K1 Speed

Pros:
–fun, safe, & fast (go karts go 35 mph)
–very clean and professional
–located across from Crossgates mall
Cons:
–far too expensive (even with deals)
–the course could be a little larger
Overall it is fun once in a while but for the price I will not be going back regularly and eventually not go anymore at all.

K1 go kart was very fun. The staff was very friendly and the cars were fast and fun. It would be great if the track had a longer straightaway, this would make the car get up in speed. Hey, put me in a go kart and it will always be fun. ;-)

I bought the 3 race package. It took 1 hour between each race. Total disappointment. No one since to know what’s going on

So much fun! I went today and did 3 races. Staff was nice and the karts are very fast. I wish I was cheaper, but the 6 dollar license you buy is good all year at any location. That, plus 3 races came to $ 45. I kinda wish the track was bigger or at least had a big straightaway for maximum speed, but it’s still great for what it is.

Great fun to have with family and friends. K1 has the best karts and extremely professional about their service. Very good specials on week days. Must go place for fun

I had tons of fun. Although we had two kids racing us, I felt pretty safe. They on the other did not show us any mercy. I suggest getting more than one race. I was pressed for time, but the One race was indeed fun.

I went there yesterday as part of my bachelor party. $ 39 dollars gets you three races or $ 100 gets you eight. First thing when you get there you have to enter your information and create a profile on one of the computers and after that you wait for your race which will be listed on the television. They have t-​shirts and driving accessories, Red Bull and other drinks are also available. The front counter staff was very friendly and the staff running the go karts work together like a machine. If it’s the first time you go you have to do a small instruction briefing which is very helpful. Then you have to put on a helmet liner and a helmet. The helmet is very important because these go karts are capable of going very fast. My friends say they can go up to 45 miles an hour but I am not sure. You want to aim to get a 22 second lap because then they will turn up the speed on your go kart. They have the ability to remote control the speed of the go karts, so if someone gets spun around they can stop everyone. In the turns you can get sliding a little bit if you want, the feeling is tremendous. After you’re done with your laps you get a scorecard which shows your best lap your average lap and even has a leaderboard for the best of the week and overall. Then you just wait for the next game. I will definitely have to go back again.

I went to K1 Speed with my family and enjoyed my time! We used a Groupon that came with 4 races per person for I think $ 48. I enjoyed the races and the turns on the track. The carts were fast. BUUUUUUT sometimes the turns would have you jerking in your seat and after we left that place everyone was aching. My last race I did not get a score sheet for, which I was disappointed with because I thought I did pretty well. They told me there must have been a glitch in the system, I didn’t get a apology or anything I was standing there waiting to hear something from someone but we just ended up leaving. I don’t make too many confrontations in businesses but this is one time I wished that I had asked to speak to a manager or something. It is not good to tell a customer «There’s nothing we can do» even if there really is nothing you CAN do. When you run a business there is always something you can do when a customer is dissatisfied, which is a simple APOLOGY! If it wasn’t for that I think this place would’ve gotten 4 stars from me.

I brought my dad here for his 70^th birthday. Our goal? To make him forget he is 70! It worked! He had a great time. We did two races. The people were friendly and it was a fun however expensive time.
Things I didn’t love were the smell of the place and the loud noise inside but would be hard to avoid these with an indoor track.

Was in there the other day still think this place is the best I really do I like there very comfortable leather couches and the way its set up so that you can watch the racers I also like. but! I did think the track was a bit weathered if that the right word or the car I had had bad tires it was sliding a little too much into the turns bad track bad tires? just 1 of those 2 needs a little work not sure but in any case I still like it very much great place

The kids had fun with the go karts bu the place was FILTHY, especially the bathrooms

Changing my review on k1 for the most part still the same was there the other day went 14 laps didn’t take it as seriously lol because I tend to overdue things:). but! I thought it was great! still a thrilling experience! I think they should make a 2 level k1 with a circular trac going up and down! and make the seats in the go carts a little more comfortable and maybe increase the speed. but as for now its still the best! I didnt like the sock they made me where to constricting? and seeing as they are electric not sure y? fire proof or not? i could of done without it that’s just me! other then that still gets 5 stars

If you’ve ever been to fastrax raceway, k1 speed is pretty much an exact replica. Their layout is the same as fastrax’s original layout so you’d be familiar with it. Also the employees are nice and best of all the karts go FAST! Definetly a 5 star place!
