Petit Palace Santa Barbara

We stayed here over the New Year’s. Excellent location with coffee shops, pubs, local eateries, grocery market nearby. Easy walking distance to Square de Sol. Numerous retail ships along the way. Also right next to metro station & ATMs. There are at least pubs right next to the hotel entrance with curbside tables. The side streets are a «gay» area (similar to our Castro St in San Francisco) and we have a beautiful time there.
The hotel interior is contemporary, the corridors have subdued lights. The rooms are modern with reading lights, free laptop (though ours didn’t work), glass showers, safes that operate by sliding your credit card… There’s a minibar in the room but we didn’t use as we can buy all the alcohol we want just around the corner.
We were so busy with different things to do during our stay that we didn’t even once turned the TV on.
The receptionists are helpful with suggestions. On the morning we left, she booked a large cab for the 4 of us with at least 10 pieces of luggage to the airport.

Great hotel just my the metro and only 1,2 km to the city centre. Our room, no 19 on first floor is large an stylish. Totally renovated with a hint of the old witch is very charming. The square just outside the door is bussing with life, Starbucks and great juice bar just around the corner and great restaurants in the local area. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back to stay here. It is quiet but have all you need close by.
