Pretty good breakfast! We come for the waffles, my favorite being The Patriot(Belgian waffle, glazed strawberries, glazed blueberries, bananas, and whip cream)! The sides like eggs, sausage, grits are ok, but sometimes too greasy/or salty. Always great service, the wait staff is very kind!

They have Trader Joe’s style chalk art of farms, eggs and healthy iconography and then you open the menu and all they serve in high carb waffles, covered in cream, drenched in chocolate sauce and covered in powdered sugar, with a side of fries. My wife ordered Waffles with strawberries and they covered it in this neon red sugar sauce like the kind cheap Chinese buffets use. One regrettable bite of sickening sweet was enough. I think the only way to make the fried carbs drenched in 4 types of concentrated corn syrup worse would be to re-deep fry it in Monster energy drink. Which, if they read this review will likely be taken as a good suggestion, I expect to see as a menu addition. Wally, it’s fine if you want to serve diabetes on a plate and it’s probably a fine business model. Overweight people gasping for breath as there body collapses on them and their stank stinks the air from the realities of simply not being able to fit in your shower anymore. The fleshy lump of bloat at the table adjacent was obviously savoring his precious moment of anaphylactic bliss. And God bless him, he was making his choice and if you are one of the lucky people who has developed their sweetness tolerance to the point that they can neck down a neon red waffle slothered in powdered sugar and wash it down with a Pepsi, Wally has created for you a special place to embrace your suicide. I myself and terrified of death, obesity, neon red waffles, ect ect. But I love people. But drawing Trader Joe’s style art about farm fresh eggs and whole grain… your brand is all over the place. Unless it is unironically meant to be read with a smirking grin, like when a soldier in a WWI trench who knows his force is soon to overwhelmed lights up a cigarette, turns to his buddy and ruefully dead pans«you know these things will kill you.» In a cynical light, your whole-foods style branding suggestions are down right brilliant. Does Wally know better and pander to the branding trends of the moment or is he so flabbergastingly ignorant of even the most fundamental aspects of nutrient that he feels like sugar waffles are health food? In Ohio, the wonderful thing is knowing that it is probably even money either way. It’s either disgusting or brilliant and, ultimately, the fatties are destined to line up at the trough as Wally pours early onset diabetes into their sweaty, gullets, like a many teeted swine with his litter of greedy piglets, their crude, animal intelligence driving them instinctively to the highest source of calories at all cost, a primal urge bred into them from long before they were born, helpless as young piglets to do nothing but consume and sqee, till their fatty bodies swell into saturated, lardy bacon, where they are then slaughtered and served in Wally’s ultimate ‘tons of bacon’ BLT Which has A LOT of bacon. Cram it all in your fat mouths, Wally’s customers. Loosen your belt and force it in till your innards hemerage and then order more chocolate waffles and syrup. Pay Wally’s bill, feed Wally’s fat family, help Wally franchise.

The waffles are wonderful! I highly recommend! The omelette was great as well. Be prepared for a wait as this place is usually busy!

Looking for a place to eat breakfast, Wally Waffle looked good … The nearby Hilton front desk said, «I would choose that … It’s the best option», and boy were we pleased! The HUGE blueberry pancakes(blueberries inside) were the best we had ever had. The bacon was actually crisp — not burned and not kinda done. The Garden Omelette and Southwestern omelette were both very good. Also since it is Fall, they had a very good pumpkin waffle with a tall tower of whipped cream. The bill at the end was more than reasonable. Great value. Wished they had one of these in San Diego!

Good food, friendly service, and clean! Perfect trifecta for the perfect breakfast spot! I just wish there was one closer to home.

Pleasantly surprised by this place– I expected it to be a little gimmicky or too similar to Denny’s but it really was much better than you’d expect. We did have to wait 25 minutes for a table on a Sunday late morning, but that’s to be expected considering how small the seating area in this place is. Fortunately the area roundabouts is very walkable, so we took the 25 minutes to stroll around the library and market next door. Inside, the restaurant is bright and feels welcoming. Our server was extremely friendly, and gave us great service. We ended up ordering the country fried steak and an oatbran waffle. Both were delicious, especially the country fried steak– probably the best I’ve had. The waffle was also good– cinnamony but not too sweet and very fluffy. My only gripe is that I felt spending close to $ 7 for one waffle is a little ridiculous, but outside of that I did think their breakfast platters were fairly priced. At the end of the day, I don’t see myself going out of my way to come here often, especially knowing there will likely be a wait on weekends, but I would recommend to fellow breakfast lovers that are in the area.

I always thought chicken and waffles were kind of a weird mix but my girlfriend ordered them and they were actually really good especially the chicken. Wings and legs were kind of small though. And the wait is really long about half hour for brunch. Southwestern omelette is ok.

This is heaven for a fat girl or a foodie… I am both! Anytime I travel from DC to Akron there is always one thing on my mind. FOOD!!! Wally Waffle is by far one of my favorite places to eat in Akron. The service is always extremely friendly and fast. This past time I went to Akron over the 4th of July weekend I decided to go to Wally Waffle two days in a row. I got the What in the Waffle — one word OHMAZING!!! stuffed with bacon and topped with sausage gravy and sunny side up eggs it was a real treat. It was sweet and salty and for once(very rare) I ate ALLOFIT. The second day I got the Elvis waffle… OMG so good. A waffle stuffed with peanut butter and topped with bacon, honey, and bananas ughhh I don’t even want to know how many calories I consumed. My other favorites from Wally Waffle are the Apple Pie waffle and the Mexican omelet.

Stopped by for a quick brunch on Sunday morning. The chicken & waffles definitely hit the spot. Chicken was crispy and the batter was delicious. The waffles are bomb. Wait was about 15 minutes nothing too bad. It’s definitely not the best brunch place in town but you get what you pay for. I will probably return just for the waffles.

Chicken N Waffles, I mean it is a simple pleasure that many laugh at or simply just think is «crazy» for some reason or another. Was it the best I had, nope, but am I going to return for more, Hell Yes! That stated, the place was not to bad at all. Long lines to be expected, wait avg about 15+ mins. Food quickly arrives and the menu seems to be big enough to keep a wide range of people happy and give picky eaters a ton of options. Waffles were exactly what I’d expect. The chicken was fried nicely, very juicy with a batter that was a tad sweet and salty. This is basic american breakfast, though I did notice they also had burgers and other sandwiches. Do I dare try this someday? Not sure… to me I likely will stick with what is in the name of the place, waffles, and other breakfast related items. Though I might find myself adventurous and trying a burger some day…

I’ve been to Wally Waffle a handful of times and overall it’s okay. This time I got the Chicken Delight sandwich and it was pretty good, nothing spectacular. In the past I’ve gotten their blueberry pancakes and they are pretty good as well, but they are HUGE. Unfortunately there is always a long line on Saturday and Sunday mornings/afternoons(usually like 30 mins). I’d go here again, but I think there are better breakfast joints in Akron.

WAFFLES! For breakfast, for lunch, for dinner! These waffles are crazy… bacon inside, pudding and peanut butter on top! Crazy! We usually go as a group and the cut our waffles and share with everyone. There can be a wait, but it is never too long. I have never really had anything else on the menu, but I know they have huge bugers, but WAFFLES! !!! The staff also wears OSU shirts or Browns shirts when the teams are playing, I just think it is cute.

My kids love it. The latest creation is a pumpkin waffle. A big hit. The spinach salad was surprisingly good for a Waffle place. I only come here because of my kids. The southwest omelet was a good size, but had uncooked peppers and onions in it. I don’t mind so much, but it makes me think the cook hasn’t eaten one himself. A couple minutes on the griddle softens them up, warms them, and removes moisture that makes the omelet a little wet.

Right smack in the middle… The interior really surprised me. I was thinking it was gonna be like IHOP or something. Instead, it was dynamic, colorful and artsy in their own way. The chalkboard paint added some whimsy, too. I wonder if the buildout was from the previous tenant? Anyway, the big Drumm piece was the most impressive thing about my visit. I ordered the chicken & waffles and it wasn’t anything to write home about. I’ve only had chicken and waffles once(from an upstanding place) so the comparison isn’t even fair. I ate maybe a third of it because it just lacked any flavor or interest. I added grits for .99 and they put so much butter in them that you couldn’t eat them. My son had the Buckeye waffle and tore it up like no one’s business. My boyfirend had the Coconut and thought it was just«ok». The cocout was in the waffle batter and didn’t add much flavor. Service was ok. Prices were fair for what you get. There was a long line waiting to be seated when we left so call ahead if you don’t want to wait.
