While appreciating that everyone’s experience is often different and wishing each family the very best experience at GAB, because of what my son and I experienced first hand that very negatively affected him, it was important to hold GAB accountable for what they did. Like many children, my son was having difficulties with separation anxiety and we had made arrangements before agreeing to signing up with GAB that one of his parents would be staying close by him to reassure him and to slowly and effectively pull ourselves away more and more. Despite this agreement and the many times that this was honored, an instructor other than the one instructing my son’s group came up to me and insisted that I leave the area without delay, despite my clearly explaining the reason I was there, the agreement made before we signed him up, and that I was always most considerate to be well out of the way and as incognito as possible. When my son saw that I was not there he was clearly disturbed and very distracted. Despite this his instructor chose to put him on an activity that he then was not able to concentrate on and got hurt before I was able to gather our affairs and leave the facility entirely. She tried to comfort him but he pushed away from her and came to me for reassurance. This was all very clearly brought to the attention of the manager(and as I understand, soon to be new owner). His follow up and reply was far less than acceptable and my son simply never wanted to do gymnastics again, anywhere. Fortunately, largely due to the deep trust established by his parents, he was able to be very successful and, ironically, has been far less dependent since starting at a new gymnastics place(not GAB). We find the attitude and response of GAB to be entirely unacceptable and unfortunate. As stated above, I wish your family every success should you be in or choose GAB, we simply have absolutely no interest to return and find their ways quite disturbing and entirely different from our new gymnastics place(the new place is far more open, plenty of parking, and yes, completely sensitive and effectively considerate and supportive of our son without pretentiousness). We could not be more happy to have moved out of GAB and chosen a far better alternative for our son who now LOVES gymnastics.

GAB and their staff are wonderful! They even allow kids to same classes before signing up and paying! They truly want kids to feel successful and enjoy what they’re doing. Staff are courteous and friendly and work well with all different kinds of children. Parking on the weekends is tough(as us moving through the busy, packed lobby), so give yourself plenty of time to find a spot and get ready for class.

We still love GAB! We have been with Mary, Tracy and Leah. All FANTASTIC and energetic! My son has a tendency not to focus and they really work with him to keep him centered. Cory the Office Mgr. is amazing. Always upbeat and positive, she works hard to accomodate makeup classes etc. We did the summer camp here and there this past summer. My son totally enjoyed it. :)
