Had a late supper here our first night in Dallas/Addison. Very nice ambience, the staff/family/owners(not sure which) are extremely friendly & accommodating. We went in in what I felt was too casual for their environment, but they insisted we were fine & sat us at a table right near the kitchen. As I was sitting down my purse bumped a large ceramic vase & knocked it to the floor. I was seriously embarrassed & apologetic, they were very gracious in reassuring me it was fine & even jokingly told me, «they hated that case anyhow.» We ordered the crab fingers & caprese and a variety of main course, desserts, drinks, cappuccino and espresso! Every bite was perfectly prepared & melt in your mouth flavorful! The portion size is generous without being overwhelming. With all the apps, meals, desserts & drinks it was still nicely priced for 5 people!

My husband & I were looking forward to last Saturday’s dinner at Andiamo’s. For years it has always been one of the few restaurants on Beltline with consistently good food and service. Everything appeared«norman» until we sat for 10 minutes with no offer for drinks. I finally got the hostess’s attention(thinking where’s the owner Mike Azad?) and asked if we could get something to drink. She obliged and brought them. I noticed their appeared to be only two waiters working the entire room. I asked the hostess where Mike was and she told us he sold several months ago and a husband & wife and purchased it, she also mentioned the wife was a professional chef. Apparently the kitchen could have used her Saturday night. The hostess told us about the special’s of the night, which in the past had always been the best. She highly recommended the 10oz rib eye. We both(unfortunately) ordered it. When it finally came, it was warm. On the other hand the roasted new potatoes would burn the roof of your mouth. The three asparagus spears were ok. In-between the fat & grizzle we found a few bites of meat. My husband wanted to send it back but I said all they will do is offer another one or another entrée. All we wanted at this point was out. The waitress took our plates away and never even mentioned the fact neither entrée had barely been touched! I wish the new owners luck — from our experience Saturday evening — they will need it!

If you’re not Italian, never been to Italy, or never even watched giada di laureates or Mario battali you really have no reasonable expectation that the food. Likely made by local. Usually excellent chefs from Mexico. Is going to be any good. Very disappointed with just about everything. The fried calamari were tasteless. The mussels were not PEI, and they were not fresh tasting ’ tasted either overcooked or something. They were kind of gummy and tiny. The linguine alle vongole, was bland and hardly any clams. I’m not convinced the weren’t from a can either. The red sauce on the mussels was good, but it couldn’t save them! The owners were nice but I think they’re a bit deluded. They talked about improving the aesthetics, but I would prefer they spend money on improving the quality of the good. If you have that you Font need the old, zagat rated decals on the door —-what did they rate you anyway? Overpriced for very inferior quality. I would actually have preferred the olive garden across the street. At least the price point is better and frankly so are the calimari. Please visit naples or milan or make your own people’s food. This wasn’t really italian

I went here on a limb. I have to say I was very pleased with the service and the atmosphere! After quite a day,. I was able to take a step away from the busy city life and enjoy a home style Italian dinner. The salmon pasta I ordered was just right. I definitely will be telling my friends about this gem! Ask for Mo as your waiter he is all that and more!

Was looking for old school Italian for take out and wasn’t sure what to expect since I had never been before and was going on Unilocal reviews. Its like the place dropped out of a New York neighborhood. You know like the kind of place where they remember your name and everyone knows everyone. I went with traditional orders or spaghetti and meatballs and a meatball sandwich. DELICIOUS! hey if you cant get these right don’t call yourself and Italian restaurant. Well the two entrees reminded me of grandma’s house. Cant wait to go back and have dinner there and become part of the«family»!

The wine selection by the glass was great. The pasta was cooked just right(not over cooked). The Tomato, Onion and Gorgonzola Salad was very good. Staff are very friendly and make an effort to show appreciation for your business. Nice restaurant with a good ambience.

Right off of Belt Line in Addison, and worth the trip. Romantic ambiance on the weeknight we ate here. Plenty of offerings on the menu to satisfy any Italian cravings. From apps to wines, a beat isn’t missed. No pizza, but this would only take away from the authenticity. Great service. The manager, Mo, runs a nice restaurant. Highly recommended!

The first time we came here we immediately felt comfortable. The staff is so welcoming. Each time we have been back we never order the same menu item and we love everything!!! Exploring the authentic menu and not being disappointed is so rare. The pricing is similar to macaroni grill and the taste is so much better. Shrimp scampi is amazing Lasagna is delicious The list goes on…

Accidentally stumble upon this place one evening with my boyfriend so we thought we’d try it out. I’ve never had such amazing service! our waitress was VERY attentive yet not annoying at all. the wine was excellent and the food was to die for. towards the end of our dinner the manager came out to see how our first experience was which i thought was very sweet. I tell everyone about this place now!

I came here because of the high reviews, but I wasn’t impressed at all. The calamari was good, the meal not so much… it was just so so so salty. My gf had pasta with white sauce(sorry don’t remember the name) and scallops and clams. I had the veal marsala. We both came away disappointed. The service was above average, not great, but the food… I just can’t get over how salty it was. Not worth it for the price in my opinion, and it’s in Addison, the restaurant capital of the world, there are plenty of superior options for that price range.

My fiancé and I tried this place out and were very unimpressed. We are big fans of Italian food and have tried all sorts of dishes from great Italian places all across the country. That being said, this place was very«blah». The food was somewhat bland, and didn’t stand out at all in anyway. Honestly, Olive Garden tastes about as good. It wasn’t terrible, there just were not any redeeming qualities to anything we had. The interior is dull and seems very dated, and the crowd was older and a little weird. If you are looking for a romantic spot to take a date, I wouldn’t suggest here.

This is my first time at this restaurant and it was wonderful. The people were warm, friendly, and very good at their jobs. They even have a nice lady whose job is to keep your drinks filled. We never even came close to running out of iced tea. Our waitress was great and suggested the split pea soup for starters. It was wonderful! The food that we ordered was brought to out table quickly and hot. That is something so many restaurants cannot seem to do anymore. The restaurant was small by today’s standards but it was spotlessly clean with a warm ambiance. It reminded me of Italian restaurants from my childhood. With polished wood everywhere and comfortable seating. I will be making the trip back soon!

I had the«Sole Andiamo,» thinking that a dish named after the restaurant probably would be a winner. Nothing on the menu warned me that this is a battered and fried fish, with a soggy crust thanks to being doused in some sort of cream-based sauce that was pretty tasteless. In fact, the star of the dish was a pile of angel hair and tomato sauce on the side. I ordered a glass of wine that I had had many times before elsewhere — either they are marketing one bottle and pouring a quite different bottle in the kitchen, or that bottle had been open for too long. It was a pretty darn boring glass of wine, and that has not been my experience with that particular vineyard and varietal in the past. The décor is a bit dated… verging on grandmotherly, which fit with the clientele.

I’ve been here twice on dates. It’s not a bad place, nothing fancy, fancy. This seems like more of a place to take someone you have been out with a few times, or a wife. Food may be a bit above average. Price is just a tad high. My service wasn’t bad both times. It is in a strip mall and one could pass it up easily. it’s also small. If it were busy or I saw people standing, waiting to be seated, I wouldn’t wait. It’s not a bad place — it’s good — not first date good.

This is an in assuming little restaurant tucked in behind a gas station in a strip mall. But hey it’s been their forever and the locals seen to love it. Has that old Italy feel inside with great food choices. I hand the meatballs and was very happy with the spicy offering.
