Our waitress is nice and friendly. The place is wired displayed with filthy table and sticky chair the soup is the worst I had in 5 years. The only reason why I choose the place is to use the groupon I bought and I won’t suggest it to others.

Please read entirely as you will understand why I gave it 5 stars! 1. The wings are out of this world there bigger then most bars and smother with your favorite sauce. 2. This is a come as you’re bar nothing fancy not a date nite but just a hang out. 3. I’m not part of the staff or do I know anybody here I’m simply using the Unilocal coupon $ 20 for $ 10. 4. If you look in the area you will find most bars are the same except the wings are the best at JD Muggs On that note now you know what you’re getting into.

Saw a very professional and entertaining band there lat weekend called«Just Enuff». Had a great time dancing, drinking(great beer selection) and making new friends. It was a fairly typical bar but larger. It was nice that I could sit away from the band when I wanted to talk but could squeeze onto the dance floor when it was time to rock :) I will definitely be back!

We came here for drinks and apps a few weeks ago, and it was just fine. Despite the dilapidated look and funny name, we were met with friendly service and decent food. I didn’t drink, but our server was quick with the refills on my soda and had a great rapport with everyone at our table(a few of which were regulars). We ordered a veritable smörgåsbord of fried appetizers and they were all decent — my favorite being the deep fried rueben bites. I got a salad as an entrée and it was whatever, but that’s also my fault for ordering a salad at a bar :). I would come back to drink and hang out with friends if I were in the area.

My husbands band played here recently. There were specials written on the chalk board as you walked in. One of the the specials was a $ 2 Jim Beam honey shot, I ordered one but she said the board was wrong and so it wasn’t honored. I got the $ 3 shot special and it came in one of those tiny plastic shot cups(which isn’t a full shot) so this wasn’t much of a deal at all. The bartender/server recommended the Babe Ruth burger to my husband. She said people come from far and wide to have this. She described it as a burger cooked to order, wrapped in bacon, lightly breaded then fried. My husband ordered his medium. When he got it, it was very well done and dried out. He also mentioned that he was burping it up all night. At some point, the band was told that the bar decided not to charge a cover and would pay the band by head count, $ 2/head. At the end of the night they got $ 50 for 5 band members. That’s $ 10 each. Between my husband and I, we spent about $ 70. Other band members ate and drank too. The $ 10 they each got was barely even enough to pay for the gas to get there.

Food is above average and drink prices are fair. Wednesday nights for 50 cent wings are the standard go to. Standard townie bar, nothing overly special but the bartenders are friendly.

Only reason this place still exist is because of cheap $ Food looked gross… atmosphere bleh I wouldn’t even classify this as a dive bar iether lol so yeah I prolly won’t be stopping through here again… Can I do ¼ star rating ?? And actually the only good experience I got here was that the bartender was kind enough to tell me shes never tended bar before and still made good cocktails from instructions I gave her. Hope she finds a new place to work at.

This place was awful. Our waitress Jenny made 2 mistakes on two bills. Insisted I had not paid our bill(in cash) for my food order when I did. She was either cheating customers and or cheating the owners. I paid bill in cash, then left about 1:00AM. It was not until after I left that she told others at the table(cousins) that I still owed for my food. They thought I had paid, but she insisted I did not. What were they supposed to do, so they paid it. I will NEVER go to this place again. Also, she charged a couple at the same table twice for drinks. they paid for them in cash, then same drinks were put on a tab they had for a food purchase, and they had to ask for a revised bill. She apologized for the mistake. Really, two mistakes at one table… come on.

This place is ridiculous. I went a few months ago to see my friends’ band play. I was not expecting clean. I was not expecting quality. What I was expecting was some semblance of service. Maybe five people were there who didn’t come for the music. There were two bartenders, some kind of manager, and maybe a barback I never saw. When I first walked in, it took fifteen minutes to get a bottle of beer. The bartenders were mostly texting and chatting amongst themselves, avoiding eye contact. As the place started to fill up, it took longer and longer, and I didn’t drink nearly as much as I ordinarily would have on a night when I knew I wasn’t driving home. Some of the people I was there with worked at Brauerhouse down the street, and they were ready to jump behind the bar because it’s not that hard to open bottles and pour shots. The attempt to not sell anything might have been because something was wrong with their register. I started trying to pay with cash, but they couldn’t accept cash for some reason, so I started a tab. They said I couldn’t close the tab for a while because the credit card machine didn’t work either, and they were hoping to get it fixed. I don’t know if that ever happened that night, since I had to use one of those old fashioned carbon slider things at the end of the night. I also had to track someone down to give them my money for the door. The manager guy eventually started collecting, but not especially effectively. Bands beware, you may not be getting your money. I don’t think each band got more than about $ 20 dollars, and I know my friends’ band gave their cut to the touring band because they wouldn’t have had the gas to get to Michigan otherwise. The other issue was that the show didn’t start until the Blackhawks game was over. This wasn’t during the cup, I think they were in the semifinals or something. Like I said, there were only about five people there who didn’t come for the band, and since they weren’t selling us drinks, what they got were a lot of mostly sober people bitching about the wait. If they knew they weren’t going to let the show start until the game was over, why book it for 7:00PM? Even running on punk time, no one expects to wait three hours before the bands are even allowed to set up. They could easily have booked the show for 9:00PM and maybe they could have had their credit card machine fixed in the mean time. As for the show itself, I don’t know from PA systems. I usually don’t expect much from venues that book punk bands, but apparently the PA was even worse than usual as far as the bands were concerned. They made the best of it, though. I know other bands that have played here, and no one likes it. I guess this place is fine if you’re a regular and want to watch the game, but not if you want to drink or see the bands you may or may not have paid to see.

Studded leather jackets, loud punk music, and beer. That pretty much sums up my experience here a couple months ago — an experience that I would have been happy to find myself in during my college years but not really in my late twenties. I guess I’ve just changed. Anyway. My sister’s boyfriend is in a band and they played here one [late school/work] night as part of a showcase of several local bands. I had never heard of JD’s before, probably wouldn’t notice it if I drove by, and don’t plan to come back. My sister’s boyfriend’s band was actually kind of fun but that was all I enjoyed. JD Muggs is a typical dive bar. Smells like beer, sticky floors, furniture that no one cares about, a stage for local bands, free popcorn, and such. The bathrooms were surprisingly nice and clean. I have no idea how that happened. The menu was kind of expensive for bar food — my husband were hesitant to waste money on potentially terrible food. I ended up talking to a really nice waitress(dark hair and glasses) and ordered Saganaki with pita bread(one of the cheaper appetizers). It was actually pretty good, but needed a lot more pita because there was too much droopy cheese. Oh well — what did I expect? I didn’t even order anything to drink. This is the kind of place where the experience(rowdy concert, Sunday afternoon, chill evening, whatever) makes or breaks your opinion. My opinion? Meh…

Nothing fancy but its a pretty decent place to chill. They do have a good selection of bottled beer and the prices are no different than anywhere else. The atmosphere seems kind of relaxed. I can tell its a place for the regulars to go to as opposed to attracting new people.

If you want to experience a place that is managed horribly, then this is the place for you. Takes notes on how not to run a bar. Unfriendly doorhost, lack of cleanliness, television screens had snow(all of them), and puddles of urine under urinals(stained as if never mopped before). This is just what I saw after 2 minutes. I then left.

Ah, old jd muggs… I have been coming to this bar a lot longer than I’ll ever admit. I haven’t been here in probably a few years. My buddy has been texting me all week asking of we’re gonna make his band’s last show as they are ‘retiring’(which means one of the band members is moving out of state and the band is breaking up). My hubby and I have been sick for a few weeks and were both feeling a little better, so we decide that we’ll stop in to support our old friend and perhaps relive our youth a bit, even if only for an hour or two. We walk in to the old muggs but they have really cleaned the place up. They have been working on renovations of this bar over the past few years and it def shows. They had a plumbing issue years ago that gave the whole building an icky feel and smell but they have that all fixed up! Well done! After chatting with the owner, he tells me that they are now making handmade burgers in house and that we have to try one, so my hubby and I decide to split a burger. We go for the black jack burger and tater tots. Now, the tots are standard tot fare… but the burger is quite delicious! It’s got Cajun seasoning and Munster cheese(my fave) and is served with a little ramekin of remoulade mayo. The remoulade sauce added some extra kick to an already flavorful burger and came in handy for dipping those tots instead of boring old ketchup. The drinks are average price for the burbs. You’re looking at like $ 3 domestics and $ 5 mixed… my tall top shelf mixed drink ran me $ 6.75 each. They lost a star from me for one reason: the last drink I ordered tasted waaaaaaay too sweet and when they re-made it, they only had diet 7 which isn’t a huge deal but it was still pretty undesirable, so I didn’t drink it and it still was on the bill. Not a huge deal, but could have been handled differently. Overall, it’s a decent joint, they have some good food I wouldn’t mind having for lunch once and a while. With the industrial park across the street, I hope they are doing some decent lunch business. And if they aren’t, perhaps they will now!

Well, not exactly a Zion on the Hill, but it is a remotely solid place to grab a pint or two. I can’t comment on the food, but the service was awesome for the two bartenders serving ~50 people. Basically, if you’re in the area, you can’t do any wrong coming into this strip mall bar.

Went into JD Muggs, Still-N-Grill on a Weds night for Karokee with three friends. I ordered a bowl of Chilli because I was a little hungry. It was cheap $ 3.75 a bowl. The Chilli came and it was cold with what appeared to be old Cheddar Cheese on it. It was watery and reminded me of canned Chilli. The bar and grill advertises wings for 40 cents a wing. Not at good price at all. The establishment has a bar area, a dining area with a Karokee stage and small dance floor. There is also a pool table in that area. Karokee does not start until 9pm, which is too late, I feel. However on Weds drinks are only $ 2.00, well liquor or domestic beer. Not at bad price but seeing everything else is so bad one would have to get sauced just to stay there. As for the crowd, no comment. Not the best place to go in Addison, Illinois for food. Drinks —-OK.

This is perhaps the worse bar in chicagoland. It is always filthy especially the bathrooms, the food stinks and has smal small Tvs I don’t know how it survives for all these years. It is in a Mexican strip mall next to a Mexican laundrymat and Mexican grocer. I have only seen it packed on a wednesday. It is just a bad bad bar and living in addison I am embarssed it has survived for so long. This place should of shut down in 1980 which looks like the last time they remodeled the place. The Tv screens are so dam small. I go there once a year for a Chicago Bears game and really the screens surrounding the bar are smallll. They also pride themselves having jello wrestling once in a while.
