We went for the first time & we were very impressed with the food & service. The tamarindo Margarita is amazing & the food is one of the best mexican I’ve ever had. If you are in the area, please stop by!

It was a great place to go for an early dinner! My husband and I enjoyed our time there. Only downside was our waiter didn’t come by for a little while longer than we liked, but over all, the staff were friendly and welcoming!

Great food, reasonable prices and good service! I came to Platas for the 1st time yesterday for lunch and I love the food and service there. All meals are served with unlimited chips and salsa. I ordered the pick any three tacos and I picked shrimp and fish tacos. The tacos were a little on the small side but they had good amount of seafood. Rice and beans came with the entrée and the rice was mild and delicious. The prices are reasonable. The lunch entrees are about $ 12-$ 14 and the portion are pretty big with the rice/bean sides. Overall, extensive menu and fast service!

Vegetarian delights here… we recommend the spa nachos and the sweet potato taquitos plus their guacamole is pretty good too Nice spot, righteous margaritas

Came for dinner on Saturday, not too long of a wait– 15 mins. Had Hector as our server, excellent service. Very helpful in choosing a dish. Jalapeño cucumber margarita, good– could have a little more flavor. Special Ahi Tacos– great, fresh, light dish Camarones Al Ajo– loved the rice, fresh tortillas, more filling than I expected Definitely coming back!

Come here for the margaritas and the tacos! Both are amazing! Everything else, not so much. FOOD: Margaritas(5⁄5 stars): incredibly fresh and not overly sweet. Everything is fresh squeezed and the sweet and sour is actually a fresh made combo of lime and orange. My favorites were the blackberry sage and the grapefruit. So good! Tacos(4⁄5 stars): shrimp and fish tacos were awesome!!! So light, flavorful, and tasty. Love the slaw they are topped with. Skip the chicken, it’s overcooked and dry. The plate comes with three tacos and no sides. You can mix and match your tacos. Spa nachos(3⁄5 stars): a healthier spin on nachos! Covered with cheese, fried kale, and broccoli! I loved this concept and the kale was delicious, but the dish was a bit lacking. It needed more cheese and maybe some beans and the broccoli should’ve been shredded instead of huge pieces. Great idea overall and worth a try if you’re a nacho(and kale!) lover. Enchiladas, salad, and ceviche: not a fan. Salad over dressed and not fresh tasting, chicken in the enchiladas super dry, and the ceviche is a tasteless tuna tartare. AMBIANCE: Super cute! Very intricately decorated. They did a fantastic job with the space. SERVICE: Terrible. So difficult to order another drink or get our waters refilled. It wasn’t really the waitress’ fault. She was very sweet and was really trying, but they were way understaffed with two waiters for a full restaurant. Overall, there’s potential. We didn’t see the best side of Plata when we visited, but I wouldn’t mind trying again, especially to have some more of those delish margaritas!

The hubs and I love this place! Great margaritas and happy hour, food is reasonable and super tasty — ask for the hot salsa if you like it spicy! We also love their shrimp and asada tacos. Best tasting tortilla chips too! The service rocks, especially if you’re sitting at the bar — Rafael is THEMAN to see!!!
