The manager really helped us out today when we didn’t know what was going on with our battery. Good guy! We will for sure come back to this location and tell our friends about it!

Way Above and Beyond on the Night Before Thanksgiving My brother and I were driving from San Francisco to Portland to go home for Thanksgiving when we lost the electrical system. Parked at a gas station at 7pm and it was about 36 degrees outside. The folks at O’Reilly were very helpful on the phone and they had a new alternator and serpentine belt in stock. Our dad drove down from Portland with his tool kit. But here’s the amazing thing: O’Reilly employee Roy, after his shift was over, the night before Thanksgiving(!), came by the gas station where we were parked and spent the next two hours helping us take out the old alternator, put in the new one, snake the serpentine belt on, and button everything back up. It was not an easy job with the tools we had, and it was cold out there. He had a great attitude, amazing bedside manner, and basically helped turn tragedy into triumph. Roy had the ability to look at a given bolt from 2 feet away and call out the metric size wrench we would need. At several points he was laying on his back under the car wrestling the serpentine belt around the various pulleys. On his own time, on the night before Thanksgiving! Long story short, we got the alternator in and the car drove smoothly all the way to Portland. This was hands down the most impressive customer service experience I’ve ever had. This dude Roy is going places. It was Man vs. Machine, and Roy won. I am now an O’Reilly Auto Parts guy for life. Matt
