Big choice of coffee, smoothie, pastry and small sandwich in a cosy and cute place with friendly staff. Cookies are great, as well as all the food we took. Perfect for breakfast or a break, very relax.

I really wanted to love this place after reading all the great reviews, but everything that the three of us ordered was disappointing. I got a tuna sandwich that just didn’t taste very fresh, not to mention the bread was a little stale and the lettuce a bit wilted even though it was only around 10am. It was a Saturday so maybe they didn’t get fresh bread and produce that morning, I don’t know. I’m not a picky coffee drinker but my café con leche didn’t have the rich coffee flavor of every other café we’ve visited in Barcelona over the past 3 weeks, and my husband’s mocha tasted more like hot chocolate without any coffee flavor. My son got a hot chocolate which was the consistency of runny pudding and looked amazing, but the flavor was more bitter than sweet. The muffin/pastry with sliced apples on top was pretty good, but there were lots of flies on the food in the display case so that kind of ruined my appetite. Wish I could give a more positive review but it was just a disappointment all around.

Awesome spot to stop in and start your morning right. Grab a quick espresso or cortado while near the Arc du Triomphe. But don’t bring the whole family, the space is small and intimate. Croissants are good, muffins are good, sandwiches are delish, coffee is good and the fresh juices(it’s not only orange, they have blends with carrot or apple or other specialty juices made while you wait) are savory and nutritious. Overall great establishment frequented by locals and operated by tourist-tolerant, friendly ladies.

Cozy spot for a coffee break. Large and tasteful selection of sweet and salty pastries. Great for going solo or with good company.

A nice place for breakfast, with wide variety of pastries to choose from. Mocha was a little too sweet for me, while the hot chocolate was really thick. Recommended to people who loves to find a nice café to chill.

No parecía recién hecho.

Cute little café with delicious-looking desserts, pastries, etc. Décor was very cute with aesthetically pleasing chalkboard menus. I think it’s a little bigger than the average Barcelona café. There are 4 or 5 little tables near the front of the café, 1 large table(my friends and I shared with some other people), a counter area for mostly chatting(not much space to work on), and a back room for bigger parties. I think they take reservations for this room. The café con leche was good. I’m not really too much of a coffee connoisseur so I can’t say much. WiFi was free, just one outlet where I was sitting(big table). I’ll be back!

Nice place, good pastry selection and actual good coffee to boot. A nice place to come retreat from the city’s hussle bussle or to extend your working hour away from the office(with free wifi) Definitely top 3 café to be at in Barcelona

Molika and our barista Laura were amazing. I was at a hotel down the street and Unilocal directed me to this cozy and coffee shop about 5 blocks away… It was worth the short walk. I literally started almost every day in Barcelona by stopping by Molika. What puts this place in my top 10 coffee shops of all time and my favorite in Barcelona? The coffee is outstanding, the barista really takes pride in the drinks that are produced. I had their cappuccino and their mocha. A note to Americans, their mocha is on the smaller side, much more like an espresso shot with chocolate and whipped cream(still tasty though, just different). The selection of pastries was perfect, everything from macaroons and croissants to some other interesting treats I’ve never seen before. They also had a large variety of ham and cheese sandwiches, which are quite common in Spain. Their fresh yogurt was delicious as well. The best item I had though was their bacon quiche, it they have it available, it is delectable. The décor here looks like the apartment of a woman in her 20’s, it’s cute with wooden signs and posters with memorable quotes and words of wisdom and inspiration. The vibe really fits. They also make fresh OJ, not with a machine, but by hand. They also have wifi. Stop by here and enjoy yourself, you won’t regret it.

I’m still giving this place 4 stars– food is excellent, coffee is excellent, staff seems to be much friendlier now. The only problem with this place is that it seems to be the hot spot for parents and little out of control children! Steer clear of ¡Molika on Saturday mornings and most afternoons around 15:00 — 17:00 — that is unless you have little children yourself.

Good coffee and croisants. Lovely location. Don’t go there though if you intend to hang out and work. The cranky barista — perhaps the owner — asked us please not to take up so much space because apparently the round table one of us was using for his laptop was larger than the surrounding round tables and therefore only to be used by more than one person despite the fact that there was still plenty if space for other customers to sit. Lunch looked decent but we left for a more relaxed service.

I am guilty of being one of those Unilocalers that religiously lives by the reviews to find great places but never add any myself. In fact, I haven’t written a review since 2008 so this should really be a testament to how great Molika is. My husband had a work event in Barcelona this week so me and my 9 month old decided to tag along and explore the sites while hubby was working. I, of course, Unilocaled cafés near me because I’m making it a personal mission to eat my way through Europe one chocolate croissant at a time. Molika popped up with perfect reviews and only 1 mile away so I decided it was a good opportunity to walk off my pastry addiction. When I arrived, I have to say, it was maybe the cutest decorated café I’ve ever seen, which was extremely inviting. As my son and I walked in we were immediately impressed with the sites and smells of fresh pastries and breads and warm coffee as well as the delightful smiles and warm presence of the staff. Mi español es muy malo, but the staff were extremely patient with me and able to guide me to what they are known for. I wish I’d caught the name of the cake but it was similar to a spice cake with cream cheese filling and frosting. It was moist and delicious and absolutely hit the spot for an afternoon snack. Not to mention, the staff entertained my 9 month old with waves and smiles and a game of peek-a-boo so I could enjoy my cake in silence for a few minutes. I will likely be returning every single day until we leave. Absolutely recommend a trip and there is a nice Plaza and fun shops nearby as well.

This little café at Casp/Bailen is one of my favorite in Barcelona. The carrot cake is a must have, and no need to mention the great coffee they make. Staffs are young and nice, fluent in English so no worries on communication. The interior decoration is simple yet comfortable. A great place to be.

I love Molika. I lucked out that I was staying just down the street, because I ended up coming here almost every day for two weeks. The baked goods are delicious, the coffee spot-on, and the staff is super friendly. They suffered my poor, mumbly attempts at Spanish with great tact! The interior of this place is awesome, too – lots of old French adornments, lots of space, and usually some good music on the stereo. It makes for the type of place you can just relax for hours with a book, friends, or just your thoughts. One thing that sucks is that they close pretty early(2 p.m.).

i am not quite sure if this is love at first sight or purely an infactuation… but for now, molika is as close as it gets to my romantic notion of a parisian café. molika has added meaning to my mornings in barcelona. especially endearing she is, on a wet and cold morning as today. yes, most of us would rather sleep in, snuggled up close to our loved ones. but my molika is not in bed with me but up and running by 7.30am on a week day! and in case you mistake her for the easy to access girl next door, she isn’t. molika is a 4 blocks pilgrimage for me, once, twice maybe three times daily. her small inviting frame opens up to a warm, cutesy yet rustic home kitchen. her sweet and savoury treats catches my eye almost immediately as i enter. from the simplest of croissants to apple tarts to her sandwich baguettes. all done well and everything freshly baked behind. croissants are my yardsticks for bakeries and cafes. and molika’s rendition checks all the boxes. a compact non descript exterior flakes at first bite, releasing sweet and buttery notes whilst seducing you with it’s fluffy airy light interior, ending with an ever so slight chewy drag. affirmation indeed of why i lust her so. i’ve seen many a latte art but molika led me into the world of cappuccino art! her deft artistic use of chocolate sauce further deepened my lust for her. and as her interior beauty is as desirable as her façade, molika is for keeps! thanks! thanks! thanks! thanks molika!
