Had a few tapas here with friends during a temporary tapas route that was going on in Gracia. This place looked really good, and was certainly packed full of people to convince me that it was a worthwhile stop. The servers were super friendly and bilingual, and the location of the restaurant was great, but the chefs seemed to buckling under the strain of so many orders. Our food was tasty, but it seemed to have been sitting out for a while(or had not been warmed up adequately). It was pretty good, and I would be keen to try out more of their menu… but might not go back on particularly busy nights. 3 stars for the food and an extra star for the super awesome service.

Ended up here a little by accident. We went to Gracia on a Sunday and this was the only place that was open. The people were super friendly and the outside area was great for hanging out. I ordered paella, it was not so great and took 30 minutes(which they warned us about). The rice wasn’t fully cooked and was too hard to chew :(Mussels were gritty and gross(didn’t eat them) and they included crab legs, but no way to get them open womp womp. My BF got some sort of sausage that he didn’t really like either.

I would like to slap people that give negative reviews to this place. chris office amazing food the great prices and it rocks in taste. The owner literally works here and it has generationally been in his family for 80+ years. This place was the exact definition of a Spanish terrace dining experience. The service level and the attention to detail of the waiters are next to none. One of the things that I noticed is that almost everything on the menu has been manicured to give the people what they demand. Love this place! A must.

First Paella and found this small restaurant by chance walking by while they were opening. Family owned and owner opened early to make us Paella. It was very good! Small place with limited seating, but since they opened just for us, we had the whole place to ourselves for half an hour which half filled before we left. Tapas menu looked good, but we were on a mission to find a non-touristic place near our hotel to eat Paella and were not disappointed.

If you want to go catalan, this is the place to go. Not big, so make sure you ‘hang out’ to catch a spot outside. Great for lunch with tapas. Great waiter and ‘rapido’(not pronto :-) receipt of order.

service was questionable at best. food came out still frozen and nothing is fresh. the price is ok but there are definitely better places to spend your money

By far the best meal I had while in Spain. From Madrid to San Sebastian and then to Barcelona Pirineus was the best. It sits on a small corner in a neighborhood area right next to the Joanic metro stop. A few tables outside, maybe another 6 inside and a bar area make up the place. The two things that really set it apart are the freshly made tapas and cooked meals and the service. The staff is so friendly. They were some of the nicest people we met in Barcelona. After finding the place by accident we had to come again the next night. Great home cooked meals from people that know there stuff. Come here and spend a nice long dinner with family you’ve never met; you won’t be disappointed.
