Friendly staff and quite a selection of wines. They even have produce and a meat counter. Great lil neighborhood market and so convenient. I always come here for this and that and enjoy small talking with the cashier that’s always smiling and in such a good mood. The front staff make this place an inviting little alameda neighborhood gem.

Friendly staff, clean, and convenient. Priced a bit higher, but not any more than expected. If you want cheap, go to Safeway. Otherwise, they supply the basics for those times you just need a quick few items or want to avoid the crowds at the chain stores.
5 Stars if they’d add local bicycle delivery.

OK, the new owners have turned this place around!!! A lot cleaner and better selection of pretty much everything in the store. Good job to the new owners, very friendly and always helpful. I’m back to my old favorite little store.

Your typical «neighborhood grocery store» run by Asians, so everything costs about twice as much as it should, and you need to check the dates on the product to make sure it’s not way past its «sell by» date.
All that said, they have a tremendous selection of wine and beer (check the dates on them, to make sure they are not ruined, however), and you certainly can find things that you need here in a pinch, like milk or produce or salsa or other necessities of life.
So they are definitely a resource on my radar; just not the first or second resource I will go to in a pinch. EMPLOYEES ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND WARM FOR WHAT THAT IS WORTH.

New owners at my local grocer! Very friendly to boot.
The selection is somewhat varied, but they do have a few of those «things» that you may have forgotten whilst at the mega-​tron grocery store.
Vegies, milk, eggs, WINE!

This is really sad. I was hopeful when they re-​opened and gladly patronized this market. unfortunately, there is no quality control.
On a number of occasions I purchased under cooked chicken. decided to look the other way, perhaps it would get better. the last straw (s) was produce and dairy that was improperly sealed, leaking and passed it’s expiration date. when I brought this issue up to staff, they were indifferent, telling me it was my problem.
perhaps there was a reason they closed.
