No entiendo por qué dicen que no tienen Cola-Cao/tostadas con tomate a los que estamos en el hotel y luego a la gente de fuera si le sirven. Si no les da la gana servirnos lo que queremos que lo digan.

Exceptional beer selection and really excellent tapas, best I’ve had so far. I might be a lowly North American, but I know damn good food when I eat it. Yes there is a 30 euro cent charge for each dish served on the terrace, but don’t let that get your knickers in a twist. The tapas here is way beyond the usual bits on a hard piece of bread, we’re talking mini-dinner dishes here. Salubrious stewed oxtail, generous fritatta for 3 euro… yes pricier than your average pub tapas but also three times the size and three hundred times the quality and flavour. So, so worth it. Can’t speak to the main dishes, which are more costly than some other local places, but we had four ½ pints of beer and 3 huge dishes of tapas for 22 euro. In a touristy place, that’s a heck of a deal for a great evening of fine drink and nibblies. The server was also very attentive and prompt despite a busy night, and he spoke english. What more can a tourista ask for? I wish we were staying at the attached hostel so we could eat here more often!

I have to admit during our rainy cold weekend in Salamanca we spent the majority of our weekend inside this place. It is owned by the same owners of the Erasmus hostel we stayed in so of course they pushed it on us… but I am glad they did! It has such a cool vibe and décor. It reminded me of some cool pubs I used to go to back in the states. The bar has an Amsterdam-themed eclectic vibe. They mostly have wooden booths but a few tables all with a huge empty wine bottle layered with many layers of candle wax and a lit candle which adds to the ambiance. All the tables are under a piece of glass that have some sort of theme decoration underneath which makes it fun to inspect and good conversation pieces(condoms, foreign money, etc.). The bar has a huge beer menu with beers from all over the world. They also have reasonably priced beer flights which I thought was a great way to try a little bit of everything. They have delicious tapas as well as a full varied menu(although I only tried the tapas). Every time we walked in to this bar no matter what hour it has a mix of people inside… people studying, people on dates, people catching up with friends, business men grabbing a drink. We really enjoyed it! Only thing is service was slow but… hey its not something Spain is known for.
