This old guy is off his rocker!!! I went to get a hemming and arms shortened, he wanted to charge me more than the suit cost. He told me it’s not worth his time if it’s not at least 300 dollars… needless to say I went else where…

I tried to get a suit tailored by Ernesto. I went in with a list of the things I wanted done(jacket sleeves, jacket waist, tapered pant leg, and pant hem) because one of the previous reviewers said to make sure you know exactly what you want Ernesto to do when you get there(I am guessing because of his very thick accent?) I stared to tell Ernesto what I wanted and said«I want the jacket waist taken in, how much is that?» Ernesto told me his price and I pulled out a pen and wrote the number down. I couldn’t even say what I wanted done next when he became irate walked away from me and started yelling about how he was not going to do my tailoring. Ernesto said«you’re just going around asking prices at every place» to which I replied«actually I was just writing down what each alteration costs so I could add it up and have an idea of what the total would be». Ernesto told me «I won’t do your clothes go away». As I walked out he continued yelling about something but I couldn’t understand him, at that point all I cared about getting out of that negative environment. His attitude is terrible and I won’t solicit his services ever again.

Trustworthy guy to go to & reasonable prices! I’ve brought pants to be hemmed, a shirt to be tailored, and my favorite purse that had a broken zipper. A hook enclosure came off my inexpensive dress pants and he provided a replacement clasp that he sewed back on. The turnaround for my requests have been one to a few days.

Bought some new pants at Macy’s that needed one inch let out at the waste. Macy’s offered the service for $ 22 and it was going to take a week or longer. Decided to bring them here, thought it was going to be cheaper. Surprisingly, it was not. Dude Ernesto did a good job and fairly quick, but the job was fairly simple, yet he charged $ 30. If I need a rush job and am willing to pay extra, I’d bring it here. But if there’s no rush, I’d look for a cheaper place.

Bottom line is this guy is extremely good at what he does. He used to be a custom tailor in Italy before he moved to the US. If you can get past his thick accent and the shoddy look of his facility, you’ll find that he does quality work. I got a suit altered by him in 24 hours and the results were fantastic. Here’s the breakdown: Width reduction around sides(required sleeve removal): $ 110 Waist reduction around pants: $ 25 Extra fabric off of back between the shoulders: $ 40 He’s not cheap but his prices are fair, especially considering this was basically a rush order. Ernesto is the real deal. He claims to be one of the only custom tailors in the area. I don’t know if that’s true, but I do know that he’s been recommended on more than one occasion. He’s often referred to as the go-to guy for tailoring emergencies because he can do fantastic work in a small amount of time. I needed a winter coat taken in, and my husband(after losing close to 70 pounds) wanted a suit taken in as well. Price-wise, it’s hard for me to comment on how reasonable he is. I don’t have a ton of experience with tailors. My coat was within a price range that I thought was fair. My husband’s suit was a huge undertaking(Ernesto basically had to take the entire suit apart and build a smaller one with the pieces), thus it cost us quite a bit. Once we got our garments back, we felt as though it was money well spent. The coat and suit were impeccably tailored. It was as though we bought them brand new. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t consider taking my garments anywhere else.
