This review is primarily for the good fellow John that helped me fixed my broken glasses. I needed to fix my glasses before heading in to do a tattoo and could not find the right sized screws in any of the sets that you would find at a drug store or walmart. So in a last ditched attempt to find a fix I ran into Sears Optical. John was super friendly and helped me out. He even pitched a sale they were having on glasses being sold at $ 199. Thanks to John I didn’t have to cancel my appointment. I’m also going to go back to grab a pair of those glasses on sale after I get my next eye exam.

We came here today to get my hubby some new glasses. They were having a special on frames. Plus his vision insurance is covered here. We signed in and were put on a wait list. We looked at some from frames while we waited. When we were called, we were helped by a very pleasant worker named Brenda. She was very patient with us and provided us with awesome customer service. We mentioned that our next stop was going to be lens crafters to check their prices out and she went and actually called them for us and got prices and everything. She went above and beyond and it was greatly appreciated!

Sears Optical is awful. I went in to get my glasses adjusted and received the worst service. First of all, the receptionist is very unfriendly and inattentive. She did not say a single word to me; no greeting, a «how can I help you?»…nothing. Instead, she sat at her little desk with an annoyed look on her face and made phone calls. Secondly, the eye technicians are not helpful either. There is only two working at a time, thus, the wait time is much longer than necessary. Lastly, the selection of glasses for women are few. I understand it is a small section in a big department store, however, shouldn’t that be all the more reason why the customer service should be better compared to a bigger store?! I waited for a good 15 minutes until I decided to drive over to uptown and go to InSpecs.
