I was in the area and stopped by this place for a cheap lunch. I had the Bangkok Crêpe based off recommendations from fellow Unilocalers. It was a large portion, but I was super hungry and finished the entire thing, including the salad. The salad was very basic. Leafy with shreds of carrot on top. It came already lightly dressed with olive oil and a touch of lemon juice(I think). There wasn’t much to the salad, but it’s good to eat with my semi-heavy crêpe. I thought having thai food inside a crêpe would be weird. and I was right. I probably wouldn’t order it again. The filling was good on its own, but put inside a crêpe just didn’t fit right. The filling was delicious. a tad spicy. a tad saucy. The peanut sauce is really good, but you’ll only get patches of it. Some bites will be sauced well, some bites none at all. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t for me. Next time I’m definitely not going to get something Asian. I think being Asian has something to do with not liking it. I’d definitely be a regular if I lived in this area. Parking is street, but it’s still relatively easy to find. I recommend anyone else to try this place. You won’t regret it!

This my go-to restaurant for crepes in the East Bay! I’ve been wanting to come back to Suzette Crêpe Café since I first came here 2 weeks ago. Of course, I HAD to order the Saint Malo(French style crêpe with ham, Swiss cheese & sunny side up egg). So delicious! The perfect crêpe!

I have had this place bookmarked at least 2 ½ years and lunch today w/Mary made me regret that it took me so long to get here. The place is on the small side, one storefront wide, painted in warm earth tones and impeccably clean. There are lines of tables on each side of the restaurant and a counter w/a couple of stools in the eastern front window. You order at the counter from the menu board on the back wall. You can see the crepes being made behind the counter. They have a lunch special for $ 9 or $ 10 that includes a crêpe, salad and beverage, coffee, tea or a soda, I think. Mary ordered a Bangkok crêpe, w/grilled chicken, red cabbage, carrots, cilantro, scallions, bell pepper and peanut sauce. I ordered the Berkeley crêpe, which contained eggplant, mushrooms, spinach, pesto and goat cheese, some of my favorite things. We both had tea. The fixings for the tea or coffee are in the western front window. The salads were brought to us in good size bowls, a mixture of lettuces dressed in a lovely, light dressing that seemed to be simply olive oil and lemon juice. There may have been other vegetables than lettuce in the salad. I was distracted by our conversation and don’t remember. Tea was brought to us in large cups w/saucers. Last the crepes were brought to us. Mary’s first impression was of spice, but said that mellowed out as she ate it. She loved it and we agreed not only to add Suzette to our lunch rotation, but to return next time we meet. My crêpe was everything I wanted it to be. I’m not sure that I will wander too far afield from it trying other crepes, I liked it so much. The dessert crepes were also tempting, though we didn’t have one. They have Nutella and a variety of others, including French lemon, which we both like, so maybe next time we’ll split one. I also plan to introduce Alan to Suzette.

Great crepes! The place was not packed either which is a plus. I’d go back next time I’m in the area.

My boyfriend and I came here on saturday(aug.22) for breakfast. I will be honest, it was a little overwhelming on what to choose because everything sounded so good! My boyfriend got the nutterbutter one with apples instead of bananas and I got the Rasberry crêpe. Both were really good, but toward finishing it, the flavors got overwhelming. The cappuccino and coffee wasn’t the best so i took ½ star off and they do not tell you for the gluten free buckwheat crêpe is a $ 1.25 anywhere on the menu, so i took another half star off for that as well because it should warn it costs extra

A really good crêpe stand with delicious food, a large selection, and cozy ambiance. Mimicking a French stand, this small business owned by Cambodians(proud to support my people!) serves quality crepes in an enjoyable environment at a fair price. I came in on a weekend and had the Bangkok Crêpe, and even though I was famished I almost couldn’t finish the meal! A savory crêpe is definitely large enough to feed two people. The crêpe was very well cooked, with a good texture and not too sweet or doughey. Perfect amount of crispiness. There was plenty of chicken and spice inside, balancing well with the simple side salad they provided. I was pleasantly surprised at the quantity, which matches the quality of the product as well. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here. I liked how you could watch the crêpe being made, and the service here is good. I didn’t get a drink but they have lots of coffee and juice options, so this would be an ideal place to study as well and get work done or have a meeting. A good deal for crepes in the East Bay!

My favorite crêpe place! The ppl working are always friendly and keep the place really clean. They have gluten free option for my gluten free friends, who have said that it is very good. I come here often, and have a few favorites. I usually get the woohoo special with regular crêpe, the Bangkok, or the Los Angeles. The ingredients are always really fresh, and the crêpe is perfectly cooked. I’ve been coming here since they opened and would definitely recommend that everybody try it when they’re in the area.

I loved the food so much it was overwhelming, the best single gluten– free restaurant ever! Finding the Woo Hoo with a side salad of mixed leaves [and not anemic iceberg] and delicious sauce over tender chicken pieces, a lot of baby spinach and some cheese in a buckwheat crépe, I thought it was Nirvana for sure! Add Black Forest for desert: sour cherries with chocolate sauce that tasted like heaven, crépe made of buckwheat, of course, to be gluten-free. Though the place is way too noisy, especially for my friend with hearing aids, the charming décor and fabulous food with low prices made it my favorite all-time restaurant. Then, catastrophe. New cook. The Woo Hoo was utterly tasteless and had a leaf or two of baby spinach, no sauce that I could detect, none whatsoever, and the Black Forest dessert crépe was microscopically coated with a jelly, evidently, instead of the previous cherries themselves, though I glimpsed a piece of cherry the size of the typed small o’s on this page. No sauce, again, but a hair width thread of chocolate decorating the top. The whole thing was so disappointing I doubt if I can gear up to return. It was devastating to have delicious nutritious food plummet to disappointing shadows(literally and figuratively) of their former selves not at all worth the time, effort, nor price(at any price.)

TIME for food to be ready its way to long for simple order of crapes. Need more staff if can’t handle costumers. SERVICEANDATTITUDE of employees is bad specially the cashier way to RUDE to costumers. Food was good but service and timing it’s really bad. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you like really bad service.

I went to Suzette to meet up with a group of all things. It’s a quaint little restaurant run by a real friendly crew. The Mr. Espresso coffee is pre-made and comes from a steel carafe, but it’s still pretty fresh.

Stopped on for a quick lunch to go while working on a job site nearby. In and out in less than 10 minutes for less than $ 10! Had the Albany crêpe and it was delicious! Overall, a great experience…

Suzette is amazing. The staff is friendly and always give me a big smile when I come through the door. The food is great and they offer such a wide variety of options including their drink menu. They’ll make you almost any flavor italian soda, they have soft drinks, juices, and water. At the front counter they also have fresh pastries that I often by 2 or 3 of. Everything is clean, the bathroom is sparkling, the tables are wiped after every party is done, floors swept and mopped daily. I have never felt any other way besides happy when I walk into this restaurant.

I’m so happy that Suzette’s is alive and kicking. I’ve been here 6 or 7 times since my original review. I ate here recently using an old Unilocal coupon that still was worth its face vale of $ 20. Son got his usual – THEBANGKOK – Grilled Chicken, red cabbage, carrots, cilantro, scallions, bell pepper & peanut sauce I’ve been trying different crepes– This time I tried the WooHoo. It is one of the G F crepes but I ordered mine regular. It was made of swiss cheese, onions, spinach and mushrooms. It was very good but I’ll probably try out another crêpe. For dessert we shared the Campfire. It is made up of s’ mores ingredients. chocolate, marshmallows and crushed graham crackers. It reminds me of summer camp, outdoor BBQ ’ S and haphazard attempts to make s’ mores on top of the stove. The people are always friendly and welcoming.

What I ate: Assorted savory crepes. Visit date: July 6, 2014 First time? Yes. I’m semi-new to the Albany area so I’m trying out more new-to-me eateries. Suzette Crêpe Café had distributed $ 5 off coupons(which I then forgot to use on my visit!) so I was even more intrigued to try them out. On my visit, my friends and I each ordered different savory crepes. They came out one at a time, which, to me, is not good service etiquette. Once we all got our crepes, we were excited to try them, and then we were all pretty displeased. The one I ordered had cheese, spinach, and mushrooms — ingredients that I love — but the dish was bland. The crêpe itself, well, it held all the ingredients inside, at least. Would I come back? Maybe. But I’d definitely go with a sweet crêpe instead. You can’t go wrong with nutella and fruit. Oh, and if there is a next time, I’d use my coupon! Don’t forget your coupons, people!

Gluten-free crêpe batter as well as a buckwheat-wheat combo batter. Good variety of options for building your own savory or sweet crêpe, should you choose to do so. Crepes are good but not excellent quality. The flavor of the gluten free crêpe is neutral, so it depends on the ingredients as to how it will taste. Beverages include complimentary ice water, hot coffee/tea(caff & decaf), Snapple, Kearn’s fruit juices(can), Orangina, Martenelli’s apple cider & coconut water. Lovely servers, cute décor, pleasant ambiance. Glass storefront ensures natural light throughout. Minimal outdoor seating. Crepes are brought to your table. Good lunch/snack spot if you are in the area.

Cute little place on solano ave. It’s easy to miss so keep your eye out. Nothing like sophie’s crêpe in San Francisco, but when you’re craving a crêpe this place does satisfy. Service: The staff is usually pretty friendly. Never had a bad experience in terms if customer service. Food: I’ve only had their sweet crepes so my review is based on that. The crêpe itself is pretty good. It’s soft yet crispy. The add on are pretty standard. Ice cream. Fruit. Nutella. Pretty much anything you can think of. Overall: It’s a good solid place for crepes. Although they do serve other types of drinks like coffee or smoothies, I can only recommend the crepes. They are a little pricey for the quality.

Really great crepes. I had the florentine savory crêpe for breakfast. The crêpe itself was fluffy and light, and they make a very balanced foamy chai latte that I highly recommend. I can’t stress enough what a difference the crêpe batter makes– this place is a true gem. Service is great. I took out my iPad while trying to find something in the cavernous vacuum that is my bag, and the owner approached me and automatically presented the wifi password key. I thought that was amazing and thoughtful, even if I wasn’t intending on using it. Very proactive. The place is spotless and the condiment bar is always well stocked. They accept cards with a $ 5 minimum. Go!

Suzette Crêpe Café is undeniably good. This little joint should not be underestimated. Definitely my go to place for crepes in the area. You can have a meal here and walk away guilt free or give in to self indulgence. The place is neatly arranged, clean, and comfortable to dine in despite the questionable choices of décor(tan, orange, and yellow color palette with commercial print art of dogs, fruit, and hibiscus flowers). It’s just super versatile. Nice little brunch spot to catch up with your girlfriends or a family member, a cheap option for a casual date, or even a fairly sturdy to-go lunch for a work day. The crepes are obviously the reason to show up. They offer savory crepes made from a buckwheat and whole wheat batter as well as a gluten free option. My favorites are the Los Angeles, which is essentially a cobb salad in crêpe form, and the Berkeley, which includes spinach, eggplant, mushrooms, and goat cheese topped with pesto. You also have the option to choose your own ingredients and go wild. I’ve yet to sample more than two of the sweet crepes but both were well executed. Crepes Suzette is an easily botched dessert so I was pleased that they lived up to their namesake. The Five Little Monkeys crêpe was flavorful but definitely sweet to the max. Maple syrup and chocolate sauce ontop of bananas, whipped cream, and ice cream?! I had a big bite and left it at that. They have many kinds of Torani syrups for making Italian sodas, if you’re into that kind of thing. Their coffee offerings are also vast and highly recommended by my dining companions. I can’t vouch because I get beffuddled when scanning their broad selection and end up opting for water. Lame, I know. I’m looking forward to trying one of their ritzy beverages one of these days alongside that divine looking s’mores crêpe.
