HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE. They are very sneaky with financing so beware. We had a major problem with our carpet within one year… reported it and guess what, they have now let the warranty run out and are saying, «sorry» because they dragged their feet and never followed up with us as promised. I could say a hell of a whole lot more, like their installers left their hand prints all over our freshly painted walls… but I didn’t complain about that. Later found out the financing they tricked us into that has left us in a huge jam. NOW, they refuse to replace a portion of our carpet that is fraying and separating. HORRIBLE, CHEAPCOMPANY! t’s impossible to rate Empire Today — other than their incessant advertising and promises of cheap($ 99) flooring, they seem incapable of hiring quality, dedicated estimators to get to your home and make the first steps of a sale. I waited 3 weeks for the first appointment, they person did not arrive in the window, and when I called, they said she was busy and would get back to me. I cancelled on the spot — the entire day would have been wasted waiting for them. They called 6WEEKS later to apologize and re-schedule; it was a holiday for me, so I agreed to let them try again. The morning of the appointment, Empire cancelled and wanted to select another day. Screw me twice, shame on me. I will not take their re-scheduling call or deal with them(the $ 99 is probably a shadow fee anyway, and not rooted in fiscal reality). I will engage the local home decorating center, who will show up and do the job well. Perhaps Empire should concentrate on SERVICE over ADVERTISING.
