Picked this place basically since it wasn’t a tapas place… and at that point in my trip I just needed something different. We were greeted by the owner, Fathi, and seated. What followed was an amazing meal. Easily some of the best falafel I have had in my life, along with 4 other amazing dishes. If you are int he area it is definitely worth a stop!

This is a great stop for tourist that desire a break from Spanish Food! The menu looks simple and sparse– DONOTBEFOOLED — The ingredients in each dish are well put together and perfect for foodies. The menu is understated and does not excite the palate, good thing you eat the food and not the menu. The Falafel has over 50 ingredients. The eggplant sauce for the veggie roll up things(Forgot the name) was perfect. The Arabic coffee and those teas were special. The service was great, thank god either the owner or chef spoke beautiful English and explained the ingredients to us. Oh even the ground beef pita(again forgot the name) was spectacular. The spicy sauce was hot but had a sweetness to it that was unique. Do not miss this Toledo Gem from the Middle East!

The star system should go up to 6 stars just so I could give Alqahira 6!!! Food, presentation, service, décor, atmosphere… Everything was perfect. The best food we had in Spain in the 17 days we had traveled. We had dinner there on Monday night and squeezed in lunch on Tuesday! The service was impeccable!!! We had the Sambusa, falafels, shawarma, ground beef patties and baklava… All were amazing! A great place to be introduce to that type of food if you have never had it before.

This is a very welcome, surprisingly good middle eastern restaurant in the center of the old city of Toledo. The menu is short with excellent salads and dishes that are best to share. Many vegetarian and even vegan option. Some of the best felafel ever. The staff were gracious, helpful and very accommodating. Wish I lived next door! It is halal and the wine and beer are alcohol free.

Planned this place for our one stop for food in Toledo. Got there at 3:20 and the man seemed surprised when we walked in. He said they were closed and walked us to the sign that had their hours. The sign said open until 4:30… Apparently they need more than an hours notice to serve food. I’ll take my money elsewhere thank you!

Charming and cozy, a small menu but good choices. Our waiter may have been the owner: he was very elegant and hospitable, as if we were dining in his home. Vegetarians can find good options here. Halal, so no alcohol. There is a non alcoholic wine but it’s not so good. A great selection of teas, some blended there. Very tasty baklava and similar desserts. Great falafel. Great service. Good price. Two people shared three dishes, also tea and halal wine, 32 euros.

Lo primero que me ha llamado la atención a sido la decoración del restaurante y si a ello le sumamos comida de calidad y un trato cercano y de lo mas atento que he visto en tiempo … El resultado es un restaurante 10 y que recomiendo al 100%.

Fabulous Mediterranean food, charming atmosphere, and gracious service with attention on all the details! We had the hibiscus tea(TDF), falafels, lentil soup, chicken Schwerma wrap(perfectly moist chicken with fabulous yogurt and sweet pepper(like BBQ) sauce, perfectly toasted wrap), baklava(TDF), and homemade fig ice cream(TDF, TDF, TDF)! The owner was generous, charming, and welcoming(gave extra baklavas, even one that we could remove the nuts from(mom is allergic). What a find in Toledo! This restaurant was not on Unilocal prior to this review, but is on TripAdvisor and is ranked #1 restaurant in Toledo!
