Where do I start, such a comedy of errors. We were a party of five. At the door there was a sign that said«Please seat yourselves», so we did. After a while a waiter comes up to us and says you cant sit here, this is reserved for call ahead seating !!! He walked away. Didn’t offer us an alternative. When eventually we had found a comfortable seating arrangement for the five of us the waitress came and asked us what we would like to drink. I said I would have a Peroni(Italian beer) I was told they didn’t sell it. Eh — its an Italian restaurant — how could they not sell Peroni !! So I had an English newkie brown ale(Newcastle Brown Ale). The lady took our order and I had the works pizza which was mentioned on the menu specifically at $ 8.95. The food took a while to come although I don’t mind waiting if its good. The pizza arrived it was EXCELLENT — might say one of the best pizza’s I have had in a long while. Finally the bill came and I was charged $ 10 for my works pizza which was specifically mentioned on the menu at $ 8.95. The waitress said it was a specialty pizza and all specialty pizzas were $ 10. She said she would take the $ 1.05 off of the bill — whats that about !! Sounds to me like they are specifically trying to take you for a ride unless you query it. As the food was very good and I would go back for that — I have given them 2 stars.

I have to agree with the people who got bad service. It is jekyl and hyde in there. Service is either great or awful. And when it is awful all you get is a sour look. Don’t bother calling to talk to the owner. He is never there and does not return calls. But the food is good. Be sure to check your lasagna to be hot in the center. Ours is usually cold. Pizza is good. The all meat stromboli offsets all the negatives and is priced right. If you want lemon in your tea or tomatoes in your salad, bring your own. They always seem to be out. So set your expectarions low and you wont be disappointed.

The service was good and the environment was ok. It has the feel of a chain and was loud without being full. The food was what we expected. I ordered a calzone with 3 cheeses, pepperoni, and Italian sausage. The sausage was sliced and very greasy, but the cheeses were good. My husband got the buffalo chicken pizza and it was very hot, you could smell it coming. The taste was good, but the hot sauce was just store bought.

if youre comparing it to big chain pizza joints like pizza hut, papa johns, little caesars etc… this place is 5 stars… if youre comparing to real pizzerias(ma pa) joints… their pizza is … eh just ok… over all not bad… not a place i die to return to… but if i have no other choices id go in…

My boyfriend and I went during a slow shift and only had one waitress. However, our food came out at a very timely manner. He and I just kept on talking and enjoyed ourselves. The food was nice and fresh as always. We have eaten at the one on Richland a few times and this is our first time at this one and everything was great. Good food, good atmosphere, and good service. Even though our waitress was by herself waiting on tables she did a very wonderful job at checking on every table she had(even though there were only 5 – 6 tables being used). I have always enjoyed their food. Definitely a good place to stop for a bite to eat.

After visiting for several years, we experienced the worst service due to the lack of management skill. The only waitress worked feverishly to keep up with 12 tables and a large party. The second waiter caused more problems by not doing his job. We waited 30 minutes for our breadstick appetizer. The kitchen was out of ravioli. The dinner arrived over an hour after we sat down and the food was not what we ordered or appetizing. When we asked to speak to the manager, he told us he was short a server and then rudely dismissed myself and my friend. After several customers complained of poor service, we were told by the wonderful waitress our billed would be covered. The manager lacked the nerve to face us. The manager is responsible for a very embarrassing show of his abilities.

Last evening my wife and I ate at Ferrando’s on Whiskey road. Having eaten there several times over the past few years I was expecting a generally good experience. Not so this time. It started well enough; the waitress was pleasant and prompt. When our drinks were about 1⁄3 full she was quick to refill them. The meal arrived in a reasonable amount of time but from there it went downhill. My wife ordered a couple of slices of pizza and asked for some additional toppings and one to be removed. When she received her order the additional toppings were included but they failed to remove the onions. I ordered a meat pizza with 2 additional toppings, neither was on the pizza. My pizza crust was a little doughy and the ham chunks looked as though they came from a bag in the meat section of our local grocery store and tasted decidedly processed When we pointed out the error to the waitress I suggested the bill might reflect the errors. It did not. I guess we upset the waitress, after she left our bill we waited quite some time for her return and eventually went to the counter to pay. Overall a disappointing experience for a local restaurant with a generally good reputation.

NY pizza? They’re both round, I guess. The crust was spongy, sugary, and too floppy to hold the toppings, which except for the pepporoni were all cut into ¼″ dice — perfect for falling off. So far, I’m sticking with barbeque down here.

I love Ferrando’s. I am very impressed with the food and the portion sizes. My only reason for giving it only 4 stars is the service. Sometimes they are very slow at refilling drinks. I went in there one time and it was not all that busy and wanted to order a beer. I told my server to come back because I was not sure if I was going to order just a single beer or a half pitcher. It took her a good 10 minutes to come back for my beer order and by the time I got my beer my pizza was already out. The food there is great. I love a good pizza and will continue going back. As other people have mentioned there is no longer a Ferrando’s downtown. There are two new locations: One is on Whiskey Rd. right across from the older Wal-Mart and the second is on Richland Ave. right next to the new Wal-Mart near USCA. Both locations are great for dine-in eating. There is also a delivery Ferrando’s on Whiskey Rd. across from Silver Bluff Rd. The Richland Ave. store does a student discount too so that helps…

Living in SC, seriously do you think that you are going to get authentic pizza from the likes of Dominoes, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns? I’m pretty sure the answer is no. For Aiken, this is the pizza for miles. I am sad that they closed their location downtown Aiken, and even the one in the valley, but it is much more convenient on the south side. I could go for one of their pizza’s right now. MMMM…

This is the best pizza in Aiken. Don’t bother with a chain. This is so much better. I will say that I think the pizza is better when you eat in than when you get the carryout, but that may have to do with the fact that they are in different locations. I agree with David T.- almost as good as John’s in NYC. YUMMMY!

Fast, good Pizza. Like all fast food places it is really noisy. The address has change to a mini mall. Call before you go to get the new directions.
