The Testarossa Italian restaurant in Tenerife is on the Playa Fanabe, about a two minute walk from the beach. I popped in there one lunch time, with my partner, on a one week summer break. As it was so hot, we chose to sit outside and ordered water whilst we chose our meals. My partner went for a hawaiian pizza whereas I went for a spaghetti carbonara with a garlic bread. My partner said his pizza was gorgeous, and it looked it, and the carbonara was excellent — fresh pasta used, with good quality ham and parmesan cheese and a little cayenne on the sides to spice it up. The garlic bread was covered with fresh rosemary and tasted wondeful. The restaurant itself is very attractive, the outdoor seating area covered in parasols, and the staff are extremely polite and very efficient. I would go so far as to say that this was not only the nicest meal we had during our stay in Tenerife it is also the nicest Italian meal we have enjoyed in a long time. The quality of the food was far greater than anything we have had in the UK. The prices are also excellent — 28 euros for our meal, which in England would have cost us approx £30. So for value for money the Testarossa is also far better than anything you could expect to encounter back home. Next time I go to Tenerife I will certainly be visiting this restaurant and I always recommend it to my friends who stay in the area. It hasn’t let any of us down so far! I am going to give this 5 out of 5 as it is one of those places you rarely find — a great atmosphere, low in cost, and high in quality. Absolutely brilliant.
