After three bridal makeup trials in NJ for my Jersey City wedding, I had no hesitation going with Anita Shah. She was a consummate professional and is very confident in her skills.
For my Friday night sangeet, I wanted to go with a brighter, more «fun» look and this translated to a gorgeous side up-​do and makeup that was fun without going overboard.
For my traditional South Indian style wedding, she was able to transform me into a Tamil bride flawlessly, and during my trial demonstrated a knowledge of the hair ornaments and jewelry that went into this that was reassuring, as I was definitely out of my element. She also did a fantastic job with my bridesmaids and relatives, and had more than enough help on hand to make sure everyone was styled in a timely fashion.
For my reception, she was able to dramatically change my look and again, coordinated all colors and styles seamlessly.
I would highly recommend Anita as your hair and makeup artist for Indian weddings. She got along very well with my entire family and bridal party and put me at ease. The photographs and endless complements speak for themselves!
