June 18th @ 12:30 pm We walk in, no waiting and we were seated right away Ok, my booth seat was not comfortable because it felt sinking right in the middle under my butt, I mentioned it to the hostess which she moved us somewhere else then that seat had a big bump right in the middle as well under my butt as I sat which felt REALLY uncomfortable, I mentioned this also to the hostess which she moved our seat again to more a comfortable seating arrangement(felt like a scene from Goldie Locks and the 3 Bears). IHOP used to be great place to eat affordably but not anymore, I spent $ 37.56 on 3 simple breakfasts for the 3 people(I had 3 scrambled eggs with hash browns and water, my wife and daughter just wanted pancakes and water) tip included and left not feeling full or satisfied with what I spent plus our meals were not as ordered the 1st time! Our server Gina was ok but a little to attentive because she had nothing better to do especially when it came to pay the bill since it was not busy. We had finished our meal, just relaxing and having a conversation and noticed our server pacing back and forth looking at us and she had the audacity to say«when are you paying the bill?». My wife was in awe, gave her the credit card not in a nice way and I asked for the manager who was not present to complain after I told our server«you or any employee are not supposed to ask a customer that!» then we left pissed to never return! The pictures below does nothing for me or make want to rush and eat @ IHOP and the people in the pictures must be relatives or employees to look happy or like they are enjoying themselves because most or all of the people that I know say IHOP sucks or is going down hill especially the Wolf Road location looks run down! People save your money and go somewhere else worthy!

We love iHop and have been going occasionally since I was a kid. Your experience there depends on the individual restaurant. Food is consistently good, but this particular location is dirty and in need of renovation. It’s one of the older ones with the kitchen front and center and it’s not in great shape or clean. Staff was friendly.

TV ads said kids eat free through May 6. My kids had never been to an IHOP. After tonight I doubt they’ll return to one unless they’re desperate. So, quick synopsis: 5 pm Friday, place mostly deserted. Funny smell, dirty floors. Hostess seated us immediately and then got weird when we said we were from Vermont and came over to shop. She must have thought I said Ukraine from the way she was acting. Clue for ya: VT is right next to NY. It’s a short drive for us. Service adequate, low expectations on food quality were met. Kids being Vermonters, were disgusted with the lack of «real» maple syrup. Had to explain the concept of food costs. Pancakes actually tasty. Not sure what the butter-like substance on top was, but it did melt. Eggs tasted overwhelmingly like griddle grease. Chicken components of the chicken and waffles dish were straight-up Sysco freezer food. Soda was flat and watery. Wife had turkey bacon and felt sorry for the turkey. All in all, I’d say it was low-grade diner food, and exorbitantly expensive for what we got. We had to actually ask for the advertised promotion; the kids ate for free and still felt they got ripped off. My advice? Don’t. Just. Don’t.

Waitresses talking about jail and parol to the cooks speaking over the ordered food. I’m not even hungry any more because of this. Imagine the spit that’s in everyone’s food. Not a very professional work environment Our waitress is sweet but did mess up the order however… Meh Denny’s is better id say just because of this

Took 15 minutes to get attention… Ten minutes to get water… Another 20 to get the food and the waitress messed up the order… The only reason I’m giving two stars is it’s cheap and better than the dennys down the road

Ok, I grew up with IHOP. When I was young I could not believe you had your own syrup bottles with different flavors right at your table! And what yummy pancakes! Fast forward from 1970 to last week. What a sad, sorry experience. The place was nearly empty, about 2:30 on a weekday afternoon. Three of us were seated in a booth for two and we had to ask for a bigger spot. The waitress said ok, but she would have to go get silverware. Ok. We ordered quickly and then waited a good 15 minutes for our food to arrive. My over hard eggs were black and almost without recognition. The sausages were tiny shriveled pieces of cardboard. The bacon looked ok as well as the hash browns. I told the waitress that I couldn’t eat this, and she asked me if I wanted to send it back. Ok. Meanwhile my daughter and her friend were scraping off a gallon of red strawberry goo from their stuffed french toast. So sweet and so much they couldn’t eat much. Meanwhile the first of my endless pancakes arrived. Raw in the middle. Then my eggs arrived. Over medium, same cardboard sausage, now some raw bacon, and an oily mess of hash browns. And 2 more pancakes. I ate the pancskes, but the syrup lid was broken and fell onto my plate. Never again. $ 45 dollars later for breakfast for 3 and I’ll try to hold onto my childhood memory.

Terrible. The first clue was an empty parking lot at 8 am. We had to ask for the table to be wiped clean. The breakfast was cold and there was no cash register! The waitress cashed us out from her apron. Also the floors were filthy. We warned the next customers away on our way out. Unfortunately there was no one to warn us.

the food was ok… The table, coffee cup, salt and pepper shaker were not clean. There was syrup drops on the partition, between the tables. The waitress messed up the order, forgot to bring utensils. Then we noticed that the location got a B for cleanliness and this made sense.

Went here during the afternoon and it was dead only one car in the parking lot and I thought it was closed. There was only one family inside, staff were sitting around, there were flies inside the restaurant not like one or two but like 6 in our seating area. As we were walking to our seat there were dirty dishes of half eaten food like it has been sitting there from breakfast. It was so gross and disgusting I felt terrible to walk in. I didn’t even order food I walked out after letting it all soak in. Its a shame it used to be a great place and now it looks like a run down dinner just keeping alive because of its name… Please just go to Denny’s down the road if you want breakfast…

Despite the other reviews, I think they’re great. Sometimes the floors are a but messy, however the employees quickly sweep when they notice the mess. The people are great and Have a good sense of humor. I like the original stack of 5 pancakes. I also typically get hash browns and bacon. So far, so good!

Completely disgusting. Floor was nasty, I would see in the kitchen and the floor was moldy and they had syrup in open containers on the floor! Everything is dirty I will never come back again

I’m going to contextualize this review by saying — I LOVEIHOP. I have since I was a kid. I’ve eaten at IHOP’s across the country. This location, by leaps and bounds, is the worst IHOP I’ve ever experienced. Mismanaged completely. The pancakes are about half the size you’ll see at all other IHOP locations. I waited 20 minutes for an omelette because they made it wrong twice. All I asked for was to remove the green peppers. Apparently, the dunce line cook couldn’t comprehend that. I know this sounds terrible, but you know when you see a person that looks stupid? This was the line cook. Looked like he’d be stuck for a solution to 3+3. Then, he’s there talking to the other line cook, «Yeah, bro.» Blah. Blah. Blah. SHUTUPYOUIDIOT. FIXYOURHAIR. BRUSHYOURTEETH. ANDOMITTHE F&CKINGGREENPEPPERS. I’ve experienced this terribleness twice — one year apart. STAYAWAY. Set your money on fire before you come here… because either way, you’ll have no money… and at least you won’t be disappointed.

Pancakes aren’t some kind of mystery, and serving them to the public shouldn’t be hard, but this particular IHOP fails at it. Pancakes are really easy(Mix, egg, milk, stir, heat), and yet this location is so bad at serving them. I have low standards for IHOP’s, generally, and this IHOP doesn’t even come close to meeting those. Maybe I just don’t understand the place. Maybe the reason I thought the wait staff were extremely slow and inattentive was because they were hiding. Perhaps this IHOP is really the«International Hide-And-Go-Seek with Our Patrons». My wife and I were the only two in the place and the waitress was scarcely seen. It seems the rest of Albany has either A.) Learned to stay away from this location altogether or B.) Is also playing Hide-And-Go-Seek at this location. Perhaps she’s not a bad waitress. Perhaps my wife and I are just really bad at Hide-And-Seek. Perhaps it wasn’t our waitress that was barely trying to do the bare minimum to accomplish her job. Perhaps my wife and I should have put some effort into finding her to win the unannounced game of hide-and-seek. The restroom, when I went there, had been destroyed and was in dire need of cleaning. It was so bad I lost my appetite, and wanted to puke. The problem was that there was nowhere to puke because I wasn’t sticking my face near that toilet or that trashcan or that sink. I probably could just puke on the floor. That sounds bad, but I’m pretty sure someone else had already done that before me. Whoever is supposed to clean this is doing a REALLY good job of hiding. Don’t go here. There is better diner food in Albany(Dan’s Place Two, Bob’s Diner). There is better diner food on Wolf Road(Denny’s). This IHOP location is a travesty.

STOP! Don’t come here! They will steal your money! This place is an absolute disaster, and I would suggest everyone who came here before check their bank statement to see if there is a fraudulent charge. I stopped here and wanted to get a quick dinner before the movie starts. I got a Chicken Caesar Salad, and it was the worst Chicken Caesar Salad I ever had — tiny little bit of meat, no parmesan cheese, lots of half withered iceberg lettuce(see the picture I uploaded, can’t believe they served their customer this). With a desert, these cost me about $ 15. After I got home, I checked my account balance, and saw after the $ 15 bill from IHOP, there’s another $ 35 charge from IHOP right after my bill. This is either a mistake or the staff there took the receipt I left on the table and wrote a huge tip. As a result, I will never come to this IHOP or any other IHOP again. *Update: I called the second day and the owner was very nice and promised to take off the charge. Still, going through these is more trouble than it’s worth, I will not go back to IHOP again.

I’ve been bringing my family to his IHOP for almost 15 years. I travel alot and would always stop at IHOP for b-fast whenever i can and this IHOP was always THE best. Not in recent months. What a turn-around. Long waits for cold food when it’s not busy and even longer when it is. Though the service tries, it just seems like there’s no management anymore. I’m not sure what’s happening. i know that this plce was the same owner as the IHOP in Clifton Park and this one was always better than the CP location. I mentioned it to the owner a long time ago and he said he had troubke finding good help in CP. It looks like the same has happened or, he sold both businesses to new management that has no clue. It is really too bad. I used to really like going here but no longer.

Permutations and combinations! How many ways can you combine eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, hash browns, toast, waffles, steak, biscuits, and fruit? Would you believe 11 pages in a menu? This excludes oatmeal, sandwiches, dinners, appetizers, soups & salads, and desserts which make up about another half-dozen pages at an IHOP. I’m usually passing an IHOP at a VERY non-breakfast hour and witness an empty parking lot. This day was no exception. A craving for French Toast at mid-afternoon after a medical procedure that required approximately 24 hours of fasting was the reason for this visit. Probably 10 years since our last one. A very friendly and perky waitress greeted us, the only customers, and seated us in a booth with a grasshopper on the window — no problem, it was on the outside. A fresh carafe of coffee was immediately brought to the table as we started to study the menu… pictures and descriptions. Near the back of the menu, near the very back of the menu, I found a page titled«55+». Knowing that there was no way I would be asked for an ID, I decided to order the«Two x Two x Two»($ 7.79) — two buttermilk pancakes, two eggs, and two bacon strips. The pancakes were light, flavorful, even more flavorful with their«old fashion» syrup, the bacon was cooked to a well-doneness, similar to jerky, that requires you to pick it up with your fingers and bite because even a knife would not cut it, and the eggs were cooked perfectly to the requested«over-easy.» The«Create Your Own Viva La French Toast Combo»($ 9.29) consisted of two slices of French toast, two eggs, hash browns, and two sausages. These eggs were also properly cooked to the requested«over-easy» and the sausages were the typical breakfast sausage that you get everywhere. The hash browns were the shredded potato style, over-salted and formed into a rectangle. As for the French toast, it was standard white bread, not much thicker than sliced Wonder Bread, that had not soaked up enough of the egg mixture before being cooked on the griddle. Adding their syrup and letting the egg yolks on the plate run into the toast helped enormously. The coffee($ 2.39 /person) was actually, surprisingly good. I have no idea why the prices end with such strange cents. I rounded up from 2 ½ to 3 stars. See you again in another 10 years.

Ok. Still looking for a place to take my little girl! Anyone? Anyone? Went to ihop after stopping by Barnes and Noble to buy some kids books last Saturday night. It was crazy. There were staff members fighting in the back. Food was coming out helter skelter. The waitress was mixing milk chocolate to order on a dining room table. I finally became so frustrated, I got up to leave and asked for our food to go. She was really sweet and overwhelmed(hence two stars), but could not figure out how to work the register. I dropped the money and abandoned the food. Look,… I do this for a living too. I get how crazy and difficult people can be. But this review is on the owner. Its the ‘Wild Wild West’ in your shop, sir. Its time for some systems and training.
