I have had Tina’s food several time at local poker game that she sometimes caters. Every dish is great and I especially enjoyed the salad, meatloft, and scalloped potatoes.

Food is hit or miss. Be prepared to wait a while. Two times is enough for me to know I won’t be back. I work down the road from Tina’s and only get a half hour for lunch, so I like to go somewhere quick if I don’t pack something. The first time I went to Tina’s, I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap. I called around 11:40. The woman on the phone said it might be a while because they were short staffed. Okay, no problem, it happens sometimes. She told me it would be about 15 minutes, so at noon I headed over. First impressions: Wow, this is place is small. There are a handful of tables that only seat two, and it’s cramped. The counter is very close to the door, so when people come in and there’s already a line, it gets crowded quickly. But I’m just here to pick up, so that stuff doesn’t really bother me. I tell them my name and what I ordered, and they said it would be a few minutes. Okay, no problem, it’s 12:10, I still have twenty minutes. Well, I didn’t get my food until 12:25, so I had literally five minutes to eat and drive back to work. Not possible. To top it off, the wrap was terrible. Poor quality chicken, super soggy, just disappointing. Well a month or two later, I didn’t pack a lunch and decided to give it another try. I called at 11:45, ordering the soup of the day and a BLT(with extra crispy bacon, please). Again, the woman on the phone said they were short staffed, but they’d do their best. So I tried to give them more time and arrived to pick it up at 12:20. I didn’t get my food until 12:45, which was the soup that was ALREADYPREPARED, and a simple BLT sandwich. To top it off, my sandwich was soggy. If you like waiting an a ridiculous amount of time for soggy food, this is your place! The only praise I can give is their soups are excellent.

This place used to be known as Hink’s Café, but there was a change in ownership, and thus in name. Sandwiches are served with a bag of chips and a pickle, for about $ 6.00-$ 7.00. The daily lunch special also includes a cookie, for about the same price. The menu is varied, including salads and a soup or two of the day. There are also breakfast items, including a daily special. Other places charge upwards of $ 3.00-$ 4.00MORE for the same thing you’d get at Tina’s, however the quality of the food at Tina’s is better. So, for better food at a better value, go to Tina’s Corner Café. * I am not an employee of the establishment. I used to work nearby(within walking distance) and miss their food, now that I work about a 10 minute drive away.
