Madrid Marriott Auditorium Hotel & Conference Center

My wife and I stayed here one night before flying back from Madrid to Dallas. I felt this hotel was a great value for the size and cleanliness of the room. Even though the hotel was massive, our room was quiet and the hotel staff was very helpful.
The free shuttle to/​from the airport is also a nice benefit.

I stayed in the hotel for three nights for business event. Honestly I can say there was absolutely nothing I could be disappointed. The room was nice, tidy and quiet even though the hotel is close to the airport and highway. (It took around 20 minutes to city center by taxi, aprox. 25 EUR). Hotel stuff were kind and helpful. We had free wifi and it was always available without interruption. There are spacious areas with sofas where you can sit and chat or just relax. Breakfast had a great choice of fantastic food.

Un hotel enorme, uno tiene que caminar 150 m hasta el ascensor. Aparte de esa anécdota el personal, la habitación, el bufet en el desayuno que no se te puede escapar, todo excelente. Un cuatro estrellas bien puestas.

My flight got cancelled so got a room for the day at the Auditorium Madrid. Room was huge! King size bed, table and chairs at the end of the room, bathroom was bigger than average hotels.
Buffet was delicious!

No me gusta este tipo de sitios, por lo que no creo que sea objetiva; aunque lo voy a intentar.
No he pisado sus habitaciones, asi que, de eso, no puedo opinar.
He ido un par de veces a un evento al auditorio. Se trataba de uno se esos actos a los que hay que ir en plan finolis. Atención: si te planteas ir en tacones, valora si eres espectador/​a o si vas a tener que salir al escenario, hay muchas escaleras. Por lo demás, el auditorio es gigante. Hay buena visibilidad en todos los puntos y la acústica no está mal (deja mucho que desear si lo que se escucha es un coro).
También he probado dos veces su catering. Mi primer cóctel estuvo genial. Fue variado, abundante y de calidad. El segundo fue algo cutre. Había sándwiches con relleno de algo tan escaso que el sabor era únicamente a pan de molde. Asi que… No sé, espero que no haya decaído la calidad.

The Hotel is huge and very close to the airport. Being that close to the airport also means that it is a great distance away from anything else. So prepare for a significant taxi ride if you want to spend some time in the centre of Madrid.
Being that large, the hotel was prepared for large crowds of people. I was there as part of an event with over a thousand people, and everything went relatively smooth. Check-​in worked fine, the rooms were ready a little later that expected, but coat rooms were provided and everything was taken account of.
The rooms are okay, no more, no less. I did not get to spend too much time in them and I did not regret that. Wireless worked well in the rooms as well as almost everywhere in the hotel.
Surprisingly, the food was good. The breakfast had great choice and quality, a lot better than you might expect when catering for hundreds of people. Lunch buffet was good to decent, but also offered choice — and well, some of those choices were excellent, some merely decent, but you could try everything. The hotel has a few bars and restaurants, but I didn’t get to try all of them. Those we tried were surprisingly good (for the evening buffet) to great (the small restaurant next to the main bar).
In conclusion, the hotel is huge, competent in handling the crowds, and decent quality, but not really a comfortable place to stay.

Como hotel no lo se, no he ido nunca, aunque con tantas habitaciones y tan grande no se yo…
Voy mucho a jugar al Pádel allí y de precio está bien y las pistas están bastante bien. Parking gratis si juegas al padel. Recomendado.

Hotel Auditorium is the largest hotel in Europe– it is certainly not the best. Not Recommended.
The only reason to stay near an airport is the ability to get to the airport fast. The driver of the shuttle bus decided to skip out on a scheduled pickup, and let about 10 of us waiting at the curbside for about 40 minutes. Some took taxis, others waited, but only barely checked in.
I approached a member of the Staff, a man wearing a jacket that said «Aventus» who said he worked for the hotel and was standing with us at the curb. I asked him to call the the driver in English, since I can only say a few words in Spanish. This apparently was deeply hurtful to this very sensitive man and he said «it is not my job to speak English» and he turned his back, walked away and did nothing to help the ten stranded people. I am a world traveler, and expected an international hotel such as this to speak English and want to correct the situation. I was wrong and was given only attitude.
Be prepared to roll the dice at Hotel auditorium! Maybe the shuttle will come, maybe it won’t and if anything goes wrong, you won’t be helped.
