Kintaro

Basic. Absolutely basic.
I came here for the sushi. I heard there was a deal for unlimited sushi for around 10 euros. I came to check it out and found that it was your basic Asian buffet reminiscent of those in the US or UK. The buffet during the week for lunch is 10 euros without the drink.
The food itself was not remarkably special, but it was adequate. The sushi itself wasn´t half bad and I actually enjoyed two full plates. You can also choose your own meats and vegetables and have them cooked right in front of you.
All in all this is a place I´d visit again only if I was looking to eat a huge amount of food and if it was convenient to visit. Living in the city center makes it difficult to reach this Salamanca establishment, you have to take the purple line. My first time on the purple line. Smh ¡Aproveche!

Average food, not impressive. We just tried four dishes from menu and nothing was outstanding

awful, awful food — made me sick. Everything in the buffet was old and had clearly been out there for hours if not reused throughout the week. My intention was to go to the OTHER Kintaro in Madrid — which has the same name, I got confused. I highly recommend not going.

This place was horrible! Be careful as there is another restaurant of the same name which I’m told is very good. My friend and I accidentally went to this kintaro thinking it was the other, and we were very disappointed. The quality of the food was very poor and lacked any taste. We will never come back.

This is yet another Asian buffet. While the place is clean, the food is sub-​par with mushy sushi and not-​so-​fresh seafood.
Annoying detail: they offer «free refills» for sodas, which take forever to come and when they do come, they’re only half full.

En este asiático podrás disfrutar de una serie de platos ya sea a través del buffet libre o de la carta. Su precio está en torno a los 15 euros sin bebida por lo que es un poco caro para el tipo de comida que acaban poniendo en estos sitios. Se caracteriza por tener una cinta transportadora alrededor de las mesas En las ocasiones que he estado en este restaurante siempre he escogido la opción del buffet libre.
La comida tiene calidad y tienen mucha variedad de platos, eso si, al mediodía entre semana tienen menos platos pero es más barato. Por las noches y los fines de semana al ser más caro también incluyen otro tipo de comidas como puede ser marisco, pescados etc.
Si ves que quieres algún plato en particular que haya pasado por la cinta y no lo has podido coger o no lo ves, tienes la posibilidad de pedírselo a los camareros.

Llevaba unos meses sin ir a Kintaro, y la primera novedad es que han quitado la barra giratoria y lo han convertido en un «buffet» de verdad. (Sigue teniendo mesas al lado de la barra, pero yo ya me senté en las mesas normales)
Al principio no estaba convencida, pero luego me fue gustando la idea, no tener que esperar por el wasabi o el gengibre, que nunca te lleguen las almejas, platos nuevos…
Antes ya me parecía un sitio genial donde ir a forrar a base de cosas muy ricas, ahora creo que incluso mejor.
Por semana a mediodía menú a 9,95 (bebida a parte) y noches, festivos y fines de semana a 16 € (merece la pena porque la calidad sube y la variedad también)
Ahora también han añadido una opción de wok y plancha con un buen surtido de alimentos para elegir y llevarle a Mr. Wok.
