There are enough interesting things inside, but everything I liked was 2 – 3 times more expensive than I would have guessed.

A friend & I shopped along half of Rt272 last week; will have to go back and finish the other shops we missed. This is one of the nicest antique shops along that road, one that is truly all antiques and not part flea market/dollar store bric-à-brac with a little antique thrown in. The shop is very attractive, clean and well-staffed. I bought 3 three items and felt the prices were very fair for what I got. Most of the smalls were locked up in glass cases and staff were discreetly following us around with keys. While I’m not a fan of being followed the entire time I’m in a shop, I do understand the multiple reasons for doing so. They at least did it in an inconspicuous manner so we didn’t feel like we were suspected of shoplifting, which is the way many of the other shops made us feel. The main reason for this trip was to see the Mad Hatter Antique Mall and that was a little disappointing. Was very happy to have found General Heath’s.
