Really cheap and great food. It is only 1 euro for each small item. 3 € was enough for one meal for me. A lot of locals here. Definitely recommend.

It is what it is. Quick food, pretty good taste, and cheap beer — yes! Perfect for a pre-game or a quick afternoon snack. And a fun way to see Spanish fast food. Now the caveats — this is not authentic spanish food and better prepared tapas tastes better than the ones here. But know the limitations and appreciate this place for what it is.

The best thing about this place is that I found FREE WiFi so I could use Unilocal to find a better place to go. One star, because it’s cheap($ 5 for two beers and two mini almost semi decent sandwiches.) Another star because… hey, it’s Madrid!

This is one of my favorite places to eat. I could definitely understand why people would not rank this restaurant at a five start level, but let me explain why I gave it five stars: –it’s super convenient, and you really can find another one on other corners in Madrid. –you have the option of ordering any time of mini sandwich that you would like! –the Quatro queso sandwich is probably the best sandwich I have ever had in my life. We actually took some home with us to America… Hahah –there are 1 euro jaras of beer during certain times of the week!!! –one word: tinto de verano.(Ok three words) –its a fun, social environment where you can eat inside or outside! Thanks for existing montaditos!!!

I did not actually eat any sandwiches here-what they are famous for, but I did get a coffee and split a set of nachos with two sauces with my friend. The sauces were meant to be nacho cheese and guacamole. As far as the guacamole was-it wasn’t. It was some green paste that vaguely tasted like guacamole. The nacho cheese was classic nacho cheese and radioactively orange. The chips themselves were decent, and I actually quite enjoyed the coffee! I would recommend this place for a super cheap coffee break, and nothing more.

The best days to go are the ones in which you can have anything for only 1 €. Of course, don’t go there expecting high-quality food: it’s like any burger but you get«montaditos»…

The 4 stars is because it is good for what it is. It is a quick, easy, low-priced, montaditos chain restaurant. Montaditos are little sandwiches. We loved the seating on the plaza. It was pleasant to linger outside. On each table there is a menu(you can ask the barman for one in English) an order form & a pen. Write out your order, go to the bar and purchase your food and drinks. They will tell you to come back and pick up your food(in 8 – 10 minutes). The sandwiches are made fresh to order. The basic beer is perfectly drinkable, and they had others available. It is a great inexpensive, unmemorable, light meal in a neighborhood with few night time options.

Pretty great food for a chain restaurant! Basically a great place to eat if you’re looking for something really inexpensive. We stopped here to grab a few bites before exploring the city some more. Cheap beer is awesome. The bread and sandwiches were all pretty good, but nothing super special. I was sad they ran out of fries and gave me chips instead. The place was pretty crowded but all the workers were very nice.

I really thought this place was meh. I mean it’s okay, but it seemed really abandoned and not that nice. I had a chocolate muffin, and it really tasted weird, kind of like spicy, but like bitter. I don’t know. The table was kind of wobbly. The good thing about this place is that it’s in the dead center between the museums in the area. Also really cheap. No real problems.

First tapas experience in spain. After a 13 hour flight I wanted a beer and some food then hit the sack. 1.50 euro for a mug of beer is awesome. The sandwiches were pretty good for a chain. The bread was pretty awesome here.

My friend recommended 100M to me. I thought it was strange that someone would recommend a chain fast food restaurant, but after I arrived in Madrid, I finally understood! For those of you who are first-timers here: To order, you need to write down the #s that you want on the paper on the table. I didn’t know this and the cashier had a hard time taking my order(they don’t all speak English). I came here on a Sunday, so everything was 1 €(with the exception of the salad, which was 2 €). Giant mug of beer and mini sandwiches(aka montaditos) for 1 €! My dad was so excited that instead of sharing a beer(which we usually do), we got one each! I was amazed because my dad typically doesn’t drink much. The sandwich selection is huge, but similar to other sandwiches in Spain, there aren’t very many fillings except for meat. I really enjoyed the montaditos with the brava sauce, and the fried calamari one. They pretty much have every possible variety available on the menu. We also ordered a salad, which is something severely lacking in Spain. We rarely see salad on the menu, and when we do, no one orders it. But for 2 €, we ordered the chicken and bacon salad, which came with olive oil and vinaigrette. My parents were excited to finally get some veggies in their system. The chicken was also surprisingly very good, too. I saw so many locations for 100M, that you are bound to pass by one if you are a tourist. Definitely a good spot to stop by for drinks & a snack. The 3 of us got full off of 17 €, a very rare occurrence in Europe.

Cheap and delicious! Cheap and delicious! I was recommended 100 Montaditos from several friends who have lived in Madrid and LOVED it! Mini sandwiches all for 1EURO!!! Yes, please. We had an incredibly cheap and yummy meal at this location. I wish they had this kind of restaurant in my hometown because I would be there all the time. If you sit outside watch out for the birds; they swarm dishes left over from patrons who have left(it’s a little terrifying to be enjoying your meal when all of a sudden a flock of birds flies right at the table next to you but if I was a bird I would want to eat here too). All of the montaditos(mini sandwiches) come with chips and there are so many different choices! We sampled the jamon york y queso, jamon iberico, hamburguesa and patatas fritas con 4 salsas(dipping sauces). All yum! Step 1 Check out the menu Step 2 Write your order down Step 3 Bring your ticket order inside(if you’re sitting outside) Step 4 Wait while it is being prepared Step 5 Go back in to retrieve your yummy meal Step 6 Enjoy!

Who knew that a chain could actually be a half decent place to visit for a quick bite and rest?! Avoid the fancier options(the gambas I had were tasteless) and stick to a montadito with Jamon. Get a cold drink and sit outside to watch the world go(the building over the road played bells at 3pm, I wonder if this is every hour?). Spend a few euros and regain your energy before hitting more of the art museums.

Cheap eats… but tasty. Two of us ate like a king for 10e. Big beer for 1e. Bread was very fresh and tasty… and the ingredients in each sandwich delicious. The ordering process was a bit confusing, but otherwise it was great.

A remarkably inexpensive place with lots of tasty choices and small portions. Add comfortable seating, a helpful staff and cheap beer. Perfect after a long day touring Madrid with no patience for fine dining.

Really cheap eats! Wednesdays and Sundays drinks are € 1 and Montaditos are € 1,50– great place if you’re ballin on a budget. The sausage plate is good as well as the pollo con ajillo montadito. The sample platters are pretty good too! And you gotttaaa get the tinto de verano.

Tasty food at very affordable prices. We stopped by on Sunday unaware that nearly everything was ½ price all day that day. The place quickly filled up with what seemed like a crowd of locals, despite the somewhat touristy location near the Prado and the Westin hotel. Almost everything on the menu was 1 Euro, with the 4 Euro salads marked down to 2 Euros. Two of us stuffed ourselves full of montaditos(little sandwiches) and the aforementioned salads, washed down with tinto de veranos for ~ 14 Euros. An affordable and enjoyable last night dining in Madrid. Friendly service. It helps if you can count to 100 in Spanish since the people who input your order do it according to the numbers on the menu. PS — The restaurant seemed very clean and we could see into the kitchen prep area where the workers were wearing gloves, but the restrooms were another story. They were decently clean, but according to my wife there was no soap in the ladies room. And this wasn’t at the end of the night, but rather maybe around 7 or 8 p.m. In the men’s room, on the other hand, someone had dropped an entire giant-size role of toilet paper into the only toilet. There were a couple of urinals still functional, but the toilet itself seemed sadly out of commission. Hopefully those were just aberrations, but if I were ever to go back to 100 Montaditos and the toilets were similarly in disarray, I might start to get worried about overall attention to cleanliness behind the scenes.

Inexpensive eats in Madrid? YES! 100 Montaditios is the place! Sunday is the best! Everything on the menu is 1 euro! Sangria, beer, small sandwiches, olives… We tried so many of their bocadillos that I lost track of what we ate. Needless to say, they were all very tasty! The size is perfect, not too small and not too big — you can try more of the little sandwiches since they don’t fill you up! The service was also very friendly! The gal behind the counter was really nice and made some suggestions to help us narrow down our choices. They really do have 100 sandwiches on their menu!

I tend to avoid chain places when I travel and basically when I am at home too. But we were hungry and tired of walking around Prado, so we stopped here. I have to admit the food was good and cheap. I had some tasty tapas sandwiches and most very nice. Seemed authentic enough for me. Tapas and local cerveza and a place to sit. What more could you want?
