First and last time I will ever go here. Service was ridiculously slow. Only ordered a couple shakes. There’s no reason other than laziness and poor management that shakes should take over 30 minutes! Don’t waste your time — go somewhere else.

HORRIBLE!!! We had went through the drive thru one night, I ordered a Royale Burger and asked for the egg to be a little more raw because sometimes I get it and it’s over cooked. I guess they thought it was funny to put an actual RAW, and CRACKED egg in a separate container, and then proceed to not put an actual egg on my burger. Not a funny prank to play on a customer. Will be contacting a higher rank, and they have lost me as a customer and anyone else I can keep from giving this place business. They obviously don’t take customer service seriously.

OK guys, stay with me on this one for a minute. Does Steak-n-Shake have the best burgers, no, they don’t. Do they have great service? Come-on, really? What they do have is real meat and not some derivative of the meat family like most fast-food restaurants. I can get a freshly made to order, triple-cheeseburger(no fries, no drink) for under $ 5 and that’s with taxes included. When I’m on the move and don’t have time to lollygag, I can still get a good dose of protein for under $ 5; are you kidding me — that’s awesome! I’ve rated 5-Guys(very good) or Burger-Fi(outstanding!) but when I need cheeseburger NOW and time is not on my side, I stop at the Steak-n-Shake drive thru. Note: I give the burgers 4-Stars and their malts too!

Worst service. All the tables were dirty. Ordered our food and drinks 30 minutes ago and still haven’t even gotten water, let alone our milkshakes. You have a better chance getting your food from the drive thru and then bringing it in to sit down and eat. Even so, the drive thru takes about 20 minutes to even get your food. Takes away the most important part of «fast food». This place is a joke and you’d just be better off not even eating here.

I’m someone who loves Steak ‘n Shake from the greasy burgers and thin french fries — but I would NOT recommend this place. You would be better off driving twenty minutes down the road to the location in Kennesaw. When we were seated, the person seating to us barely said anything. He said, «how many?» and then walked away. We assumed he wanted us to follow him, so we did and he put our menus down and walked away again. It was strange especially because he was wearing manager gear so I would think he would be overly friendly. I have now been here twice where I had to wait an ungodly amount of time. I am willing to wait some because I know that a lot goes on in the food industry, BUT not all of our food got to the table at the same time. After we finished eating, I ordered a small shake… 30MINUTES. It was a joke. The building was only half full, so it wasn’t like they could be overwhelmed with a line out the door. I kept asking my waitress where the food was and she kept saying it was coming. It took me(at the 30 minute mark) going to the waiter area telling them to give it to me or take it off my receipt. It was suddenly ready. The fries were WAY too salty and the person with me asked for extra sauce on the side in addition to that on her melt and they ONLY brought sauce on the side. My son’s mac and cheese was cold in the middle and hot on the outside — so most likely was just microwaved. I was able to stir it and it didn’t matter to him, but it was just another thing that wasn’t quite right. I haven’t had a pleasant experience here the last few times I was here. I will not be coming back. I would rather go somewhere else or drive to the location in Kennesaw. To put a cherry on top — as we’re leaving, we see comment cards and someone wrote«SLOW», which was hilarious and couldn’t be more true.

I’m here at least once a month. The food is usually inconsistent, service is decent, but tonight was the WORST. We were seated quickly, and greeted by our waitress, Marybeth. The food was brought out to us in a timely, but off she went in a rush. I asked for napkins after and she brought the table only 3, then in a hurry she took off. Then when it was time for a refill it took 5 minutes! Either needs better employees or better management.

I usually am the one that can find something positive in anything and I have normally received pretty decent service at this location, however tonight was one of the worst food/service experiences thus far. First thing we were sat at a table that had not been wiped down, there were still crumbs and cup stains all over the table. Second our waitress had come by to take our order and then came back by shortly after to retake our order and write it down because I guess she forgot. Next our subpar food(soggy fries) came, however I had call them back over because they forgot my husband’s chilli. They bring over our chilli begin to leave and we had to call them back to let them know they forgot the crackers that were supposed to come with it. The chilli unfortunately was awful, and it’s usually one of my husband’s favorites I gave up on receiving silverware and just went and retrieved it myself. To top everything off even after writing down our order I never received my milkshake, but I never bothered bringing it up, because I was just thankful I wasn’t charged and left as quickly as we could! Overall worst experience of my life.

We waited over an hour after being seated and still had not received our food. The manager made only one appearance in the dining room in the whole time we were there and that was at the request of another table. All tables around us had been there longer and still waiting as well. When another table asked to see the manager he sent another waitress over who had no idea what to do with the complaints and stated the manager was having issues in the drive through. Most all of the staff was standing around and there was no hustle from anyone except one waitress that was seating people and running around working hard. This location is typically bad but we always try again and this time we will not be back again.

My wife and I went back for an annual test to see if this sad outpost of a formerly great American burger chain has gotten any better since my previous visit nine months ago. Sadly, it has not. We ordered two simple meals — a steak burger with fries and a spicy chicken sandwich with onion rings. They came out with the sides mixed — the server had it correct on the ticket, so the cook messed up. Then, I had to remove the tomato on my sandwich as inedible. A food critic once complained about restaurant tomato quality, calling them pink cotton. My tomato wouldn’t even aspire to that low level. It was more like white wool. I shared a photo I took of it. Keep in mind that this is mid-Spring in Atlanta. Local grocery store tomatoes are much, much better. Bean counter collateral damage? The fries were barely warm. This was while the place had maybe five tables busy at dinner time. I noticed that their old slogan«In Sight, It Must Be Right», isn’t posted any more. The quality has suffered considerably since the old days. Perhaps I’ll try them again in 2016. While there, I overheard a server tell another table that they were out of the pepper jack cheese while a poor grandpa there with a hungry, antsy three year old finally had words with the server, having been seated and ordered before we got there, but not served until after we ate. Pathetic. Executive management should think about getting the menu back to basics, train the staff and focus on getting employees to do their jobs right. Fifty milkshakes and twenty types of poorly prepared and misassembled burgers don’t compare to the old school limited menu, properly prepared.

As I sit here patiently waiting for my food, AGAIN, I wonder why I do this to myself. It’s been an hour since I walked in the door and the place is only half full. The wait staff is average at best, the management inept, and the kitchen apparently non-existant. Food is generally good, but patience is a virtue at this joint. In a word, this experience is PAINFUL! Good luck with yours.

I really don’t even believe this restaurant should get one star. I would never eat here again. our service was so unbelievably terrible(as a server myself) I couldn’t stay in there another minute. we sat our selves after being ignored forever at the door, and then the server was very abrupt and had an «I’m in a rush«attitude when we were the only people in there. we all ordered shakes and food. food came 45 minutes later along with no silverware OR napkins. All of our drinks were empty as we were waiting for our shakes. she brings us our check before the shakes as we are completely done with our meal and says«oh your shakes I’ll be right back» we pay and leave and she comes out to our table with the shakes and we are our in our cars so she hands them to another table. WORSTSERVICEEVERNEVERGOINGBACK. and don’t get me started on the«managemenf«if you’d even call them that.

Late night hamburgers and fries for dine in that is cheaper than fast food. You can get coupons in local papers or even ask the servers for a coupon offering a free drink lowering the cost of a meal by another 1.75 Tough to beat in a 24 hr joint in Acworth.

Reading the other reviews, I can understand that they may have had bad experiences. But my review is based on a truly great experience. Our server, Jennifer, was great! The food was delicious and the shakes were the very best. Two meals and two shakes for only $ 12 is a bargain. We received really good food and really great service. J&J

So stinking good! Always fresh and always made to order correctly. Sadly they are open 24 hours so when I get a 1am craving for a cheeseburger I can act upon it(and stay overweight). Haha. French fries aren’t that good but everything else is.

I have been to this Steak N Shake twice now and will never go back. The first time the food was average Steak N Shake food(in my opinion good when the mood strikes but not worth going out of my way for), the service was on the low end of average, and my shake tasted like soap. On my second and last attempt to eat here I was completely ignored. Walked in and stood by the«Please wait to be seated» sign for almost ten minutes. There were two waitresses sitting at the counter talking on their cell phones and a manager at the cash register checking receipts. There was only one table that had customers seated. After about ten minutes I approached the manager and asked if I could just take a seat at any table, only to have him look up from the receipts and make an annoyed sound. He then went back to his receipts and ignored me. I was unable to catch his name, however, he was a skinny older guy with glasses. Never had a problem at the Barrett PKWY location but live a lot closer to this location. Sad, but looks like Steak N Shake lost a customer. Plenty of other places are glad to take my money!

Wow. Customer service is exceptionally poor here & this from the manager too! We wandered in here on our way home for the half-price happy hour shakes. We stood at the counter for several minutes while the manager discussed something with his employees. When they finally came to take our order, we were informed that it was now 4:03pm & happy hour was over. I explained that we’d been kept waiting & perhaps its was actually prior to 4pm when we were ready to place our order. Manager was called over & explained that the register wouldn’t allow them to do half price after 4pm. Oh yeah, right buddy. Still got shakes, I have no idea why. Horrible texture, with no apparent flavor besides sugar. Keep your expectations low & perhaps you won’t be disappointed. Or save yourself the headache & don’t go at all.

Foolishly excited for ½ off milkshakes, I volunteered to go to Steak n Shake for the office girls to pick up 4 shakes. I get my shakes and half way down the road, I notice a steady milky stream running down my black leather car chair. Upon lifting the car carrier I realize EVERY cup has a slit at the bottom where they mixed the milkshake. They claim they mix the shakes in a metal cup before emptying in to their styrofoam cup, but that is not the case-see my picture! I not only have melted ice cream in my leather seat and new car but ice cream is all over me, the office floor and the carpet leading to the bathroom. When I called to complain, I was told to come and get more milkshakes. Are you kidding? I am wet for all the wrong reasons, my car is a milky mess and I am WEARING4 milk shakes! Never again.
