Small portions, very expensive for what you get and most importantly the service was very, very slow. Chefs meat board: Not worth it all. 2 slices of paper thin meat and 2 slices of thin cheese. Bread: Tastes like water… not worth the carb intake. Penny Lane Pizza: One word– Tasteless Don’t waste your time and money. Looks are deceiving.

Cute place! This is a date place. Take someone you like here. If they like wine they will appreciate it. Food was great and the staff was very knowledgeable. I think they are a little too much into their 60’s beatles worship though.

A very different review for me to give about a restaurant. I was looking for a place to celebrate our 27th anniversary near where we were married, and read all the glowing reviews about the food. When we arrived, i was surprised how small the place was and the tables did not provide for an intimate experience. My wife wasn’t that stoked about the menu options and I felt bad about leaving, but it was a bad fit for the type of experience we were looking for. ITIS A SMALLWINETASTINGPLACEMORETHANITIS A RESTAURANT, IMHO. They do have outside tables, which is nice and the staff appeared to be quite friendly. I never did have any of the food, so I can’t rate that aspect of it. We ended up having an excellent meal at the Wood Ranch BBQ place nearby.

Wow, amaaazing food and wine Fab 4 pizza is must, get a bottle of wine and relax, as they do no not rush you. I suggest you sit at the end of the bar so you can watch them Cook and see all the spectacular dishes be made.

In the same outdoor mini-mall as Agoura Regency movie theater, Sushi Su, and Exotic Thai(and near Wood Ranch BBQ) — it’s a quaint and charming offering. I would describe it simply as a wine bar with food. Most every of the 12 or so tables dining had a bottle of wine placed atop. Space is limited, but they do have some counter seating for a less intimate experience. Wine per glass is pricey at $ 16-$ 18, but they do offer some house wines at $ 10 per. What goes well with wine? Well, meat with cheeses and crackers! They do a real plate. The menu is small, with half featuring pizza’s(6 or so) and the other half specialties like Fried Chicken and … What I have tried: ============== 1. Mary’s Organic Fried Chicken($ 18, 4.5 stars) — Incredible double DD size boneless chicken breast, beautiful fried, atop a combo of maple crème fraîche with corn and polenta. Truly excellent. 2. Because Pizza($ 16, 3.0 stars) — A chicken pesto pizza, and we had them add onion. Crust good, but boring otherwise. The pesto wasn’t your standard, with more basil and a taste of bitterness(like Cilantro), and no sign of parm, pine nuts, and/or garlic. What I didn’t like: ============== 1. Ventilation, or lack thereof. The smell of pork or sausage emanated, and that doesn’t mean a good one. So much so, where I would normally order sausage on pizza, I wanted anything but. 2. Service by the owners were generally nice, but were caught in a big fat lie when seating my gf and I. We were forced to sit at the counter cause they were full, but we made it clear we would like to move if a table opened up. We ordered and got our food. Then, a table opened up and when we started to make a move, we were caught and told a couple had a reservation. Disappointed, the gf later asked the couple if they had a reservation, and they did not… a walk-in. My gf and owners wife got into it. Not good, and it ruined the experience. Overall: ====== It’s got great energy, nearly an LA one. Loud and good music playing. Crowd skews older at 45+. I’ll be back to try again.

The only non chain restaurant worth a damn in the Conejo Valley! The food is impeccable. The pizzas are superb the dough is the best! I always order Mary’s Fried Chicken the sweet version is amazing so juicy and flavorful not greasy. Wine selection is full of unique finds you won’t find many other places. Always a good idea to make reservations as they book up on the weekends. The outside patio is great in the evening in the summer. Superb. Delicious. Can’t go wrong.

Amazing! From the location of this place you wouldn’t expect this restaurant to be so warm and inviting but it is. The décor is fantastic. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Service was fantastic. The food… wow! We tried three appetizers, a salad, and two entrees and all were delicious. Their wine, beer, and cider selections are vast, varied and great. Highly recommend this place. Will be back again and again!

What a great concept! Very sophisticated environment with great wine and amazing food. Went here to celebrate a friends 50th birthday and every single person had a blast. Throughout the entire night they kept bringing out tasting dishes of all kinds of amazing things. This would be a great place to come with another couple for a night out.

First I’m kicking myself for not coming here sooner! What a charming place! We’re not big wine drinkers, but if you are, this is the place! The food was amazing! The burrata with heirloom tomatoes was perfection! The fried chicken was delicious and not greasy at all! Can’t wait to go back!

Love the atmosphere of this place! I liked the decorations and the cork on the wall. The stools were made out of wine barrels and were so cute! There was plenty of parking, however the confusing thing about the place was people had a hard time finding the front door. Its set off to the side and not very distinguishable. I could see people walking around the place trying to figure out how to get in while were eating. Anyway, a few girlfriends and I arrived on a Friday night right as they were opening for happy hour. We were greeted and seated right away. There were so many great things on the menu it was hard to decide what we wanted to get but we finally settled on the cheese and meat board, and the honey pizza. Our cheese board had goat cheese, machego and blue cheese with some salami and prosciutto. I love machego cheese and couldn’t get enough! The pizza had sautéed onions, honey truffle oil and blue cheese bits with some arugula on top. I thought it was okay, I think I’ll try a different pizza next time though. Our server had a great sense of humor and knew the menu well, he even poured us a glass after happy hour ended and said not to worry, he’ll charge us the happy hour price since he knew the owner! hahahaha One of the chefs even came over and said not to hesitate to ask for anything we might need. What a great place to go to enjoy a nice glass of wine and some good food. Looking forward to coming back!

Another culinary experience worthy of almost religious ecstasy at Boar Dough — this one goes to the Duck Confit. Have had it all over the world, but Boar Dough wins the ultimate challenge. A juicy, moist, fat, perfectly crisped skin, hefty meaty duck leg, accompanied by a tiny ramekin of delicious sour cherry compote and a few crusts of substantial, chewy country bread… and a wonderful glass of Pinot — it’s enough to make you weak in the knees and skip dessert. Except you shouldn’t, because the Chocolate Pôt de Crème is silky, milky and very plentiful, served with a smile by the lovely Mrs. Joanne Bruchez, proprietress extraordinaire of this superb make-believe-you-are-somewhere-in-France intimate restaurant. Crazy that it’s in Agoura Hills, but all the better for us locals. Go and go again.

OMG unbelievable grilled Brussel Sprouts caramelized in aged balsamic, a sublime homemade Burrata salad, A truly superb Flat bread pizza cooked in the wood burning oven called the Penny lane /Sargent pepper, The chef board Charcuterie all home cured and scratch made along with wine flights. Beverly Hills you say, maybe the Westside or DTLA nope try Agoura Hills that restaurant mecca all housed inside a former Johnny Rockets… Rock solid 4 stars with elements 4.5 stars. Boar Dough is legit and truly a great find in a restaurant starved area mind you this isn’t eating but rather dining albeit in a casual but inviting setting. Whereas nearby Café 14 and Pearl District are more refined the food at Boar Dough is clearly done right with big bold innovative flavors with everything scratch made down to the bread with care and passion. The kitchen churns out some great food with a creative farm to table influence. The space is inviting, warm and comfortable. The restaurant is small and intimate yet casual with a nice vibe and food that rocks… Mind you this is in a strip mall next to a sushi bar and across from a movie theatre not exactly screaming romance or dining nirvana but the food transforms you albeit in Agoura Hills lol Put Boar Dough on your to do list as you venture West on the 101 freeway past Calabasas and those wretched pain in the ass Kardashian’s and hit this spot in fact after dinner walk about 100 yards to Tifa and grab some of the best homemade Gelato your lips will ever encounter… Take in a movie and make a day of it in Agoura Hills :-)

This place was a such a great find! I was impressed by how tasty their food were. The Caprese salad was amazing. I loved it! The Mozzarella was super fresh. Nothing better than having delicious mozzarella cheese melt in your mouth. It tasted so good with the freshly baked bread they served as well. We had also ordered a house made pizza and it was perfect. None of that overly seasoned, Americanized, fatty pizzas that we are all familiar with. Their pizza was balanced and didn’t make you feel bloated and«too full». The service was nice and it wasn’t crazy packed in there. The restaurant had an overall good vibe about it. I would definitely come back here.

I came in here solo before going to the movies to grab a glass of wine. No one greeted me and I sat down at the bar/counter where no one acknowledged me for the 5 minutes I sat there. A couple came in after me and was greeted and sat at a table and I heard them order wine, but apparently they don’t serve you if you’re solo and sit at the bar? I got up and walked out and no one tried to stop me or apologize. What a joke! I guess they like watching money walk out the door… Went next door for some sake where they greeted me as I walked in the door and served me right away!

Quaint little spot, good for date night. Good service. A little pricey. The happy hour menu left little to be desired: ½ off pizza is the only food special, $ 5 red or white house wines and $ 5 beers and red sangria. The regular wine list was impressive as well as the beer selection. For an appetizer we tried the bacon wrapped dates which came in a very small dish with 6 total dates. They were delicious but not worth $ 8. The shaved Brussels sprouts were good as well as the pizza(penny lane) For dessert we tried the peanut butter & jelly beignets which were served with a chocolate dipping sauce. Those were fantastic and worth every penny for all 6 that came on the plate. We tried to split the bill and were told we could only do 50 – 50. Not too happy about that either. Overall a pleasant experience. Hopefully they will add more items to the HH menu :)

For all of you amateurs in Agoura Hills trying so very hard to do the damn thing… maybe you need to step into the office at Boar Dough and take notes. These people here are straight dusting you! Suited up and ready to play ball! Don’t choke! –Freshly prepared varieties of bread to munch on while you wait for your food… –Great selection of cured meats and cheeses(salmon cured in-house) for the charcuterie/cheese boards… –Perfectly crispy throughout wood-fired oven pizzas with a nice balance of flavors and ingredients… –An outstanding selection of wines ranging from crazy affordable to baller status… –ANDTHOSEBOMBASSSWEET/SALTY/CHEESY BACONWRAPPEDDATESSTUFFEDWITHMANCHEGOCHEESE My head exploded. It was like watching a dance. Lovely accoutrements. Outstanding service. I can’t remember the last time life was this good. Oh wait… when Penny Hardaway and Shaquille O’Neal balled together. That’s when.
