knowledge is designed to allow visitors to learn about Basque culture and so enhance their enjoyment of our city, of which we are very proud.

Our wide variety of tours are tailored to individual needs allowing us to fully demonstrate and explain the unique gastronomic history and culture

of our fascinating city.

The old town (Parte Vieja) is very picturesque, with many churches and buildings. It is completely packed with Pintxos bars — so many that

knowing where to go and what to order can be very overwhelming.

Discover San Sebastian is a new project that is supported by many years of experience by founder Eskerne Falcon in the food/​drink/​hospitality industry.

Born in San Sebastian, Eskerne left her beloved city in 1994 to further her studies in USA, attending Binghamton NY University. Her passion for gastronomy was enhanced during her time in the United States where she experienced, enjoyed and learnt about a diverse and multi-​cultural range of food and drink produce.

Eskerne returned to San Sebastian in 1999 and worked in a variety of positions including being manager of an award winning family hotel in San Sebastian and holding senior managerial positions with 2 restaurant /​food producer trade associations.

2008 saw Eskerne play a key role in the city’s bid to be awarded the honour of San Sebastian becoming the European Capital of Culture for 2016. Returning to San Sebastian from Shanghai in 2014 Eskerne worked as a guide within the city before deciding to start Discover San Sebastian.

My husband and I visited San Sebestian in June and I’m still daydreaming about our pintxo tour of San Sebestian with Eskerne of Discover San Sebastian. The Pintxos were amazing, the wine was divine and the cheesecake was unreal.
But the best part of the pintxo tour: meeting Eskerne, a native of San Sebestian (and minor celebrity there) who now feels like an old friend! She was knowledgeable, took us to all the best places and made sure we had the absolute best and most authentic experience! Loved every minute of it. By the end, we felt like locals.
We can’t wait to go back to San Sebestian and do it again! This was the highlight of our trip.
Do yourself a favor and book a tour. You’ll love it!

Eskerne is absolutely the #1 tour guide for San Sebastian. She was born and raised in SS which makes the tour very special. You immediately feel like a local and as if you are learning all of the secrets of the city! She is passionate, sweet and very flexible to work with!

Eskerne picked us up at our hotel in San Sebastien and she was beyond what we were hoping for! Her enthusiasm and local knowledge was exactly what we were looking for to get an «insiders» look at this amazing city. She took us to an adorable winery just outside of town, made us laugh the whole time and even wrote down recommendations for the rest of our trip. She went above and beyond! When she dropped us back off, she even walked us to the restaurant she recommended to make sure we found it and that our table was ready. It really was something else. I recommend her to anyone visiting San Sebastien, that wants to have the best of the best and not feel like a silly tourist.

Eskerne is such a lively person and simply makes this tour. She is originally from San Sebastian and has deep roots here, so she is very knowledgeable on the history of the city and more importantly on the amazing food — Pintxo’s — that this seaside town is known for. If you love food, food, and local cider, cava, and wine, you should book immediately!
