This was the quietest, most peaceful hotel I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in. And the staff? When they weren’t absolutely silent they were polite and friendly. We only ran into the maids once(never heard them!) and the front desk staff changed every few hours but as we were in and out for a few days each person we encountered was extremely pleasant and welcoming. They were quick to call cabs, they helped with directions to restaurants, and they even helped replace a room key that I lost. All with a huge smile. The bed was a California King — unless there’s something bigger? It took up almost the whole room. Which was fine with me because who wouldn’t want their room to be a bed?! The windows looked out onto some old city walls, no biggie, but the blackout shades kept the warm air out and the blasting sunlight. It could be midnight 24⁄7 if you want it to be! In addition to the comfy bed and the sultry, dark room, the bathroom was killer. Super modern fixtures with a rain shower(for two) and a massive soaking tub. Possibly for two? My fiancé isn’t much of a bather — but that meant more room for me! The toiletries included plenty of towels, separate shampoo/conditioner, soap, and even bubble bath. The room came equipped with a safe, lovely hardwood floors, fliers and info about room service and spa amenities and even a local guide magazine that showed what businesses were nearby. Sadly there wasn’t too much activity on Unilocal so we did have to rely on other sources a bit. The room rate was insanely affordable(I think around $ 90 – 110 a night for a King sleeper?) and you get free breakfast in the mornings from early(7, 8?) till 10:30am. The breakfast was awesome! You could choose from 1 – 100 items including donuts, various other pastries and cookies, to eggs, toast, charcuterie, fresh fruit, yogurt, and more. There was also instant coffee, tea, and a selection of juices and milk. This was the best meal of my day during our entire stay! If you stayed anywhere but this hotel I’d think you lost your mind.
