Our annual girls’ tea out after the holidays found us at the Inn at Buckeystown. What a pretty drive up Rt. 28. We arrived and were the only ones there. But, the wafting of something good baking in the oven reeled us in. We were able to seat ourselves at any table(being that it was empty) and chose the music room with the fireplace.(It was a bit drafty in these old B&B’s). We never really quite warmed up. The food was really good. They started us off with chicken noodle soup, which was good and needed since we were a little chilled. The teas that were offered were all so delish. The tea sandwiches were tasty, but my favorite was the cinnamon scones! Slightly warm, soft in the middle and a little crusty on the outside. PERFECTION! I didn’t care for the mini-cupcake, which was chocolate… a tad on the dry side for my taste buds. All in all, it was a day to spend with my two dear friends, doing what we like to do after the holidays, catching up with each other and eating.
