I called in to the mountain Mike’s in Alameda to place an order for delivery. The woman on the other end of the phone was so rude, and short with me. I placed my order and she told me that it would take 45min to an hour to receive it. An hour and 20 minutes later my pizza still hadn’t arrived. I called them to see where my food was and they very rudely told me that they needed another 20 minutes to deliver to me.
This place is absolutely the worst. I will never order food from them again!!!

If only negative stars were an option. I ordered a couple pizza for DELIVERY from these idiots. Not only did it take them 3 hours to deliver my pizza’s, the DELIVERY driver called me and made me come outside to HIS CAR to get the pizzas myself. My apartment faces the street and is on the first floor. Was it really that hard to get of your car and walk the 10 steps to my door? I guess customer service isn’t a priority with these people. NEVER ordering from these losers again!

I mean… it’s alright. We get the same pepperoni pizza every time and it is good. I do agree it can be a long wait for the pizza most times. The staff are possible family? They pay more attention to themselves than the customers. Pizza wait time is very long. As for the conditions of the facility, heck its no different than many of the places here on the island. But Croll’s closed so we get a pie from here every now and then.

Conflicted. (pizza 5 star… dirty restaurant 1 star) We ordered a pizza for pick up tonight. Came in and got glaring dirty looks from an employee sitting and eating in the dining room and the girl in the kitchen. The other girl was on the phone with taking an order so it was an awkward 7 mins we stood there in silence without even a hello… just being stared at by the other employees. The employee that was on the phone was very nice when she took care of us. I used the bathroom while we were waiting and it was hideous. Bathroom was disgusting! And I am a man so I have pretty low standards. It worries me that may be an indication of the state of the kitchen. All that being said the pizza itself was really really good. So we would order again I just hope the owners would please clean the restaurant!!! No excuse for that bathroom.

Horrible place and customer service. I had a pretty reasonable impression of this place which I was keeping from couple years ago (back then it was okay). But I recently stopped by this place and that was TRASH. I am that kind of guy who would be happy, if I get JUST AVERAGE pizza. But Mountain Mike’s pizza was uncooked flour and toppings even it came to me after F*CKING 50 minutes.
So, if you want to get the pizza, just go to Domino or Round Table or whatever. Honestly, I would say even 7 eleven’s pizza can be better than them.
Thank you for raw pizza Mountain Mike and f*ck you. I’ll never come back.

These guys are SUCK. The WORST experience in any pizza place in the island. I am not that picky and i did even have a time to try Digirno’s pizza. But Mountain Mike pizza is way below substandard than frozen pizza. It is about all: quality, customer service, and their communication, everything. I don’t even have a WORD to express my disappointment.
When i get there, pizza place has just 2 customers including me. I ordered medium pizza and it took 45 minutes to come and it is raw (it is just a raw flour and toppings). You folks, never go to this place

Rude people. Took over an hour, arrived cold. The entire center of the pizza was raw dough. Called and asked for a refund, they said the driver would be back to pick it up if I wanted a refund. Then told me to never call again.

Bad, very very bad. Service worse than the pizza.
When I called in, they said 10 min. It wasnt busy. I arrive 12 – 15 minutes later, wait 10 minutes. No pizza up. Wait another 10 and ask about my order, it had been sitting!
Had to reheat when I got home. Cost=15.69 medium, one topping pizza. No thanks.
Service is that of 12 year old retarded children.
Pizza almost tastes like frozen.
La Vals is only decent pizza on the Island, unfortunately in bay farm.

My 1 star review is not based on the quality of this pizza, I actually think you guys have great pizza.
I am giving this store a 1 star review because I have spent the last 30 minutes trying to order online and call, only for the online system to shut down and for the phone to ring and ring with no answer or even machine. The store has been open for over an hour, I don’t understand why no one would be answering.
So instead I called Papa Murphys, because even though it’s take and bake and I have to do a lot more work, they answered the phone on the first ring.
Get it together, Mountain Mikes!

Bathroom was gross !! Not even fit for use. Came here for a bday party. If my little one didn’t have to go so bad I would have taken them to the McDonalds across the street to pee.
My family will NEVER eat hear again. After seeing the bathroom I am not sure why I let my kids finish their pizza .
How could this place exist in alameda ?

I’m not often tempted to write reviews, but I was checking this place out on Unilocal while at their location waiting for my to-​go order, and I’m writing to balance out some of these crazy negative reviews I keep reading. (I’m only giving it 3 stars bc it’s a chain pizza restaurant and that’s about how high any solid chain pizza joint would get from me.)
Service: 5 stars. Both young men that waited on me were polite, friendly, gave me a cup of water for my dog, and handed over my pizza in exactly the 15 minutes he said it would take.
Not sure why so many bad reviews here. The food (whilst not 5 star) was hot, fresh and had a crispy crust.
Anyway just hate to see businesses get dogged out when it’s not that bad. It’s context people, context. You are eating at a chain pizza joint. What did you expect?

I normally don’t review chains, but to heck with it: here’s my review of Mountain Mike’s:
It’s bad. Really, really bad.
How can it be so bad? Well…
— Their store is all grimy
— They don’t have somebody working the front (seriously, it took three minutes for them to show up after I rang their little bell)
— They don’t take their own freakin’ coupons
But what about the pizza? Well…
— It’s doughy
— It’s barely got any sauce
— It’s expensive
— It’s pretty dang greasy

Where do I begin with Mountain Mike’s? It’s bad. And not bad meaning good. Bad as in poor quality, inferior, substandard, second-​rate, unsatisfactory, inadequate, unacceptably BAD.
For about $ 30 I got 2-​two topping pizzas that were thicker than focaccia bread with very little sauce or cheese. I really tried to see the good in the pizza but it was like trying to find the good in North Korea’s supreme leader Kim Jong-​un. I was at a loss for words.
But I’ve come to the conclusion that Mountain Mikes was HACKED by cyber terrorists that removed Mountain Mikes secret pizza recipes and replaced them with God-​awful recipes to kill it’s customers taste buds and change the way I feel about pizza forever more…
Or…
Mountain Mikes just sucks. Either way, save your dough, both the customer’s $$ (dough) and literally Mountain Mikes should save THEIR DOUGH and let people that know what to do with that dough make some real pizza.

What can I say that has not been said previously? In terms of quality, taste, seasoning, definitely fell below my expectations and my experiences elsewhere.
I was super excited to find a Mt. Mike’s on the island, however, next time I’ll venture out to Emeryville or Berkeley to satisfy my cravings. Service was decent… I’m usually pretty friendly, but definitely felt like I was just another number in a short line waiting for pizza and wings.
Thanks, but I will not be back unless there is a drastic change.
