I apologize for this long overdue review, but I’ve had Albany Bowl café cater our yearly office party that we had a Albany Bowl twice now. The owner Bob was very professional and produced an outstanding spread each time. We rented out 10 lanes and needed food for about 60 people. Bob laid out all the food on time, hot, and tasty. If you’re thinking of planning an event at Albany Bowl, I can definitely recommend the Café out front for all your food. One tip, Bob excel’s at Mediterranean/Moroccan food, so I would suggest ordering from that menu!

Nod bad. $ 32 for shoes and 2 games for two people seemed a little high. I bowled in Dublin and Livermore and paid less. The bar is good though. They also have pool tables which was a good way to finish the night.

This review is based on facts. Fact one, that was one Damn Fine Burger. Fact two, at least 6 employees came in to eat whole I was here. In case you didn’t know that’s a very good sign. Customer service was great. The guy who took my order cleaned whenever there was a chance, and no customers. I saw him package up a plate of food made by the kitchen by mistake, and give it to an employee of the bowling alley. Sweet.

I will NEVER eat here again!!! I’ve been going to Albany bowl since I was a kid and never experienced any issues until… I went into Albany for a quick bite to eat. I walked into the café and ordered my food. I asked a question or 2 about the menu and the cashier seemed annoyed. I brushed it off and waited for my order. I watched the cashier go into the kitchen to talk to the cook. The cashier didn’t notice me watching the two of them in the kitchen. I saw him use his bare hands to take my meat off the grill. I was immediately disgusted! He just took my money and did not wash his hands or put on gloves. The cook watched the cashier fix my plate as well which I thought was strange. Both the cook and the cashier came out at the same time with my plate of food. I had a bad feeling about whatever was going on and decided to get a refund.

I disagree with the other reviews for the Albany Bowl Café. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, or from the inside for that matter, but I really like their burgers and fries. The service couldn’t have been better. The guy who waited on me told me that they had a new menu, so maybe they also have a new cook or a new owner. I was very happy with my experience all the way around. I wish they delivered.

Absolutely atrocious service received while buying food to eat while bowling. I came in a party of around 35 people and we were playing on SEVEN lanes. Despite this information the worker wouldn’t give us more than 25 plastic cups. Yep, plainly refused our request and even asked us to share cups. Seriously?! In addition, when I tried to grab napkins for our pizzas, he was staring at me the whole time, and even questioned me, asking if I was going to use all the napkins I took. Albany Bowl is nice and all, but I will never support their café after this incident.

Headed home and cogitating over this exact thought: When I ingest my gravy beef sandwich, it will be so lonely that there will be no golden onion rings to accompany it…(too much food from the Middle Kingdom recently on travels… have been really craving good ol’ junk food of late) Pass Albany Bowl and spot the greasy spoon… U-turn… I need some rings!!! $ 5 for an entire non-environmentally friendly styro container of onion rings… fried nicely, good color. just wish there was more of a panko-style crunch, and thicker cut of frozen onions. Perfect; my beef friend had a friend now to go down my hatch. Great ol’ American dinner! PS They serve breakfasts here… starting at 0900. Their dinner specials were diner-type offerings, and pretty inexpensive too. Glad that I stopped by… wonder if I’ll ever bowl again.

Nice place to eat for a bowling alley good Yellow Curry Chicken and corn dogs. Not a five star but much better than any other bowling alley food I ve tasted.
