I just received a 30 minute upper back, neck, shoulder massage by Sara, a new therapist at Marrakesh. It was wonderful! I explained how my work strains these muscles and she went right to work on them bringing me much needed relief. She is very pleasant and I enjoyed my experience.

Before I divulge in all the negativity of my experience with this salon, I would like to say that the final outcome of my bridal hair and my bridesmaid’s hair were very nice. However, the road to these updos was rather unpleasant and therefore I do not recommend them. 1. I showed up to the Salon two weeks before my wedding. I was told that I would get a free bridal run through. It all sounded great with the stylist that I had the consultation with, so I booked with Marrakesh. Later, I was told it would be $ 40. 2. When I sat down for my bridal run through, the first thing out of my stylists mouth was«you will be my very last Bride I ever do. I do not like to do bridal hair.» I was so uncomfortable from that moment on. I thought it was my job to save face for all the brides of the world. 3. My stylist told me to get extensions when I first met her. I did get extensions, but I got the wrong ones for the run through. She said that I needed to buy clips and sew them on. So I went out and bought clips and spent a few hours getting my clips on. She never used the extensions in my hair. What a waste of time and money. 4. I showed the girls at Marrakesh a picture of the manicure that I wanted with jewels at least 2 weeks before the wedding. They said that they could do that. I never got my jewels. The day of the wedding I again showed them the picture of the rhinestones I wanted on my ring fingers. They had one of the girls go out to Sally’s Beauty Supply to buy the rhinestones(they had none in salon). I even offered to text her the picture of the rhinestones. She said she didn’t need it. She was gone for nearly an hour. She came back with the rhinestones and left. The rhinestones were too big. I did not get to wear any on my nails for my wedding. I was so bummed out. 5. I got a gel manicure the day before the wedding with Marrakesh so that they would be the ones to put the rhinestones on the day of the wedding while I was getting my hair done. It lasted only four days. Also, during the manicure my nails were never soaked, only a swab of cotton was sprayed with some liquid to wipe off the a debris from the file. 6. I was told to have my second round of bridesmaids in the salon at 9:45am(the first at 9am). I was not informed that only 2 stylists would be working on me and my six bridesmaids. No one else would help them because they«don’t like to bridal hair». My girls were not seen until 11am. 7. I was told that the bridesmaid’s hair would be $ 40 each. When one of my girls went up to pay she was quoted the entire price of everyone’s hair including mine. She said it was this way because we were a group. How insane. She said she could only change it if she gave everyone their own customer ID. All of my girls are out of state. Whatever, just give us each an ID. That took forever to split up 7 ways! Then the price for each girl had increased by $ 15. I was already so upset because it was so late in the day I didn’t get to have the jewels on my nails so I was a bit snippy about us only paying $ 40. My girls were able to pay only $ 40 each, eventually.

I tan at Marrakesh and I love it there. It’s easy to get in and the staff is always friendly. They also carry great products. I have had a facial there and it was fantastic!

Meh, I came to this place because it’s right next to Anytime, so I could hit up the gym then get a haircut. It was a decent price for a haircut, but the quality was definitely reflected in the price. I asked for a simple trim, maybe get some volume in my hair and didn’t really get that. The woman cutting my hair made no attempt at conversation and seemed bored with life. I guess I would be too if I worked there, it was completely dead. What I dislike about this place the most is that I went home and was doing my hair, and found so many split ends! The whole point of getting my haircut was to get rid of those damned things! Argh!!!
