Stopped for lunch today and have to say this will be our one and only trip. The ribs need several things:(1) remove the membrane from the backside,(2) a seasoned rub the night before and(3) leave them in the smoker until tender. The ribs were tough to the point of difficult to get off the bones and chew. They do not have a child’s plate of any kind. The sides were nothing special and the coconut cream pie was terrible. Overall I would have given zero stars had Unilocal allowed.

Friendly service clean restroom. The brisket was very dry and no flavor. The ribs were moist but very little flavor. I prefer bbque that does not require sauce to be added so the meat has flavor. The sides were served cafeteria style. They had a large selection but the food has no flavor. It’s too bad because the people are very nice. We not will return. We will continue on the I-35 and wait for something better.

We have driven by this restaurant for over a month and couldn’t wait to try it. Well, it was meh. We’ve had better and worse. We were quite surprised to find it was cafeteria style, not our preference. The sides were definitely cafeteria quality with the exception of the parsley potatoes, they were great! My husband had the jalapeño sausage, brisket and ribs. He enjoyed them, but they weren’t anything special. I had the turkey which was quite moist and tasted fine. With all of the great barbecue in Texas, we will go elsewhere next time. It wasn’t worth a return visit.

Been here for years. Love the selection and the sides are wonderful. I love their baked beans. and the ham is wonderful. In the past the smoked chicken was always yummy. But this time got a mixed plate of smoked turkey, ham and brisket. All were yummy. Also save room for the deserts… They are open late and worth the stop.

Great stopping point. I had the large plate and it was just right. Brisket and sausage was just about as good as you can make it. Service was excellent.

Great location… great food… fantastic and friendly staff! I had the turkey and brisket that melted in my mouth! Their ocra was very good and their bbq sauce was phenomenal! My boss had their jalapeño sausage and the brisket. Our plates were completely cleaned off! Also had the sugar cookies and they had plenty of other sweets to choose from! Stop there if you’re driving by!

Great BBQ! Loved the turkey and BBQ sauces. I enjoyed the toasted bread. Very good homemade chocolate chip cookies. Very clean and organized! I would definitely visit again

Was in the way home from BSR Waterpark and was wanting some bbq. It has a quaint small town family feel and a slow down country atmosphere. However, the food was pretty so so. Now granted I did order the Ham sandwich but I just wasn’t impressed with the sandwich or the sides. The workers are friendly, the food just wasn’t great.

Very clean, reasonable in price and friendly staff! Def would stop in again if traveling along 35. Their sides and desserts are homemade; beans are awesome… try the jalapeño beans! Yum!!!

First if you are on I35 this is the easiest place to get to, it’s on the access road so that is real nice. The place is very clean, very friendly and open on Sunday’s. I basically hit every BBQ joint between Round Rock and here along I35 on a Sunday and they were all closed. The food is good, spicy sauce is spicy which I like. I will go back if I’m driving this way anytime.

Decent bbq place. The sliced brisket was good, they needed a bit more time to be smoked in order to soften them. The wife had the ribs, they were good. The bbq sauce is mild and hot. The mild sauce is what i had. I did taste the hot, it had a kick to it. Overall, i would come back here and bring the family.

Not too bad a place while on the road. Makes getting a decent meal with a decent price a reality. Not big on frills and not too big on chit chat. These people give you what you want at a very reasonable price. One caveat is that the place is incredibly clean, they had an employee that was continuously cleaning just about every surface in, and outside, the business.

It’s ok and would suffice if you are hungry and cannot wait for something else. Meat servings were a little fatty. Sauce nothing special. Peach cobbler good.
