Island Liquor & Cigar

Yikes. I learned from just one visit to NEVER again buy a cigar from a liquor store and worse yet, never ask for recommendations from these people. Bought what I thought was a nice Partagas 1854. It turns out it is a very nice Partagas 1854 but this shop charged me FIVE times what I would have paid online and at least three times what other shops I have found since are charging. If that wasn’t enough, the whole time I was there the staff was bored, indifferent to whether I actually bought anything, and seemed all too happy to get me the hell out of their store.
Lesson learned. I have found another shop that is well stocked, has friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff and reasonable prices.
NEVER BUY A CIGAR (OR ANYTHING, I SUSPECT) FROM THIS STORE.

Absolute worst business in existence. Ive gotten kicked out of here just looking at their liquor selection and whenever they look at your ID they are extremely suspicious and they never answer their phones. Why are you still in business???

Customer service doesn’t exist here, just a whole lot of stink evil eyes and grouchy attitude. Went to check out the cigar selection it was almost as if they didn’t want to make any sales. Never again going to this establishment.

Great selection of cigars but lazy and dont answer phones, I mean most stores in pearlkai shopping center open till 9 I think they should too not like its a fancy place with humadors or even dusted off bottels… well when they are open better get what you got to get…

Don’t waste your time. Because When you walk in you’ll be wasting theirs.

Poor customer service. I bought some cigars at exactly 3:25 PM today, and the woman at the cashier stared at my driver’s license and credit card for more than 5 minutes until I finally pointed at my name on the credit card and showed her how it matched my name on the license. Duh?!
Every time I called this store to check if they are open for business, the phone always just rang and no one ever answered it. Since it is Sunday today, I figured I’d call first but no one answered so I drove there anyway. At least they were open. The woman followed me around the store as I looked for a nice Merlot to complement my dinner tonight. Then I tried to chit-​chat with her, but she did not have any personality. She was abrupt and seemed irate. Whatever happened to good customer service these days??? Or at least have some aloha…
By the way, I was the only customer in the store, so she could not have been that busy to be too irate as if rushing me out of the door. This is the only cigar store I know that has a worker who does not know anything about cigars and wines as I asked her specific questions about the products they sold. She replied: «I do not smoke (with an attitude).» I have never seen anyone so snotty to their own customers, but then I grew up in the east coast after all… if it even matters. I’m only trying to rationalize the reason for her very poor attitude towards me, a customer. I will never return to this store ever again. There are other cigar places to go to in Oahu especially in Honolulu where the staff is more civilized and with some class. Thank you.

When I entered I apparently disturbed the Chinese grandpa’s lunch break, judging by the stink eye I got from him. How dare I disturb his lunch by patronizing his store?!? Bought some Glenlivet and left…
