all to see if the check was correct. Moreover, the e-mailed receipt included only the total – nothing itemized that we could see. Every online retailer manages to send a receipt with every detail of the order on it. It’s fine to gush, «We’re paperless.» But they also should have the technology in place to send diners a complete receipt, too.

I’m giving Mitch and Toni’s 5 stars(aka Unilocal’s «Woohoo! As good as it gets!») because they really did a bang-up job for brunch today. Brunch is tricky. No one really likes paying for brunch, because, let’s face it: eggs are eggs whether you pay $ 20 something at brunch or you pay $ 5 at your local diner. But people do like to go out and have a nice Sunday morning drinking mimosas with their friends, and everyone likes getting their money’s worth. Mitch and Toni’s performs the balancing act of brunch perfectly. For $ 24.99, you get one«brunch cocktail»(either a mimosa or a Bloody Mary) and your choice of about ten entrees. You also get a bread basket of mini bagels and danish, coffee, and soda. The entrees were nicely proportioned. I got the steak(cooked rare) and eggs which also came with hash browns and my friend(I think) got their omelet with hash browns. It was all tasty and well made. Service was impeccable. Our waiter couldn’t have been nicer or just-the-right-amount of attentive. Water was refilled often. Mitch and Toni’s also wasn’t out-the-door crowded for brunch; so many places are, and my friend and I had tried to make reservations at about four other places(about a week in advance!), and each time we were told that those restaurants were booked. We were able to take our time at Mitch and Toni’s and made to feel welcome to do so. They had larger parties and some smaller parties in addition to us but it wasn’t the hectic, frantic, crazy brunch scene that is present at so many restaurants on a Sunday mid-morning. I really appreciated that, and I would choose MItch and Toni’s again over other restaurants because of it.

We’ve eaten at Mitch & Toni’s on several occasions and they ‘wow’ us every time. We started with a fun rounds of drinks including a blood-orange margarita and a jalapeño margarita. We kept it light for appetizers and had the felafel. What a treat… they were perfect! The entrée selection offered a wide variety of choices pleasing to all palates. Our group had the pistachio crusted rack of lamb, grilled mahi mahi, the tuna special with three delicious dipping sauces and scrumptious BBQ beef short ribs. Even though we were kind of full, we couldn’t resist dessert… the s’mores and dark chocolate semi-fredo were the perfect end to our wonderful meal. The staff are warm and friendly, and happy to accommodate you in any way they can.

Admiration it is, but true love it’s not. Me and my better 3⁄5 made reservations for Mitch and Toni’s for a Thursday evening around 7PM. We arrived at the appointed time and were seated in one of tables in the far corner. Our server Tony(not the namesake) was very cool and helpful, although it seemed like he was taking care of the whole restaurant. We decided upon the mini falafels and mini fish tacos for starters. The falafels were very good. Something however went awry with the fish tacos. Well, the slaw and dressing was missing something; perhaps too sweet, too little acid, a little too fishy even for fish tacos. Anyway, not what I’m expecting when I order a fish taco. I decided upon the pumpkin balsalmic browned butter ravioli, which was very good; right amount creamy, right amount savory. My husband had the flat iron steak with parsnip purée in a red wine sauce. Also, very good. We swore off dessert because we were stuffed, even though our neighbors at the next booth had the gooey chocolate cookies(two) with shot glasses of milk which looked amazing. Nothing I couldn’t make for $ 9 though! Wow, that’s a pricey chocolate chip cookie. I was a little taken back that they put on an automatic gratuity because we were using a Living Social promo. C’mon that’s tacky. I tip better than that. You ended up getting shorted because of your automatic gratuity policy. Thanks M&T.

Thanks to the several reminders from my wonderful friend Amy who knows Mitch, I finally made it to Mitch and Toni’s last night and boy was it fantastic. And by the way, Tuesday night is $ 10BURGERNIGHT!!! They used to manage/own Bistro M in Glen Head(which I thought was the best hidden gem on LI) it’s now closed down and transitioned to Mitch and Toni’s. Here’s what took place: Location/Bar: + Heidi the bartender was absolutely awesome. She was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and a pleasure to hang with while I was waiting for my dining guest. + The bar is relatively large for a restaurant of this size and they use the space very well. The restaurant was quite busy for a Tuesday night(which is good to see) and she managed the load well from me and the patrons along with keeping up with conversation. + They serve hard thick pretzels and a VERY strong/horse radishy mustard at the bar to snack on and mannnn… I loved the mustard!!! Talk about a KICK!!! Food: + Spicy-crunchy Tuna Tartare. Spicy chili sauce, cucumber, radish, seaweed salad and crispy tortillas. This was prepared exactly the same way it was at Bistro M so I knew what to expect and damn was it good. Probably some of the best Tuna Tartare I’ve had in a LONG time. It came served on a bed of cucumber slices and a few crunchy chips on the side. + 10oz burger. It was done perfectly RARE with sautéed onions, avocados, and cheddar served with beans on the side and ketchup in a ramekin. I did it bunless to save the carbs but man did they cook this burger perfectly to RARE. NICEJOB! + Trio of Sorbets. Chocolate, coconut and pear. The pear sorbet was by far 1 of the best sorbets I’ve ever had and paired with the coconut made for a fantastic combination. I need to get this pear sorbet that they had. ORDER it and get the pear!!! + Apple pie though it wasn’t apple pie. Service: + You’ll have a few folks serving you at your table and the service was perfect and efficient. Toni also ensures that everything is fluid, comfortable and friendly… props to her for recognizing me from my Bistro M days and treating us quite well(in conjunction with the staff) In summary? I can’t wait to go back to Mitch and Toni’s as I thoroughly enjoyed our fabulous dinner! Props to the fact that the menu on the website accurately reflects what’s offered at the restaurant currently!!! THIS has been a review by Gaurav

I was in the neighborhood doing some shopping. One of the shop managers recommended stopping by Mitch, and Toni’s. I called ahead, made a reservation, and asked if they called corkage. We go there at 730, and the place was hopping. We ere seated promptly, and started off with 5 appetizers for the table. The food was all great, but the wait staff were inexperienced, and took a long time to get all of our orders right. Try the –Brisket Sliders –Tuna Tartar — The scallops are great — Halibut The waitstaff brought the rating down to 3 stars, but the fact they did not charge Corkage(on two bottles) brought the rating to 5. Ill be going back next time i am in the area.

I didn’t make a reservation and showed up with my wife around 8pm on a recent Thursday and it was pretty busy — we were seated immediately though. I’m not really sure how to characterize the menu, but I suppose modern american is probably the closest. We started with the Asian Wings and the Rock Shrimp Tacos. I must say, both were pretty uninspiring. There were 6 tiny, and I mean from a small chicken, wings. No drumettes, no wing tips, just the radius and ulna. The flavor was fine — there was some seame, soy, sweet and salty combination, but not for $ 13. Your local bar or any wing chain makes them better for way less money. The rock shimp tacos, which were recommended by the server, were soggy, both on the inside and outside. I’d pass on both. As for the entrees, I went for the salmon and my wife had the corn and crab ravioli appetizer. The salmon, which is billed as organic was cooked perfectly. It was a Mediterranean preparation, sitting atop some quinoa, and a ratatouille with olives that was another nice sweet and salty combination. I splurged for a side of asparagus, which appeared to be steamed — they were peeled and gave off a strange pale green color. They tasted good despite their ugliness. The corn and crab ravioli was very tasty also, very rich and sweet — everything you’d want in that kind of pasta. We passed on dessert. This resto is not cheap. My wife ordered one glass of wine and had an appetizer as her entrée and the bill was $ 97(with gratuity). Our server was attentive and friendly, but recommended a dish that was awful imho. It’s a 2.5 star performance for me, but due to the quality of our entrees, I’ll round up. I’m not sure I would head back so quickly though.
