Double check when they calculate your final bill, they tend to make mistakes. When we bought some clothes last time, there were some sales, first the owner forgot to put the discount which we corrected at the store; then after we came back home, we realized the tax was calculated based on the original price, not on the sales price. We went back to talk to the owner, but after consulting his wife, he told us this is the right way and it’s programmed in the Cash register! This is ridiculous and apparently they have been charging other customers the same way! I don’t know whether this is really their lack of basic taxation knowledge or they purposely do it as a way of overcharging the customer, even though they refunded us at the end, this left a very bad taste to us.

Cassandra is a-ma-zing. Like many FTMs out there, I was overwhelmed with all the new lingo on cloth diapering. Husband and I stopped by one weekend and Cass was more than helpful. We eventually went to the cloth diaper workshop and eventually purchased Grovia Hybrid/AI2 shells and inserts. I actually need some more and I will be stopping by soon. Also, her prices are the same as Amazon’s when it came to Gro-via diapers, might as well purchase from the Diaper Connection. Support local business, people! :)

The owner of this darling establishment is not only very friendly but will also spend time answering all of your questions. The shop is also very child-friendly which is great for parents who are shopping with little ones. If you are looking for multiple brands of cloth diapers, you have come to the right place. She has all the top brands. Her prior location did not have little girls clothing, but her new one does! It is a great store, with excellent prices, and a spectacular owner!

What a pleasant surprise of a shop! The little girl clothes are so cute and special — and ridiculously well priced! Perfect place to pick up a new outfit for your own daughter and also a great place to find a unique gift for a friend without breaking the bank. The little girl clothes are a fun alternative to Baby Gap which I can’t get enough of right now but the store also has the most adorable headbands. You’ll want to grab a handful of them at the very least. The cloth diaper options and baby supplies are fantastic too. This store really has variety without having too much stuff and Cassandra, the store owner, is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to cloth diapering and organic baby products. Get to this store ASAP; you’ll definitely find a few lil treasures to take home.

Great selection of cloth diapering products. We bought a really cute swim suit and matching hat for baby swim lessons — blue with pink flamingos! The owner knows her stuff since she is currently cloth diapering her little one. Located on a convenient street in Alameda, close to other shops and restaurants. I hear there are classes and related events.

Went to a free cloth diaper workshop here presented by Cassandra, the owner. One of the best baby preparation classes I’ve attended. Cassandra really knows her cloth diapers. I checked out some websites about cloth diapers and was completely overwhelmed. It was great to see and learn about cloth diapers firsthand. Cassandra did not push us to buy things from her store after the workshop. She explained thoroughly the pros and cons of each type of cloth diapers, gave us tips on how to clean them and how to prevent leakage. The store also has cloth diaper rental program in case you just want to try diapers out and not spend a lot of money and decide you don’t want to do cloth diapers. That may sound gross to people, but Cassandra makes sure the diapers are in good shape and clean. The store carries a wide selection of cloth diapers and accessories. The store has limited hours, but she’ll be glad to meet you by appt. Great small business and great customer service!

Want to actually physically see most of the top brands & compare them side-by-side? Got questions about cloth diapers you’d like answered by a lovely, extremely knowledgeable mother/owner who believes in what she sells? Want good prices comparable to online prices? This little gem is a specialty cloth diaper shop that basically only sells cloth diapers and associated products like special laundry detergent etc. There is no where else in the whole bay area that I’m aware of that offers this. So use the power in your wallet to support good small local businesses like this. And the power of the digital pen after your experience to share it on Unilocal. TIPS * Part-time hours so plan ahead. * It’s on the 2nd floor above a shop & doesn’t stand out so read the street numbers. * Can get a bit hot in there on a hot day.

As a new mom curious about cloth diapering I felt overwhelmed by all the options out there. I stumbled upon the website and attended their free seminar, major plus. I learned so much and actually ended up buying one brand when I initially wanted a whole different type of diaper because of what I had learned. They are very knowledgeable, friendly and VERY accommodating to your needs should something go wrong with a product. The store is well organized and I hope to see it grow as some colors/designs aren’t offered, but they can order it for you. Thank you Cassandra for helping a first timer!

I was so excited to find a cloth diaper store, not only on the East Bay, but right here in Alameda! I had been looking for a store that carries a few different brands of cloth diapers so I could look at the diapers and compare them. Most stores only carry one or two brands. The Diaper Connection carries Grovia AIO&AI2, Thirsties, FuzziBunz, gDiapers, Happy Heinys, to name a few. They even have swim diapers. It was great to actually feel the diaper in my hand, open it up, and look inside. Yes, you can read about cloth diapers online, but it’s quite something different to see it in person. The owner is really helpful and has lots of information, and as she has a baby herself, she has practical advice. When she didn’t know something she called up her rep right away and got the answer. The store is very small and is a 2nd floor walk-up. There is no elevator, so don’t bring a stroller. As the previous reviewer said, the store is only open half-days and half the week, so check the website before going there. The owner operates this with her husband and she keeps her baby with her too — this is literally a mom-and-pop(and baby) store. This is a great store and it’s great to support local business.

A friend sent me some information about this store as I was considering trying cloth diapers for my 5 wk old as we are struggling with diaper rash and were told that cloth diapers may help get rid of it and prevent it in the future. Went to the store and was very impressed. Very cute little shop, great selection– everything from super economical to pricier systems and owners to tell you the pros and cons of each. They sell laundry detergent and diaper area care products as well. We had some questions the owner didn’t know the answers to and she looked them up for us while we shopped which was really helpful. The website is a great resource also and they offer a free diapering seminar on Wednesday nights! Highly recommended store! Would be great to see this store survive and thrive. One tip– check the store hours before planning a trip– the store is open half days and only certain days of the week. BUT they offer«by appointment» times as well, which is awesome.
