We ordered from here relijously ever since I was in college. They now only cook burgers well done! They’ve also gotten rid of all of their paninis! I’m shredding their menu on principle. Guys I loved you but I’m breaking up with you. It’s over.

I ordered the blue garden salad, this salad is usually packed with craisins, blue cheese, and candied walnuts, on this particular afternoon none of the above was in the salad when i called pepperjacks the manager told me that I needed to stop these calls because this is a recurring problem. I said” i know” he hung up on me. I drive up there to show them my salad after i just had it delivered(i was at work) i then ask to speak with the owner, the owner slams 10.00 on the counter tells me that i am a liar i picked out the craisins, walnuts, and blue cheese crumbles. I stood there in disbelief, i mean who would go through those great lengths to get new salad or just the extra walnuts im so upset behind the whole scene that even the owner gave. He then told me he didnt want my business any longer. Funny thing is that i work in a busy salon with 5 other operators and we all ordered from here on a daily basis including our clients. So pepper jacks lost out big time, i wouldn’t recommend this place just because of thier poor customer. service.

The burrito bowl was good. Very good size for your money. Curly fries were semi cold/soggy on delivery but had good flavor. Also ordered a breakfast burrito for a quick breakfast the next day, the bacon was barely cooked. This seems to be a trend that I never have understood… I don’t know anyone who eats bacon half cooked/soggy/limp. If anything, I’d prefer over cooked just to be safe, especially for delivery. That being said, the food was solid and I would prefer from them again.

I was introduced to Pepper Jacks a while back while still in college by a friend of mine who attended St. Rose. While I don’t manage to make it physically that often, i do take advantage of their delivery after 3:00! I am a sucker for their buffalo chicken wraps as well as their cranberry turkey wrap :) I found my new favorite thing today while ordering(and while eating!!) lunch today. Sweet potato tots! And make sure to order a side of the raspberry sauce to dip them in! MMMM

I had been to place this often. I liked this place, however the quality of food it offers has been degrading. Also, it provides much smaller portion of food. I ordered $ 8 Chicken pesto panini(in the picture) for pick-up and this is what I got. I most definitely would not recommend this place to my friends.

I never actually been here, I always do delivery via the Unilocal app, it generally takes about 40 – 50 minutes for delivery(I live a little ways from them), and the food arrives warm. The ingredients are higher quality then most similar places, example: romaine lettuce on burgers instead of iceberg, etc.

Just ordered delivery from here today and they knew me by name. Big fan of the burgers and cheese steak sandwiches. Their specialty sandwiches are also good but I haven’t been able to try them all yet. Good price and good service. Have to say that the quality of their food has improved a lot since they move to their new location several years back.

Wonderful option for work lunch. I love that they deliver. When you’re day is not going so well they have some great comfort food options, like cheese fries and gigantic chocolate chip cookies. They’re also great for catering lunches, the wrap platters are always a big hit. I recommend the thanksgiving wrap. I also love their Aztec Chicken Salad!

Oh how I miss you dearly my dearest Pepper Jack’s. I don’t know how I haven’t reviewed you sooner! This place is such a great delivery and as I like to call it pop n squat dining location. You can tell it’s one of the best options for lunch in town or a late night bite to eat when all of the Albany PD goes there to grab a bite to eat. The vegetarian burger is my absolute favorite in all of the Capital Region. I hold everything they put on it normally and add my own favorites(this is why this place is so great, they aim to please!): cheddar cheese, dill pickles, onions & russian dressing. The boyfriend and his best friend crave their philly cheese steaks. The vegetarian quesodilla(I took french so pardon my spanish!) has the potential to sway meat eaters to the bright side.

Lots of options to choose from which is great if you’re with a big group of people who all want something different. I typically go for the buffalo chicken wrap which is a a good size and has a lot of chicken in it. The prices are a bit more expensive for a «fast food» place but I guess it’s okay since I’m not eating it every day. It’s also convenient that they deliver if you’re trying to have a lazy night at home and don’t want to drive anywhere.

My husband often eats here when he’s working, so I met him here to grab a quick dinner. The menu of wraps, burgers, salads, and philly sandwiches is pretty extensive. I had the Harvest Chicken Salad, which was good, while the hubs had a bacon burger with sweet potato tots. I think those tots are the main reason he comes here! If you’re nearby and need a fresh, quick, tasty meal, check this spot out!

The girls at the counter forget online orders and blame their servers, if they only knew about the email notifications for order confirmations, either way their food is good

Extremely friendly delivery service, direct to my hotel room. I ordered the Falafel Wrap, Cajun Sampler and a Garden Salad with 2 waters(enough to meet their delivery minimum), and everything was delivered within 30-minutes. The Falafel Wrap was pretty good, though I needed the extra Ranch that I ordered to add a little flavor. However, the ingredients were crisp and fresh. The Cajun Sampler was like any other that I’ve had before as far as Onion Rings, Buffalo Tenders, Jalepeno Poppers and Fries are concerned. Nothing out of this world, but not bad and hit the spot. I only wished the Buffalo Tenders had more sauce on them. The Cajun Fries were good, but at times had an odd taste to them, which may have been due to being mixed with the rest of the Sampler items and getting soggy. Overall, a decent choice to fill you up for a good price. Kind of wish I had ordered their homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies now though!

Pepper Jack’s of all trades — master of none. That statement pretty much sums up Pepper Jack’s. What they do they do fairly well, but none of it is outstanding. That’s ok. I doubt anyone comes here expecting an authentic Philly cheese steak, or a burger that will rival Five Guys. I ordered the classic Philly and it was tasty. The beef was well seasoned and the sandwich is a good size. I take issue with the cheese sauce though. I didn’t like that it was just poured on top. I’d like it integrated into the sandwich better. I tried the house made chips. Very crunchy with a cajun like seasoning. I also had some of my companion’s curly fries. Good, but typical of what you’d get anywhere. PJ’s is just blocks away from my home, and should the craving for a Philly cheese steak hit, I’d not hesitate to head over and grab one.

Sometimes the secret to enjoying a restaurant with a large menu is going with someone who loves the place and knows all of its strengths and weaknesses. I had been to Pepper Jack’s in the past for an egg and cheese sandwich and left entirely unimpressed. The bar for egg and cheese on a hard roll in this region is higher than one might expect, and without toasting or grilling the roll, this one failed to make the grade. But this latest visit I went with my friend who was able to guide me through the menu. Her highest recommendation was for the Buffalo chicken wrap. And while I love virtually everything«Buffalo chicken», I just can’t get behind wraps. I can’t. So that’s when our little dance began. Me: «What about the Buffalo chicken cheesesteak?» Her: «Nope. It’s a different kind of chicken.» Her: «The Buffalo chicken salad is pretty good.» Me: «I’m not in the mood for a salad, how about the burgers» Her: «The burger’s aren’t that special, but the cheesesteaks are great.» Me: «I can’t do cheese sauce.» Her: «My dad always gets the Deluxe Philly.» Me: «Done.» Really, what I probably wanted most of all was a Buffalo chicken quesadilla if they used the crispy chicken strips instead of the grilled chicken, but I wanted to taste their food and judge it on its own merits without any substitutions. The Deluxe Philly is a winning combinations of chopped steak, onions, mushrooms, bacon and swiss cheese. How can you lose? The answer is you can’t. It’s one tasty sandwich. But is it a great cheesesteak? Can it even live up to the claim on the menu that it’s an authentic Philly cheesesteak? I’m going to say no on both counts. This is four years of living in Philadelphia during my cheesesteak heavy college years talking. Mostly, the problem is in the bun. But I’m not here to pick nits. The sandwich is good. And I’m glad to know something decent to order should I ever end up back here. Although next time I may just try my hand at a special order to get the quesadilla of my dreams. Oh, and if you do get fries, get the cajun fries. Not because they are so great, but they are decidedly better than the rather bland standard issue fries. Also, it helps to go early, because at lunch time this place is hopping. I don’t really know why. Maybe because it has something for everyone? That will remain a mystery for now.

If you don’t know where to get a delicious Philly-style cheesesteak or other great sandwich in Albany, you don’t know(Pepper) Jack(‘s). I first visited Pepper Jack’s at its location on Western and Quail, but they’ve brought all of their delicious sandwiches, plus a larger eating area to their location on North Allen. As you walk in, there is a 25 foot long wall listing a variety of their sandwiches, but apparently the wall is not long enough for everything that can put between two pieces of bread(or roll) because there are a couple of categories available only by looking at the paper menus near the counter. In one recent visit, I got the deluxe Philly, which complements the thin-sliced sirloin with bacon, onions, mushrooms, and Swiss cheese. When the sandwich arrived, I thought it looked a bit small, until I picked it up and began to eat it, at which point I was pleasantly surprised with the abundance of meat and toppings. J, my partner in crime, life, and sandwiches, got the Double A panini, a Cuban-style sandwich with pretty good pulled pork, ham, swiss, and pickle chips. It’s a really great combination of flavors and textures and I recommend it highly. I ordered it for myself for delivery and was quite happy with it, except that, unlike the time we ordered it for eat-in, it did not come with their delicious kettle chips. The chips are quite good, so if you’re able to stick around and eat, be sure to do so. For a couple dollars more, you can also add a side like fries or salad and a drink to your sandwich. Also, they offer a number of salads and burrito bowls, so if you’re not feeling up to having a meal endorsed by Thomas Hallowell, the Earl of Sandwich, fret not. Finally, it’s worth pointing out that in addition to the bottled drinks behind the registers, they also have a soda fountain right around the corner, in case you’re eating in and would like to get your fill of fizzy sugar water.

Wow! Very disappointing. Haven’t stopped here in a while. Ordered Philly Cheese Supreme. No real flavor. You can’t taste the onions or peppers. It was a soggy flavorless mess. Reuben was good. Generic, but alright.

What I ordered: Turkey club wrap(minus the pickles). Nothing special about it all. It was just okay. Good service, okay food, good price.
