J’ai découvert ce bar lors de mes vacances à Barcelone et j’ai adoré !!! Bar simple mais efficace ! Situé sur une petite place fort sympathique ! Avec une terrasse trop chouette !
Serveurs cool! Carte variée et bons tapas pas chers !
Ce bar a été un peu notre QG là bas pour se poser en terrasse après une journée de touriste ^^
Je conseille fortement si vous passez pas Barcelone et son joli quartier gothique !

Found this place in the awesome little neighborhood were staying in and we loved it. I ordered the baguette with tomato pesto and Brie and my boyfriend ordered the sandwich with ham cheese toasted. It was so simple yet amazingly delicious! Extremely affordable and they have wifi!

Great for breakfast and lunch. Ate here 4 times in a row while visiting on holiday. Great atmosphere, friendly staff.

Pues mira que conozco este sitio desde hace al menos 10 – 15 años, y evidentemente no es lo que era. Quedó en los albores del pasado aquel sitio rancio, donde solo se perdían los parroquianos, y que no había turista que fuera lo suficiente valiente para adentrarse. No lo voy a negar añoro aquellos años que como aquellas oscuras golondrinas, como en la rima de Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, no volverán. Pero dentro de lo que son la actual oferta de ocio en el Gótico de la cuidad condal, es de lo más interesante. Tienen un local que tiene cierto parecido al antiguo Oviso (por cierto ¿de donde vendrá ese nombre?) además de tener un ambiente molón, entre turístico y hipsteriano. Y lo que me acaba de convencer son loa precios. Y es que si no, no repetiría con asiduidad

Nice random find. Drinks, food, and waiter were good. I had the burger with an egg. I believe it was a veal burger, so that was interesting.

great location in trippy square frequented by the locals! nice outdoor seating area where you can listen to the street performers. the vermouth is a must for any travelers! great tapas and quick service too!

Oviso’s is perfect for a drink surrounded by locals in a touristy area. Just next to Bar Lisa, the sign for Oviso’s is subdued, but the atmosphere inside is hipster-​grunge. I usually order sangria, and it never disappoints. Staff are super friendly and will go out of their way to make sure you are happy. I’ve been coming here for about 4 years and always leave satisfied!

I came to this little place 10 years ago and it’s not changed one bit! I’m not sure how to describe the décor exactly but it does make me think of a Greek hideout that could feature in a bond movie. It’s simple but tasty fare, savory & sweet crepes and also great for brunch with various egg dishes and freshly squeezed juices. The only small thing I thought was a bit odd was being charged more for wholemeal bread when I requested it, it was just plain packet bread nothing fancy so made no sense to charge more. We came back in the nighttime too and I sampled one of their delicious Mojitos they pack a punch! the staff are friendly and attentive and everything is quite cheap in comparison to Las Ramblas or more touristy spots.

Zwar «nur» 3 Sterne, aber gute 3! Die Bewertung in einer 5er Skala ist einfach schwierig, an den 4 Sternen ist dieses Lokal aber knapp vorbei geschrammt. Wieso? Der Service ist leider mehrmals (wir waren 2x hier) unaufmerksam gewesen, das eine mal kam ein bestelltes Getränk nicht, beim 2. Besuch eine bestellte Speise. Dazu kommt dass wir bei beiden Besuchen lange auf die Bedienung warten mussten — sie ist mehrmals an uns vorbeigegangen.
Das Essen war allerdings trotzdem sehr lecker und auch preislich in Ordnung. Man kann schön draußen in der Sonne sitzen oder im gemütlichen inneren. Auch gut ist die schnelle WLAN Verbindung.

This is a great place for people watching. It is in a square surrounded by other bars/​restaurants and next to a park. We had some red sangria and crepes outside. It was very relaxing and the service was great. If you feel like lounging in the gothic quarter, this is a good place to do so.

A nice, chill bar in the middle of the square. Fairly cheap prices. Trendy, hip crowd, as you might expect in this area.
They offer locally brewed craft beer, which was not something that we saw frequently on our travels. Coffee was not bad at all. Good price for wine.
Staff was friendly, and apologetic when mistakes were made.
A good place to stop in for a drink at the bar.

We loved the coffee at Oviso and the food was cheap and pretty decent. I enjoyed my bread with avocado and tomato but the hubby said his eggs were slightly overlooked. But overall a good trendy alternative spot in the middle of the gothic area with great coffee.

This is a great chill out place with a nice relaxing atmosphere! We really enjoyed the daily specials and the nice staff! It is walkable to everything, and in the heart of the gothic district. One my favorites in Barcelona!

Friendly people, good food and an awesome location. You can sit inside or outside. Highly recommended!

This was very cool place to hang out in the gothic district. The décor was very hipster ish with a large sign advertising erotic movies (just for décor) and many different types of tables, chairs, and wall art. They have many locally brewed beers in bottles, but they were out of the beer I wanted… and the second beer I wanted… sigh. The husband and I settled on two different beers and they ended up being like IPAs (which I don’t like, but he does) so he drank his and the majority of mine. Prices were average for the area.

This place was amazing. It is in a residential, quiet area, so it is not too touristy. The service was amazing, even though we speak decent Spanish, our waiter was very patient and kind. Food was delicious and the location was adorable. I highly recommend.

We had a nice brunch at this place! The meals were good and the prices very attractive. Waitresses and waiters were polite, smiling, and competent. Eating outside was enjoyable because we received sunlight. It is satisfactory to see vegan and vegetarian food in the menu. The cappuccino I had was fairly good.

Descubrí este lugar cuando me vine a vivir a Barcelona, ya hace unos añitos, y me encantó! En el corazón del gótico, lugar ideal para empezar la noche. El local es bien original, tipo taberna pero bastante acogedor, con mesas bajitas de todos los tamaños y bancos.
A mi me gusta especialmente para comer, hacen menús muy baratitos que están muy bien por su relación calidad-​precio. Me gusta como tienen la carta porqué indican cuales son los platos que pueden comer los celíacos, los vegetarianos o los veganos.
Para los días soleados tiene una terraza donde se está de maravilla!

Tres bonne adresse typique de Barcelona, le décor et la musique vous plonge dans l ambiance. Les serveurs sont agreables (pour une fois). La nourriture est bonne et peu cher (4, 5 € en moyenne), les mojitos un peu excessifs (6.5 €). Il y a de la place en terrasse et Wi-​Fi gratuit.

Bar con terraza que conserva la estructura y la decoración del un antiguo cine sobre el que se ha instalado. Está situado en el corazón de Ciutat Vella y es un lugar bastante concurrido, de vez en cuando testigo de algún altercado entre los alcohólicos que frecuentan la plaza. La verdad es que tiene bastantes inconvenientes: el más destacable es la pésima atención del personal, que es desagradable y tardón. Aparte, no es un lugar muy cómodo, la comida roza lo mediocre y cometen la mala práctica de subir los precios por la noche.

Restaurant /​bar atypique où je suis tomber par hasard, en fuyant les restaurants touristiques, à la recherché de tapas. Ce fut une très bonne surprise, les serveurs sont très sympas, le lieu vraiment dépaysant, et les prix imbattables!
Nous avons pris une tortilla et une piada, excellent!

How can I not give this place 5 stars? The manager, Eric, took great care of us, and the crowd was friendly. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, and this spot clearly is a local favorite. A short walk from La Rambla, Oviso is worth a visit when you’re looking for a late night beer or snack.

We had 5 – 6 glasses of some nice catalan wine and 2 tapas plates (they were alright) a cheese tray, amazing chicken, some soda, some water and paid around 30 €

Absoluter Geheimtipp in Barcelona! Waren schon 5 Mal dort! Super nettes Personal, sehr gutes Essen, leckere Mojitos, cooles Publikum! Immer wieder einen Besuch wert!!!

Un bar ideal para quedar con tus amigos para tomar/​comer algo. Siempre hay súper buen ambiente. El personal muy atento y amable.
A destacar los zumos naturales que hacen, son RIQUÍSIMOS!
En lo que respecta a la oferta gastronómica se refiere puedes encontrar piadas, hambuguesas, crêpes, focaccias de patata, bocadillos, tapas… Muy buena relación calidad-​precio.
Hoy la cena ha sido una hamburguesa deluxe (hamburguesa de ternera, queso havarti, tomate, lechuga, cebolla y guacamole) un zumo de naranja, manzana y melón y para acabar un te Chai.

Mira que he estado veces y veces en la plaza del tripi (una de mis mejores amigas antes vivía ahí), y nunca me había percatado de que estaba justo ahí el bar Oviso, del que había oído hablar.
El sitio es peculiar. Se trata de un bar-​restaurante bastante amplio que antes fue un cine X. Me impactaron las enormes pintadas rupestres en las paredes, con diferentes animales y dibujos. Hay distintos tipos de mesas, algunas para dos personas, otras para grupos, y me impactaron algunas que estaban tan tan llenas de firmas y garabatos que no podía casi apreciarse su color original.
De comer me decanté por una focaccia hecha a base de patata que se llamaba «la tierna», con crema de queso y pechuga de pollo, y la verdad es que estaba rica. También sirven ensaladas, platos vegetarianos y veganos, crepes, bikinis de distintos tipos, hamburguesas, bocadillos, piadas, tapas… así que variedad no les falta.
Me atendieron rápido y amablemente, tienen wifi y terraza y está bien de precio, así que me lo apunto para cuando esté por el Raval.

Seriously great comfortable find for brunch. This was our backup plan after seeing the wait for «Milk» and we’re so glad we found it.
The winner was definitely the exotic crêpe with avocado and a nice sauce. The basic 2 egg dish isn’t anything to joke about either, it’s only EUR 4 and really solid.
Juices/​smoothies were fresh blended and tasty. The chocolate-​banana crêpe was perfectly done with not-​too-​sweet chocolate. Prices are super fair.

Nice option in the gothic nabe. With a menu boasting crepes, burgers, sandwiches and other tasty bits it will be hard to decide. Both of my friends had the crepes and they seemed okay. I had the burger and it wasn’t bad. They have lots of vegetarian and vegan options.
Staff was nice. Great people and dog watching in the plaza if you sit outside.

Sehr leckeres Essen, freundliche Bedienung und alles nicht zu teuer. Hatte ein Focaccia mit Hühnchen, aber auch das Essen meiner Freunde sah wirklich gut aus und es waren alle zufrieden. Mit ein bischen Wartezeit sollte man vielleicht rechnen wenn es voller ist.

I found THAT neighborhood bar in Barcelona. Darkly lit, wood tables and hipsters. Alas, rosemary potatoes a must, fresh savory and sweet crepes. Cava averages 3 Euro for a bottle two glasses worth. Fresh fruit for home spun slushy daqueries a must aligned w frescas and watermelon. During the day one can sit in the plaza for people watching. Love the painted décor of peacocks on the walls.
PS The burger cooked perfect medium rare with veal and lamb a must.

Un lugar muy interesante donde hacer las primeras copas de la noche y a un precio mas que correcto. Bastante barullo de gente joven bebiendo y riendo.
La decoración es bastante peculiar, sobretodo, por las pinturas en las paredes.

El Oviso está en la plaza del tripi y tiene una terraza magnífica que siempre está llena (nunca he encontrado sitio en ella).
He ido unas pocas veces a comer al mediodía, y aunque las camareras no siempre se enteran de lo que las piden, el menú siempre me ha gustado.
Por las noches, una hamburguesa vegana con una caña, es una buena opción.

L’endroit semble être un hangar revisité version bar avec un sol brut, les murs peints de fresques grecques. Les tables au fond de la salle sont également particulières très basses. Ambiance on né peut plus cool.
Les serveurs, plutôt jeunes et ‘mégas branchés’, sont très agréables, au petit soin pour les clients.
Côtés prix, alors là c’est vraiment imbattable et de plus de qualité.
J’ai pris en dessert un yaourt aux fruits secs et miel, c’était trop bon!
Les sandwichs et salades sont également excellents.

Un coup de coeur !
Restaurant typique barcelonais, un peu extravagant, un décor original et chaleureux, entre la mythologie grecque et le street art :)
La serveuse est très accueillante et aux petits soins.
Les plats sont si peu chers qu’on pensait au début que c’était des tapas ! (4EUR l’hamburger).
La nourriture est très bonne, et le guacamole maison à tomber par terre.
Une merveilleuse surprise, incontournable si on est de passage à Barcelone.

Íbamos buscando un sitio para comer y acabamos entrando en un cine porno! Bueno, o lo que era un antiguo cine XXX reconvertido en un restaurante con opción vegana y productos orgánicos de la huerta.
El Oviso me gusta mucho por varios motivos. Uno es el espacio, con dos zonas separadas que se corresponden con la barra y el comedor. De techo alto, el comedor sigue con la tónica general del local y mantiene unos murales de mitología griega a los que la humedad les da un toque entre antiguo y decadente. Aún se puede ver la base –una caja de madera suspendida en el techo– donde se colocaba el proyector de las películas. Sillas, mejor dicho, taburetes muy bajitos, madera vieja y escaños corridos para las mesas de grupo. Tiene una viga en el medio del comedor en torno a la cual han dispuesto una mesa semicircular que no recomiendo utilizar si váis más de dos personas.
Los baños son una oda a la firma grafitera, hay cientos!
La comida merece mención aparte; por 6 euretes tienes un primero, un segundo y postre. Todo de primera, ecológico y de temporada… y esto es algo que no encuentras habitualmente ¡6 euros!
Eso sí, aunque ofrezcan WiFi, la señal es horrible.
El Oviso es un MUST SEE en Barcelona por comida y por espacio.

Creo que ésta es la mejor terraza de todo el centro de Barcelona. En un mundo oscuro, lleno de sombras se hace la luz en la Plaza Orwell y deja espacio para la terracita del bar Oviso.
Cuando estoy por el centro siempre intento encontrar un sitio en esta terraza, aunque no siempre tengo éxito. Algunas veces se llena demasiado.
Sus crepes son muy buenos, además tienen la cocina abierta hasta la 1 de la madrugada, con lo que es un buen sitio al que ir si se te hace tarde para cenar o has salido de algún concierto a medianoche. Es un sitio muy recomendable, a pesar de que la terraza la cierran antes.

Cuando llegué por primera vez a Barcelona con mi amiga Francesca, este bar fue nuestro pequeño refugio.
Íbamos siempre y nos gustaba mucho su ambiente.
Como no teníamos piso, comíamos casi siempre allí y pasábamos las tardes sentadas a una de sus mesas, buscando entre los anuncios de alquileres y trabajos. Por un tiempo se transformó en nuestra oficina!
Situado a un lado de la Plaza George Orwell, mejor conocida como plaza del tripi, este bar es muy popular.
Cuando sale un poco de sol, su terracita se llena de gente y a la hora de comer es difícil encontrar lugar.
Igual que fuera, el ambiente dentro también es bonito con mesitas pequeñas y bajitas a lo largo del pasillo y unas más grandes en la sala al fondo.
Al mediodía y por la noche es cuando se llena más.
La carta es sencilla, con platos de cocina mediterránea: sopas, ensaladas, crepes y bocadillos.
Hay siempre un menú del día que, por la relación calidad precio que tiene, lo consejo.
