don’t waste your money staying there. its the worst dirty filthy hotel I have ever been to. I checked in on 2−6−16. I found the room nasty. the carpets had not been vacuimed in a long time. the walls were completely stained with unidentifiable stains. the bedding was stained. so they don’t change the sheets. the bathroom had urine stains on the floor. the toilet bowl was black. there was no towels — toilet paper– soap or shampoo. I went to the front desk to request a refund. they told me they would. the girl at the desk said they have had several management changes in the past year and they are aware of the problems and there working on it. then on 2−9−16 I cheked my credit card balance to see if the money had been refunded. to my surprise I found I had been double charged. I called the hotel again to find out why they didnt reverse the charge and why I was double charged. I was told I wasn’t. then I asked to speak to the general manager. I was told he isn’t on site. I asked when will he be on site. they told me they did not know when. then I asked if I could leave a voice mail for him they told né he does not have voice mail. I asked for a phone number for him. they refused to give it to me. I was given an email address. I emailed him but did not get any reponse back. this place does not care about its customers.

This hotel gets one star. For the people that work there. That’s it. Most specifically Carrie. Who was amazing in helping me navigating checking out and canceling 12 room reservations for my entire family in town for my great aunts 95th bday. The only person that was not nice that I dealt with told me that my expectation of clean was more than I should expect from her self described«one star hotel». Carrie is the only reason I didn’t call the health department. The hotel is filthy. Enough said.

Stayed here in April. Best weekly rates value wise. Had the overwhelming feeling to not leave valuables in the room. Out of town contractors and light hooker traffic made for a less than ideal crowd. But it was stay here or pay $ 130 a night 2 blocks away. Might want to sleep with your 9 on the night stand.

I write to you this evening from the mysteriously damp computer chair in my hotel room of the Americas best. As far as I can tell however that is the cleanest part of the room regardless of whatever body fluid someone has donated to it. We can start from the beginning. After my somewhat of a road trip which consisted of no restroom breaks I had to take of some business(for lack of better terms). Now the toilets here aren’t exactly what some might call«reliable» but will get the job done in a pinch. Be prepared for multiple flushes. We can now move on to the outlets. After several failed attempts(5 attempts) to find an outlet to charge my phone I eventually had to abandon ship and slowly sink into the Stone Age. Not before firing up my trusty Unilocal app to write this rather warm and inviting review. Onward to the magical adventure which is the beds. Now don’t expect too much despite what the name might have you believe. These are not the best beds you will find. Ship straight from what I’m sure is the prison Kim Jong Un keeps his prisoners overnight in before having them executed they lack in the comfort field. Mine was broken on one side and came free with the musty smell of a trucker who had just finished fornicating with someone who had just been paid. The pillows were different but I’m sure that’s just what makes them special. They were what appeared to be donated by the local homeless community and were in definite need of some TLC. They as well came with the generous scent of man stank that may or may not have been transferred from the mattress into the pillows. I could go on about how the TV was place gently on top of the Entertainment cabinet leaving several wires exposed and the cable boxed dangling in the air but that really only would matter if the TV worked(spoiler alert: it doesn’t). We haven’t tried the shower and quite honestly I’m a little afraid. If you’re looking for a «cheap» room then look the other way.

Good service. Decent burgers. I’d go back.

Oops, take a pass… Ants, outlet not working, loose outlet with no cover, ceiling leaked during storm and sub par breakfast

If you’re passing through Albert Lea, MN off I-35 and your strictly looking for a room to sleep, then this is the place for the moderate price. I found the room to be spacious and clean. If you’re looking for extras like fine dining and entertainment then move on down the road. However there is a «bar» and a restaurant attached but I found the food to be just okay and the sports Bar atmosphere may just be your thing. This is the only hotel/motel that I’ve ever stayed in that had an attached bowling alley. So if you’re into beer and bowling your love this place. Oh yea… it even has an indoor pool. I heard a few complaints from other guest, that the rooms were not very warm. Mine was warm and toasty. i was shocked that they could warm anything in this sub zero terrain weather. It was about –8°F when I checked in with a windchill factor of –30°. If you’re from Minnesota Wisconsin or Iowa, then this is no big deal. But I’m from Florida and I was surprised that anything worked at that temperature. I’d stay there again if I was passing through, hopefully in the summer!
