Ordered A burger and got some deflated piece of trash instead. Kudos to the advertisement department for making food look like much more than what it is. Genius way to get all run your hard-working customers well done

We got seated fast, food was quick, can’t really complain about the service and the food wasn’t all that great but you can’t expect much coming to Denny’s

Where’s the hostess? Waiting to be seated… Maybe that’s the hostess… oh, nope… Still waiting… Maybe this guy walking by is the host… nope… Still waiting… Ahh, here’s the hostess… wow that took longer than expected! She then took us to someone else’s table who had been seated but went to the restroom and came back just as we were about to sit at her table. The hostess then took us to a different, dirty table and wiped it down while we stood there and waited. I also noticed that the walk to the tables included a very sticky floor due to maple syrup. After we were seated, the hostess brought us our drinks. That seems kind of pointless to me. There were other people waiting to be seated, she should have just let our waitress take our drink orders. Anyway, we ordered several menu items like eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and pancakes. Everything was good except for the pancakes. They had a weird rubbery texture. I liked that they were able to accomodate my Atkins eating friend and substituted menu items for her. Overall, the experience was just OK. We’ll be back eventually I’m sure.

Denny’s food is pretty much always what I expect – usually edible, greasy diner food at a decent price. I also prefer the updated décor to the griminess of some locations. I usually go there, though, when I need a 24 hour place to study where I have some space to spread out and can get drinkable coffee. Denny’s got me through massage school and nursing school. Having worked for tips at one point, I try not to go when I know it will be busy so I know I am not costing the waitresses tables/tips. However, up until today I have always ordered a meal and tried to leave a bigger tip than I normally would if I was just in and out because I AM taking up space. I figure its better than an empty table? As I usually do, I informed the person who seated me that I was probably just going to drink coffee and study, so they could put me in a corner and not bother with me. I don’t know if this is still bothersome to waitresses or how it affects how many tables they get, so I hope that is okay. I did feel bad that I only had coffee. I considered ordering dessert just to drive up the bill and hope the waitress didn’t hate me, but wasn’t really interested since I had a big lunch elsewhere, so I thought I would not waste the food and just leave a bigger tip. I was there, I admit, for 3 hours and the waitress did check on me but I never got a 2nd cup of coffee or anything else. The dining room never got more than half full, so I didn’t think I was being a bother. But right before I decided to leave I heard the waitress make a snarky comment about how she loves working for free. I totally get that frustration. Been there, done that. But that is something you complain about behind closed doors – not in front of the customers. Yes, some of them are rude and could use some schooling on the matter, but for someone else who was and always is willing to tip because I’ve been there, this turned me off. I don’t know if she was talking about me or about someone else who stiffed her(there were plenty of families with screaming kids this day and some douche bags using a coupon that complained about the cost and still leaving a tip) but I immediately felt uncomfortable and gathered my stuff and left. One cup of coffee was about $ 2 and I still left a $ 3 tip. I feel like that pretty generous for someone who made me feel unwelcome – she still made a 50% tip for every hour I was there and didn’t need to do anything. I would probably give the place another shot because usually the waitresses are very nice to me despite my books. I am never demanding and prefer not to be bothered much. But I think I will take my chances at Panera more often because a lot of people hang out there for hours studying and having meetings and using the internet and it doesn’t feel like you need to get the Hell out. It’s almost expected. Unfortunately, they close before I’m done… very disappointed.

My family and I just left this Dennys. In the past we have gone there after 4 and our children would eat free. This time however, we were charged for their meals. When we asked why, they are normally free after 4 we were told that was only on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Any other time I would be fine with this except that NOWHERE do they post specific days for this special! Not to mention that they have been free every other time! The website is sketchy saying«days may vary». Really??? Days may vary??? I feel like I’ve been tricked… This is all after waiting over 40 minutes for our food in an empty restaurant. Very disappointing. When we spoke to the manager, the best she could do was to offer refills on our drinks as we were walking out the door. Come on… Really…

I would have to say that my two star rating is more out of pity than deserved. My friends & I attempted to eat here on the afternoon of 03÷04÷14 but left before we were even seated. I felt so incredibly bad for the hostess that day! This skinny, over worked & underpaid young girl was clearly torn between wanting to quit(which I wouldn’t blame her) and the need for some source of income. When we walked into Denny’s, the hostess was explaining to the party in front of us that there was a 45 minute wait just for the food. Apparently, all of the cooks and most of the servers had called off that morning and there was no help anywhere in site. I really felt sorry for this girl and wanted to drag her away with us. Because what most people aren’t aware of is just how horrible it is to be a server in the line of chain restaurants such as this. Years ago(I hope things have improved since then but I doubt it) when the Streetsboro Denny’s location opened, I discovered that the servers there are only paid $ 2.13 an hour plus tips. Now it doesn’t take a genius to know that the tips in a place like Denny’s is degrading(if you even get a tip). Plus they are taxed on the few dollars people do tip them :( $ 2.13 an hour! To put up with the elderly crotchety crowd and the younger drunk kids who trash the place and never tip. There are a few of us in-betweeners who have been or are in a similar situation who might over tip out of recognition but we are all too few in existence. So regardless of what Denny’s you’re at, please show so much deserved respect and realize that if you made this little money to be on your feet 8 plus hours a day that you’re not going to have a smile on your face or a can-do attitude because their souls have been taken from them.

A friend and I went here a couple weeks back and I was pleasantly surprised by the entire visit. When we walked in I was unaware of the remodel, which I must say is impressive. I spent a huge portion of my early 20’s coming here late night with friends. Which was rather filthy and outdated. It’s so much cleaner and just overall has a better atmosphere. The food was great. We ordered breakfast of course. Moons over my hammy and pancake pups for me. So good! The new iced coffee was great too. Not bad Denny’s! Quick suggestion to edit the info for this restaurant. They are open 24 hours, always have and always will.

Ugh. This Denny’s just sucks. I’m usually pretty happy with food from Denny’s. And always pretty happy with the service I get from them. But this one just happened to fall pretty low. Which is pretty hard for me because I’m a pretty forgiving person on busy days. When I went, I went with my best and her boyfriend, and there were maybe three other groups our size in the restaurant. It did get busier later in the night when we were still there, but that is normal for any Denny’s. The woman who took our order didn’t use a note pad to write down any of our orders. And was overall just a rude person. I have a pretty harsh allergy to any milk. So when I asked if there was any milk of any of my food, she got really snippy and just shrugged and said«it’s probably just starch.» Even after I asked of there was any milk in anything I was having, she asked me if I wanted a milkshake. …Really? Whatever. So the restaurant got busy. And at this point we went 15 minutes without even getting our waters. She brought out all the food and didn’t even hand it to us. She slid the plates across the table, and didn’t even ask if we needed anything else. The food was meh. Didn’t sit with me too well. Also, my best friend didn’t get her milkshake until about 10minutes before we left. Service at its best in this restaurant, it seemed.

I’m pretty sure you’re all familiar with Denny’s by now. Weird lighting scheme, never really clean, and«food» disguised as passable with cheese and gravy. Yes, this is the business model for the Denny’s chain and it works for them. Normally, I would throw them in with one-star establishments like McDonald’s or White Castle, but I don’t hate Denny’s I come here because Waffle House frightens me and gives me bowel issues and IHOP is inhabited with curfew breaking teens and violent drunks at 3am, which happens to be when I usually need to get dinner. This Denny’s is ok. Honestly, a 2-star is better than I would give any other one I’ve been to. The wait staff is quick and attentive, the food is cooked well even if the quality is sad, and large amounts of food are cheap. Yes it’s in a strip of crappy chain restaurants; Friendly’s, Panera, Taco Bell, Wendy’s, IHOP, Waffle House, White Castle, Burger King, and some others which are too local to mention but are similarly bad. Yes, the area is reminiscent of an after photo of a town ravaged by meth addiction. And yes, every place on the road is on a rotating schedule to be robbed. But I gave it two stars. At 3am, I was fed quickly and inexpensively without having to run home to the bathroom afterwards.
