Nice burgers, hot-dogs and shakes! What more can you ask for!

This is the slowest, most unmanaged, Johnny Rockets I’ve ever been to. I can’t wait 20 minutes for a hamburger at lunch. I’ve been here about ten times in two years. Once the wait staff notices you they are friendly and helpful, but somehow it takes a lot of effort and delay until someone realizes you need something. Food always takes a LONG time. Can they add a cook?

I like this location out of the ones I have visited mostly because they have fried pickles. This is our go to spot when we are traveling out west on Route 2. The fried pickles are ok but I really like their fries better. I have had better burgers but I have also have had worse — this location is solid and never disappoints. I have also had the tuna melt which is passable but the BLT was very good. It should go without saying that their shakes are pretty darn good and the main reason we keep coming back.

Went here with a buddy for a quick lunch as we were at a seminar. That wasn’t the case. The food took forever to cook. And we basically devoured what we could before rushing out the door back to our seminar. The health inspector needs to take a look at this place as it was a complete mess. The floors, tables, and counter tops were filthy, and I can’t believe we ate off a grill that looks as though it hasn’t been cleaned in quite awhile. Shame on us for eating here. I contacted them via Twitter and was told to email them which I did & never heard back. You got our money and that’s all that matters to them. You’re place is a PIT!

Ordered the chili-dogs. Everything was cold. No heat lamp in kitchen. Cold chili. Barely grilled buns. Huge disappointment. Server was gracious but did not offer to take anything off our bill which is probably corporate policy. Don’t bother with the jukebox. You won’t hear above the din. Wish we had gone to Five Guys.

I got to Johnny rockets a little after 12, sign said wait to be seated then a server yells sit wherever you want. My nephew and I got a seat then waited over 5 mins for a menu, a little bit after that our order was taken. Food was served fairly quickly I had a burger nephew mini dogs off kids menu, and we both had shakes. Restaurant was fairly busy with only two servers, when waitress finally came back I got the bill.. i went to checkout to pay bill and waited 15 mins to be acknowledged this is not okay, male server kept looking at me and said nothing, finally our waitress came to ring us up, good thing I am honest as I could have walked out and no one would notice. I honestly think this space is cursed as when it was Friendly’s it was slow too, i am in no hurry to go back

Yikes. Clearly under staffed. Been sitting here for 45 minutes and no one has cleared these tables(5 in a row) Had to ask for my water 3 times.

Best shakes in town. I always go for the vanilla shake and burger. Fries are extra which is annoying but they are hot and delicious. The staff is pleasant and fast and I love the 50’s music to seal the deal

Three is more appropriate — Four maybe pushing it BUT if your looking for a good solid old school burgers, fries and shakes this is your place in the area. It’s got that 50⁄60 era decorations with the counter seats and the juke boxes in the booths so it’s a «fun» place to eat. The shakes really are GOOD(Peanut Butter and Chocolate is one of my favs) and they do chili cheese fries so how can a place be bad if they serve chili cheese fries?! Burgers are greasy and tasty, onion rings are frozen so u be the judge = me not so much.

Definitely underwhelmed to say the least. The service was ok, but the food was mediocre at best. The milkshakes tasted like chalk with a slight amount of sugar mixed in. We were one of only 3 or 4 tables in the whole restaurant on a Thursday night at 6:30 pm, so that was the first indication something wasn’t right. Also way too expensive for sub par food that more or less tasted like fast food, and I’ve had better fast food than this.

Went to a museum and needed a quick place to eat with my kids, figured a burger place was a safe bet. Wrong! First off, walked in and there was a sign saying to wait to be seated. So we waited for about 20 minutes, and no one addressed us, or any of the other customers waiting to be seated. They only acknowledged that there were multiple families waiting to be seated when a group of teenagers who were friends with one of the employees came in. That group of teenagers was going to be seated when we spoke up that we had been waiting before they even walked in. After waiting another 15⁄20 minutes we finally got a table. No one offered us menus or drinks, we had to get up and find our own menus, they were left on the counter. After about 10 minutes someone finally came and took our drink orders. Another 10 minutes and they took our food orders. They brought out one order of fries and said that the rest of our food would be out soon. They came back about 10 minutes later and said that they lost our slip and had just found it, so none of the food had begun to be made yet, but they would begin cooking it. Finally we eventually got our food. We ordered two burgers, an order of fries and two kids meals. After we ate, they brought the check. While I was reviewing the check I noticed that the items were not correct. The waitress noticed me looking at the check and asked if she gave me the wrong one. She then explained that she had given our check to another party and that the check she gave us is their check. She then said that since the bills were almost the same we should just pay what our bill should have been and it will all even out. The entire time we were waiting and eating none of the staff members seemed to know what they were doing. Tables were not cleaned off in a timely manner. The two tables next to us were dirty the entire time we were eating. The cooking area is exposed and we saw people fumbling with items and they dropped some pans and utensils once while cooking. Overall the customer service was awful and none of the employees seemed to care a lick about actually getting orders right or doing anything in a timely manner. I was very disappointed with the service and considered asking for a manager, but looking at the employees there appeared to be no one running the show, everyone seemed equally incompetent.

Ordered a route 66 and 2 smokehouse singles to go. Burgers came out burnt and dry with no sauce at all. Food sucked but the service was good. Won’t go back.

Just your average Johnny Rockets, nothing fancy or different. The burgers, fries, onion rings, and shakes are solid.

I’ve been here once. The atmosphere was pretty cute, looks like a retro diner. Most of the waiting staff was quite friendly. It was kind of empty, probably since it was a work night. The cheese fries I ordered were downright awful. The fries were incredibly hard and bland, and the cheese looked as if it had been microwaved onto my fries. I only ended up eating half of them because I was starving when I got to the joint. I wasn’t expecting my Houston burger to be much better, but I was wrong, and pleasantly so. The burger wasn’t dry, and it had a good flavor. Not the best burger I’ve ever had(that trophy goes to Shake Shack). The experience was good, overall.

My update is this: It as been over a year & I still don’t go to this place & have no desire to go this place. Actually, hoping they leave so a good restaurant can take the space.

It’s a burger joint. And I like it. Two meals at a price that would be barely more than appetizers at some places; the price is right if you simply want to get out for cheap eats. My wife enjoys the Club Salad; large and fresh with chicken. I’ve had a couple of different burgers. Nothing extraordinary, but quite tasty – and not dry. The bill with one beverage was about $ 17. Service was prompt and friendly. The place has an interesting vibe; music is fun if a shade loud. We’ll be back.

Very average. This place is touted as a classic 1950’s burger chain. In this day and age, the competition is brutal. We are undergoing a burger renaissance in terms of quality, look at 5 Guys, Look at B. Good, Look at UBurger, Look at In-and-Out. The consumer nowadays demands fresh, never frozen, ingredients that are cooked to order. Not Johnny Rockets, the ingredients all appeared to be flash frozen, industrial type ingredients trucked right in from Sysco. For example the French fries were a frozen Cain’s brand that I could have just bought at Stop & Shop and put in the microwave. Ok, so they can’t compete on food. Can they compete on atmosphere? Selling the 1950’s nostalgia with linoleum, tiles, and a jukebox? I’ll give them some points for at least trying in that area. I didn’t get to test and see if the jukebox was actually real or just décor. Service was fine.

I have two reviews to this. As far as the server(Sam) and the atmospher, we went in(4adults) and seated ourselves, as my parents had been there before and knew to do so. It was slow at 5pm so we were seated and approached by our server quickly. His services was great. He seemed shy, but since we are not, he warmed up to our humor quickly and joined in with our conversation quickly. We got our waters quickly. We got our shakes(which are delicious) within 10 min. The music was fun, but for being a quieter time, crowd wise, it was a little loud. Food. My mom liked her veggie burger, my dad liked his pulled pork, my husband liked his burger with a good amount of bacon on it, but for me. for a 6 $ burger(sides are extra) it was a dry burger and obviously frozen pattie. Not what I expected for the price. I thought it would be a real burger like other«Burger Places) the mushrooms and swiss were good, but the burger was lacking. But the most amazing thing. the sweet potatoe fries. THEYAREAMAZING. not like any other i have had. They’ve got something with the fries. So my rating is for the burger, because it needs improvement for the price. but our service was great. Nice job Sam.

Went on what I thought would be a slow Tuesday evening — and it was. Both in foot traffic and in service… Ordered shakes to start… and waited… waited some more. Eventually the server came back and told us the shake machine had broken and they’d be out shortly. They eventually arrived about 10 minutes later, 5 minutes after the food had gotten to the table. Oh, and the shakes weren’t the ones we’d ordered… good stuff. And the food — nothing to write home about at best. The wife’s Chef Salad had a lovely pool of water at the bottom of the bowl. Thanks for washing the lettuce, guys… helps to dry it as well. My burger was cooked to a crisp… well done is well done, but burned is burned. Add to that the 15 minutes we waited to get the check… and the fact that the waiter absently told me to sign the receipt without giving me a pen to actually do so… and it’s safe to say that we won’t be back. Avoid.

Shakes are good. Fries are nothing to get excited about. Burgers are a waste of your time. Went during a crowded lunch, and the burgers were way overcooked to the point of flavorlessness. Service folks tried hard, and they deserved the good tip that we left them, but the food betrayed them.
